Reviews for Rina Rooms

Review 1:Their were a lot of steps it didn't bother us too much but maybe it would for an older couple.

Review 2:We liked the balcony it was cool to go up top and see the city. It was clean and good location. And the son was very nice and helpful.

Review 3:Rina was very friendly, and we loved that we had a patio, as requested. Vernazza is the most convenient and scenic of the towns for hiking the Cinque Terre. The room was good. Loved our room, but a bit weird that it was also where the laundry facilities for the owners were, although we were out all day and so it didn't impact on our stay. It would have been great to be able to use washer/dryer that was in our bathroom. Grazie - we had a wonderful stay and wished it could have been longer! Becky & Craig Knapton N. Vancouver, BC Canada

Review 4:We had the appt that the owners did all the house keeping from , so very often the washing machine was on ! They were always there we got home from day out ! It just didn't feel private enough , breakfast was dreadful !

Review 5:The location

Review 6:Rather modest but typical Italian breakfast (a croissant, a cup of coffee/tea, juice and yoghurt).

Review 7:Very close to the railway station and in the heart of the village at the same time; The room was ready and available even if I was late for the check-in (the instructions were given on the phone and no problems made. I appreciate that a lot!); very nice host we met at the check-out; actually two rooms available (the bed room and the breakfast room); hair dryer, fresh towels, toiletters, coffee mashine, electric kettle and small refrigerator available;

Review 8:The coffee was good but the breakfast was not. We bought bread and pastries at a nearby bakery.

Review 9:We were fortunate enough to be given a small apartment with access to a balcony and a roof top terrace with a view. We stayed 5 nights. The location was great as it was close to transport, pathways to neighbouring villages as well as cafes, restaurants etc

Review 10:How hot the room was..

Review 11:Location. We liked our room but we saw others that were horrible. Others were way too small and only had one tiny fan..we had two tiny fans.

Review 12:Cash only payment (not a huge deal, mind you). No air conditioning

Review 13:Very friendly owners. Great location in one of the central towns in Cinque Terre. Reasonable price to have laundry done. You're in luck if you have the top room with the balcony and rooftop patio access.

Review 14:There is no air conditioning in this place which made it very difficult to sleep (in July). The room is accessed via 3 steep narrow staircases which was OK for us but not good for anyone with restricted mobility

Review 15:Great location and the roof terrace was a wonderful place to take an evening drink and nibbles.

Review 16:We arrived and rang arena. Her husband came and let us in. We had a twin room which actually had two rooms. There was a great coffee machine and wifi. It was a great base from which we explored the Cinque Terre.

Review 17:It was really difficult to find it. No any signboard outside, nowhere you can find the name of the street..... And you have to park your car about 1-1,5 km before the town. After you take your baggage and try to reach the Rina rooms. Than in old town you will go by old stairs 10 time back and forth with your baggage trying to find the right house and door without street names. And the check out at 9.45 am, hmm.. But its not a problem

Review 18:The location is great, authentic house, perfect atmosphere

Review 19:Slightly peculiar check-in arrangements. Check-in only available 2-5pm so arriving earlier we had to arrange to leave our bags in the corridor of the property and then had to curtail our walking to be back in time to check-in. Not ideal.

Review 20:A nice stopping point and base to explore Vernazza and the Cinque Terre region. Not luxurious but a private apartment with 2 rooms and en suite on a side street which was comfortable for overnight stay.

Review 21:We booked a room and ended up with a room, eating area for breakfast (with kettle etc) along with a balcony and roof terrace which was a really nice surprise and worth checking if booking if you can get that room. Vernazza is in my opinion the best of the cinque terre villages and this place was in a great location - just off a little side street on the right of the main street. The staff were friendly and unobtrusive. Breakfast simple but adequate.

Review 22:Booked a room for 3 nights. The place was amazing - comfortable and very clean. Had the top room, which had access to a balcony and a roof terrace (had a view of the sea!). I would definitely recommend trying to book this room. Room was more than sufficient, with a big clean double bed. Shower and bathroom was also extremely clean. Breakfast was simple and served every morning (consisted of croissants, coffee and some cereal). The host was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. I would like to thank Rina Rooms for an incredible stay and I hope to return very soon!

