Situated along the east coast of Mauritius in Trou d’Eau Douce, Friday Attitude offers air-conditioned rooms with direct access to a white sandy beach with thatched umbrellas. There is a lush garden with an outdoor pool surrounded by sun loungers.
The rooms are simply decorated and open onto a private balcony with garden views. They each have a bathroom with a shower and hairdryer.
Barbecue facilities are provided for outdoor dining. Guests can relax with a massage or an outdoor activity such as snorkelling. A child-minding service is offered and there is a games room with billiards, table tennis and darts.

Review 1：broken paddle boats only one working entertainment during the day need staff to encourage guests to participate more and get involved with the guests. cannot just hand out towels. i know it is a three star but need more variety for breakfast and supper. having the some set menu every second night.

Review 3：Found average of 1 cockroach per day in our room (usually dead). More ofa family resort. Poor lighting in rooms, ours was next to reception solots of noise until about 10pm each night as there were bands playingthere. No internet in rooms, only works at restaurant (ages from ourroom). Not acceptable in this day & age. Tried to rent paddle boats5 times over 3 days. We had been excited about this before coming. Guyin control was at lunch, another time he was missing, another time itwas too close to his finishing time, twice the sea was 'toorough...' Bad food, found a hair baked into my pastry, bacon onlyevery second morning, packet juice, not many options for vegetarians.Really expensive dinner options if you aren't fully inclusive, andtasted worse than average. 400 for just main course, 800 for set menu.Some nights set menu was the only option. Staff were rude, especiallyrestaurant staff. One receptionist was especially unhelpful when weasked for advice, other guests commented on same. Minibar price was veryhigh, charged 7 times more than the supermarket for a bottle of waterand charged for teabags and coffee sachets!! 50 rupees each!! It wasalso 200 rupees per hour to use the pool table. The location is isolatedif you don't have a car. Not even another restaurant or supermarketwithin walking distance. Lastly, they overcharged us. We booked a'book now pay later' room with free cancellation and theycharged our card straight away. Then they lowered the price of the roomsby $400 so we canceled before the deadline and rebooked. It's been 2months and we are still waiting for them to refund us the money.

Review 4：Nice beach, ping pong, close to ile au cerfs, our room maid was nice

Review 5：The hotel is family oriented and travelling alone it was not what i was looking for -my mistake-. The room was very dark, no powerful light to use in the evenings. Internet does not work in the room and the tv has a very limited selection of channels. Food is OK, but nothing to die for and sparkling water/soft drinks are not included in half board. There is no shuttle to the airport, only taxi.

Review 6：I liked the beach, easy access and fairly nice snorkeling near the shore. Very close to ile aux cerfs,reason why I decided to go to this hotel. The receptionist (Pinky) is competent and friendly.

Review 8：All staff very friendly & attentive all the time & couldn't do enough for us.the fact that it's a small hotel probably contributed to this as we felt that we were people instead of numbers. Also made it easier to interactive with other guests. Loved all the relaxing seating around the grounds & in the bars.everything thought out well with guests in mind.Gorgeous beach location .Great attention to detail to ensure everything always clean.

Review 9：We opted for 1/2 board as wanted to be out exploring through the days. Hence even tea and coffee in the room was extra $. More "Mnday Attitude" than "Friday Attitude". If you want lots of alcohol and lunch etc with no day time outings then full board is your best option. Very few guests at this resort are from English speaking countries. That's fine, just harder to connect with other travellers. Wifi was poor If you need contact with the outside world.

Review 10：Modern, comfortable,clean. Quiet. Nice beach,good snorkelling. Good to great food. Nice village Trou d'Eau Douce 15 min walk away. Easy access to the ile aux cerfs Island. Lovely packed lunch available to take to the island. Generally the staff were very helpful. Appreciated the late check out.

Review 11：While wifi worked generally in the room, it worked best when on the balcony or outside closer to the reception - the internet was nice and fast there.

Review 12：I really enjoyed my stay at Friday Attitude! I'd definitely stay there again when next in that part of the world. Good value for money. The staff were pleasant. Nice size hotel - not too big and impersonal. The facilities excellent, very nice beach and pool. I got a room very close to the beach. The evenings were peaceful (although there was parties going on at the other side of the hotel but wasn't a disturbance if one needed to get to sleep earlier for business meetings the next day).

Review 13：No wifi in rooms. No vegaterian food in dinner Bathrooms have no doors. Only curtain. This may be important for families.