Review 23:We booked a twin bed for 2nights. They offered a extra bed in the living room, even though is part of our room. So we made a twin bed for us. Left a note don't need to making our bed and come in our room, but they still made it. They didn't refill 2nd day' breakfast very well.

Review 24:Nope

Review 25:we stay end of Oct, was a little bit cold

Review 26:Cosy place. Big living room with TV and double sofa. Kitchen is more than enough. Two balcony and a terrace that you can sunbathe . Wifi is very fast and strong. Very close to the train station and the beach

Review 27:It did not bother us, but someone with mobility issues should not stay here. There are several steep staircases. The shower curtain stuck to you and let water get all over the bathroom floor, making showering inconvenient to say the least.

Review 28:Close to the train without the noise of the station. A short alley from the main walkway, which made it a bit quieter.

Review 29:Had a short stay - would love to come back again!

Review 30:Excellent host, kind and helpful - Elisabeth Very close to Vernazza station with two access ways Very nice rooms with decoration - paintings, nice breakfast options On the trail to the best view in Vernazza

Review 31:Location was great, only about 2 minute walk from the train station. Our room was quote a surprise, it was like our own apartment and with private access to the roof! All we needed for breakfast was provided including a lovely coffee machine. Was not disappointed at all.

Review 32:We asked for twin beds. Found out the day before it wasn't available. They provided an apartment with comfy double bed and a single fold-out bed that was ok. If you need twin beds, make sure you get a confirmation in advance.

Review 33:We stayed in apartment 3. Room and kitchen open out to adjoining balcony, rooftop terrace with sun loungers, location. Not luxurious but it feels more like staying at someone's home and it was clean. Coffee machine with capsules and milk provided were a nice surprise!

Review 34:Great location in the heart of the village. It is more a flat than an hotel, you feel like a local. Good breakfast set for us. We had the top room which had extra stairs up to a rooftop terrace with lovely views - nice for afternoon drinks in the sun. Beware there are lots of stairs to climb (but expected in the village).

Review 35:Breakfast products, didn't bother with them. We bought fresh fruit from nearby little deli/store or Italian pastry and coffee. Owners operated servicing of other rooms from our sitting room, that didn't really bother us but could possibly impinge on privacy. We were just amused by the set up. 3 flights of very steep stairs to our rooms. But this is Vernazza so expect that.

Review 36:Balcony with clothes line. Location just off the main street, not far from train station or harbour and little supermarkets. We stayed for 4 nights, booked well in advance and had an upper balcony (but first climb a steep ladder) with sea view

Review 37:Liked the town of Vernazza. Loved the hike from Monterrosso to Vernazza. Liked the family feel of the apartment. Liked that the staff provided a coffee maker and items for premade breakfast. The WiFi was the best we had in Italy!! That was an awesome plus. View of rooftops and little path below. We stayed one night and headed to train station that was very close. Check in was fast.

Review 38:Lots of steps from the main street up to the house then 3 flights of stairs to get to the room. But everything is like that in Vernazza!

Review 39:Location is perfect - right in the middle of the town off the main street. Easy walk to the beach and train station. Room included small living room/dining room stocked with plenty of packaged options for breakfast every morning. Coffee maker. Separate bedroom and bathroom with shower. Nothing elaborate - good value for the money.

Review 40:Pillows, wifi did not work 2 of the 4 days we were there. Be aware there are 3 flights of steep stairs, difficult if you have a lot of baggage but this is typical of the area.

Review 41:Easy to find from the train station, lots of space including kitchen, living room, bedroom and balcony. Near Blue Marlin which is good for breakfast and wifi. Best town in our opinion of the five in Cinque Terre.

Review 42:Amazing place! Amazing staff. Excellent localization!

Review 43:Packed breakfast. Not freshly baked goods.

Review 44:Loved the view from the balcony.

Review 45:very comfortable stay and really enjoyed the breakfast. During traveling having breakfast is golden.

Review 46:Wonderful people, great location

Review 47:Great location, nice balcony.

Review 48:Rather shabby

Review 49:Location

Review 50:Great value , good location.

Review 51:getting the upper room is really highlight

Review 52:Wifi was not workibg that night

Review 53:Located right in the middle of Vernazza. Friendly owners.

Review 54:very old facility, the room and the bed has opposite inclination, small room but large breakfast area.

Review 55:location, the owner

Review 56:the village do not have too many places for dinner, only one small grocery store open in the 19:30

Review 57:the location is good

Review 58:The confusion over payment The stairs

Review 59:-Nothing!

Review 60:-close to the station (Vernazza itself is small village) -very nice and kind staff -clean room and bath room -good breakfast -balcony

Review 61:Great location, Breakfast left and lots of it.

Review 62:Personal photos on the walls

Review 63:Rooftop patio

Review 64:Wi-Fi connection was pretty bad.

Review 65:nice room and crew.

Review 66:Nothing!

Review 67:Location is excellent! Literally a stone throw from the Vernazza train station. We had our own balcony and rooftop from which we enjoyed private sundowners. The welcoming staff were amazing!

Review 68:The location was great! We lucked into getting the upper room that is actually a small apartment with a deck and access to the roof terrace. Views are mostly of the roofs of other buildings, but there is a small view of the sea from the roof terrace. The rooms were clean and bright, the bed was comfortable. The place was so homey. It felt like I was staying with relatives. Rina was very helpful. We only had two nights there, but it would definitely be a good place to stay much longer.

Review 69:The room was in the second floor that we could not enjoy the sea view

Review 70:I liked the location. It was a good place to stay. Staff was very nice and prepared a numbers of food for us

Review 71:I would rather have something more healthy for breakfast than pastries. The cornflakes however were good. There was juice and yoghurt too which was appreciated.

Review 72:We had basically had a little flat to ourselves with kitchen bathroom and bedroom with two balconies. It was great to sit out and have a drink in the top sunny terrace with lounges and small eating table and chairs.

Review 73:The host and the location truly makes this property the ideal place to stay! We found everything to be just what we needed and had a wonderful time getting to know Elisabetta! We felt as if we were practically being welcomed into her family and staying in her guest house. Great advice and wonderful, helpful service!

Review 74:Paying € 100.00 per night (for the two of us) and NOT even having some little nighttables next to the bed BUT only 2 chairs & having a verrrry basic breakfast (NO fresh bred, NO cheese, NO fruits, NO ham!) and difficult to find (NO signs on the way, just in front of the entrance door) .... is for us an ABUSE of us travellers!!! Basically they are renting out their private home during tourist season - NO, we didn´t feel "at home" at their home! Also because there were a lot of DON´T do this & DON´T do that signs !!!! What do they want? Our hard earned money but acting like our bosses ....??? So, it´s a clear NOOOOO!!!! (P.S.: We have just sent off 3 other booking.com commentaries for Siena, Lucca & Firence - and all got top points from us!)

Review 75:None.

Review 76:Lovely room, nice location, very nice staff with friendly service. Top hill to see vernazza view is very near to go from rina. Nicer than seeing from cognigilier. Luckily that elizabeth told us prior to go somewhere else, cause we never know this mark point before.

Review 77:It was all wonderful!

Review 78:Rina Rooms exceeded our expectations.A stone's throw from the train station and harbour in beautiful Vernazza. Lovely warm welcome from the owners with advice about local places to eat and shop. We stayed in a very comfortable apartment with balcony access and breakfast was laid out for us daily. A gem of a property, thank you Elisabetta and Rina. :)

Review 79:This room was like staying at your grandmas house. It was an apartment and looked like someone had a slight hoarding problem. There were hand written notes all over the place that said don't touch. you could not use the kitchen. The shower was unusable and there was no hot water. There was laundry hanging on the balcony to dry and rendered the balcony unusable. We never met any one affiliated with the place but were asked by phone to leave the money for the room on the table and no one saw our passports and we got no receipt. It was weird !

Review 80:I liked the location

Review 81:No sea view.

Review 82:The room is perfect, very big. A comfortable living room with TV and double sofa. Two clear balcony with full sunshine. And the wifi is very fast and strong

Review 83:Difficult to find. I thought it would be easy to find in such a small town, but Rina rooms is hidden down a side alley with no signs anywhere. Bring a map!!!

Review 84:Vernazza is a amazing little town. I hope to visit again someday. Rina was a nice place and a good value!

Review 85:There was a dirty towell still hanging in bathroom. There is a lot of random personal things out. All the linens are out in the bathroom. It was cold, they put the heat on but still cold.

Review 86:Staff very nice. Warm water. Location good.

Review 87:Just know there are a number of steps to get up to the rooms. But this is Cinque Terra, the land of steps.