Review 16：Friday Attitude is a lovely hotel. Our stay was excellent from the minute we arrived there. The staff was as friendly as anyone could wish for, very attentive and polite. As Mauritians, we really appreciated being treated as importantly as tourists. We had 3 elderly people with us and the staff ensured we had rooms close to the hotel restaurant and beach so that they wouldn't have to walk too much. I had an issue with my car (battery went dead after I forgot the lights on). The hotel manager and other staff went above and beyond to help me fix it, without asking for any extra money. The hotel manager even allowed us to check out late at no extra cost. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back!

Review 17：Very attentive staff, nice beachfront and equipment ( mask, fins, snorkel, sit-on kayaks), good breakfast buffet, comfortable room. Great place for a relaxing time on the beach!

Review 22：It was just perfect. The best choice for a very convenient price. Location: located on a very good beach, good side of the island, close to Ile aux Cerfs, not too far from the central and south of the island (tours), not far from markets and shopping (Port Louis, Centre de Flaq, etc). Type of hotel: nice & cozy - only 51 rooms - the staff is really made of many people, all kind, smiling and willing to help and make you comfortable. Very nice garden with palms, flowers, nice small swimming pool, managed by a nice and always present group of people (the dicrector is always around to supervise) Rooms: all redecorated since Sept 2014, all new, family rooms are huge, with 4-5 beds, nice colors and materials. Restaurant: we liked it a lot. It's a buffet with local and internation dishes. Some Italian family claimed the cuisine was too local and spicy but we are in Africa and in the middle of the Indian ocean. Anyway, perfect for visitors, not enough for tourists looking for spaghetti. The beach: the beach of the hotel is not very large but it has natural free beaches on the left and right. Long chairs and sun umbrellas are very comfortable. The beach has a large laguna in front with corals for snorkling in front and the reef not far. Services: good and not too complicated. We organized a tour by boat to Ile aux cerfs, we were picked up directly on the hotel beach, tours to the centre of the island, airport pickup, spa massages etc.

Review 23：Cook could have done better. But always lots of fruit. More buy coconut water - it is useful for health. Expensive Lunches and dinners. Sootnoshenie rates and quality rates as a 5 star hotel, and serves as a 3 *.

Review 29：Loved the modern open plan feel to the hotel. From the gorgeous entrance and main rooms, ie dining area and beach bar, to the swimming pool and the arrangement of lovely sun beds etc around the beautiful swimming pool. We are a mature couple and just loved the feel of the hotel, our room was extremely comfortable and modern. Staff were extremely helpful from the welcome at the reception, to the bar and dining staff. Much more than a 3 star!! I would highly recommend the hotel to couples and families!!

Review 46：We have been there for 5 nights, B&B solution. We've appreciated a lot the hotel and our considerations are: (1) the residence is not brand-new but it is very good and it has all the facilities you need to completely enjoy your vacation (2) The hall, the rooms, the garden, the B&B restaurant are very beautiful. (3) What's drastically above the average is the seaside: you are in a protected area and the reef is the marvellous. By snorkeling you can see all the colored fishes and corals you want: the water is crystal clear! And consider that moving 1-2 km south to the lagoon, the sea beacomes orrible! (5) surroundings: there is almost nothing. People disappear at 6 p.m., you got no more than two restaurant options (one, Chez Tino, very very good). Moreover you can visit by boat the small islands nearby but, believe me, if you like snorkeling and a beautiful beach at the same time, you will not find anything better around in Trou d'eau Douce.

Review 49：It is not a fancy hotel, but for the price, it is a good option. Too little aquatic activities offered for free. Furniture in the room, not good looking. Swimming pool did not look clean. Buffet did not offer a lot of variety and staff have been nicer in all the other hotels I have been in there (but maybe they were excepcional and these ones are only good :). This was my favourite beach in the main island :D

Review 50：The beach. It was the most beautiful beach I saw in the main island (surely the "ile aux cerfs" is the one - It is very closed to it). You can snorkel on the coast. wow! You get the "beach hotel" feeling, with a stunning view of the sea. Room was confortable, but a little dated.

Review 51：Hotel said all food halaal but on deeper investigation this was not so. Non halaal food should be kept separately and clearly marked. Difficult to lock your door. Takes many attempts.

I was charged before arrival and again upon check-out which I think is a blunder from the front desk. The staff at the restaurant and the boat house are miserable. Wi-fi only in the lobby area. It's a bit of walk,if you are not full board and want to go to a restaurant for dinner, lunch..it's about 2kms to the nearest bar/restaurant