Review 88:The location and the price are a great combination and Elizabetta was a great host. She grew up in Vernazza and gave us some great hints on what to do. We had a bedroom and breakfast room. Breakfast is self serve. They leave milk, etc in a fridge and there are baked goods on the table.

Review 89:owners never present, breakfast items either stale and skimpy, not very clean, would not accept credit card payment even though web site said otherwise, claimed credit card machine was broken

Review 90:not much

Review 91:Isabetta the owner was fantastic. She gave us so much information on the area, local restaurants and life in The Cinque Terra. We stayed in room 3 which offered 2 outside decks, one of them was the rooftop deck. The room is in the owners home which was an unique experience. If you want a true Vernazza experience stay at Rina Rooms. We would definitely stay again. Thanks Elizabetta for the wonderful hospitality. Your friends from Canada.

Review 92:nothing!

Review 93:The location could not have been better! Only 30 steps from the main street, and 4 minutes from the train station. Very close to the harbour without the "traffic" of tourists. The apartment was spacious, clean, well equipped and had a roof terrace with even a sea view!! Our hostess Elizabetta and her dad were most hospitable and kind, and made sure nothing was lacking. Of all our holiday I would give Rina Rooms a 10/10!! And Vernazza the best of the Cinque Terre towns!

Review 94:Rina was very nice and allowed us to drop our bags in advance of check-in. Location was great, easy to find and was nice having a little sitting room along with the bedroom.

Review 95:Breakfast wasn't that great. Pre-packed food.

Review 96:The owner of Rina Rooms was VERY accommodating of our late arrival schedule and very helpful. She is quick in her e-mail responses! The room was modest, but clean and the view was great. We had the top floor which looked more like a mini apartment and had access to the roof so we could see all of Vernazza. Also, owner allowed us to safely store our luggage at location after our check out time.

Review 97:A perfect spot in a wonderful town. We had the upper room and got to eat breakfast on the terrace. Have already personally recommended to a few friends.

Review 98:the prepackaged croissants.

Review 99:Rina was really nice! the room is cozy and the location is fantastic! the bed is comfortable. For the breakfast, you get yogurts, jams, melba toasts, coffee that you make yourself in the machine, and lots of milk (so you can use the milk foamer and make yourself a latte) and iced tea - it is really perfect if you go to the market and get a few fresh fruits and some cheese to supplement it! very clean. decent washroom with a good shower.

Review 100:Parking was a whiles away as you have to hike down a bit to get to town. Once in town, its very small and easy to find, just be ready for stars. From simple stairs to steep stairs at Rina's. We have two babies and the issue may have been the stroller but I managed to get it up the stairs all by myself ;) without the babies of course...

Review 101:Location was very unique. The owner was also very receptive. The rooms appeared to be a house so we felt as we were home. We had dinner in our room as it was attached to the dinning room, we ordered to go from a local restaurant who even brought the food up with us and we returned the plates the next day. Great experience and want to thank Rina for treating us so well...her momma taught her well. May momma Rina rest in peace.

Review 102:There are three rooms in this small detached house in the center of Vernazza. We had a double room at the top with possibility to use the kitchen. We had an exit to the the roof terrace with a great view. It was a lovely and very authentic experience.

Review 103:The room and the bathroom were really clean. We had a great terrace onthe top of the room with a really nice view of the village. We also hada living room with a tv - but since we had the terrace we actually neverused it. Breakfast - coffe and a croissant was included in the price. The location is really good, by the main street and really close to thetrain station and the beach. The staff was really nice and helpfull.

Review 104:Nothing

Review 105:Staff was outstanding, location very close to rail station, would recommend Rina Rooms to everyone.

Review 106:Wonderful location in Vernazza. The hostess was great, though we did not get a chance to meet. Would defnitely return there.

Review 107:location & value

Review 108:We liked everything!

Review 109:The owners were extremely friendly. We particularly liked being able to make our own coffee and tea.

Review 110:good

Review 111:Need more towels, better breakfast

Review 112:Great location, great staff

Review 113:Convenient location...clean and pleasant room

Review 114:No couch

Review 115:Loved location and apartment size

Review 116:Excellent location, comfortable bed, great value for your money! Vernazza is a beautiful town!!

Review 117:Location in Vernazza excellent for touring the Cinque Terre trails
