Reviews for Hotel Autoespresso
Review 1:You have to get a new password for the wifi every day. The restaurant´s dinner buffet was not good, and they have very poor service. We had a bad experience that we had to change rooms. The room above us was so loud, they seemed to be fighting and were shouting all nigh long.
Review 2:Location is good if you have a car. They have free parking. Breakfast is nice, lots of items, especially sweet breads and croissants. Room is small if you consider 3 people - we had to put a luggage inside the closet.
Review 3:Little bit poor breakfast Not clean towel drier in bathroom
Review 4:Very close to trains station Bus stop is in front of the hotel Very friendly stuff Best value for this money Very comfortable big room and large bed Clean and pretty Modern bathroom, with cleen toilet and large cabin
Review 5:Room environment give you and empty/cold feeling
Review 6:Good location if you are on the move and stay for short term in Venice, good conditions and free car parking
Review 7:The only small complaint I have is the breakfast. It is not bad for a small hotel, but as a non italian person I would have liked a little more bread and not just some slices of very white toast or cakes. But as I said, not at all bad for the price.
Review 8:This is a very cosy hotel with friendly and helpful staff 10 away from Venice with bus or car. We stayed here 2 times and would absolutely go again! Perfect if you have a rental car or your own car as it is close to impossible to park in Venice. The hotel offers free parking and it is easy to go to Venice by bus. The bus is cheap and goes almost 24 hours a day.
Review 9:Maybe the walls are not the thickest
Review 10:Very convenient location. Affordable prices. Clean rooms. The staff is very friendly. Would stay there again. Maybe the walls are not the thickest, but overall one of the best hotels I've stayed in. They have everything you need for your stay. Maps, bus tickets etc.
Review 11:No supermarket near to the hotel
Review 12:Next to bus stop to venice .. Roundtrip 3eur .. About 10min by bus to venice ..You can buy ticket at the reception .. Very nice stuff .. Our room was in the 3rd floor .. elivator only to 2nd floor but for us no problem .. Free private parking
Review 13:The heater is not switched on even though we have requested for it. It was pretty cold after a shower. Hotel booked for us a van and mentioned it cost Euro15 from hotel to Train Station (merely 5 mins) at around 0.30hrs but driver insisted that we pay Euro25 upon reaching the Train Station.
Review 14:The hotel is clean and near train station.
Review 15:The location was my least favorite part. Not bad, but not the greatest. But, it's near the Venice airport. Easy to get to.
Review 16:Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Great price. Very, very nice rooms.
Review 17:I was charged for my wife as an additional person although I had rented a double bed. When they say "single use" they mean rate covers only one person. By charging for two the rate is not competitive. The misundertanding was not negotiable.
Review 18:location near bus and restaurant near station.
Review 19:Location in a suburb but we came for Venice and not for Mestre.
Review 20:Nice personnel, very vriendly. Nice big room. Bus stop at 2 minutes and less than 10 minutes from Venice. Even if not much places to eat we had two very nice place nearby.
Review 21:Rooms were sparse -1 x chair for a large double room that you could fit a 3 person sofa easily! Motorway view -but that is why it is good price.
Review 22:Staff were helpful, breakfast good, nice room; clean. Easy bus to Venice 10 mins
Review 23:No tea/coffee making facilities or fridge in room. WiFi was a bit slow.
Review 24:Close to SMN station. Spacious, clean and quiet rooms. Great shower pressure. Good selection of sweet and savoury food for breakfast.
Review 25:Watch on the way how they handle money when you buy the buss tickets on the reception. My wife was complaining that the lady at the desk took a 10 euros banknote (2 return buss ticket cost 6 euros) from her, put this banknote in a drawer, ask for an euro coin and then dispute the fact that she handled 10 euros and did not return 5 euros stating that she got only 5 (banknote). They should leave the money on the counter until the transaction is complete to avoid dispute and complains. 5 euros is not worth headache but it bothers ...
Review 26:I can't really say too much about the hotel as we spent only a night in the hotel. Location is convenient regarding buss transit to Venice and shuttle transport to the airport. Hotel is clean, nice and clean bathroom. We did not try the food or coffee at the hotel so we can't comment on the quality but it is very close to a big market in Marghera with a lot of selection to get much cheaper food and coffee. All together, we've found several other hotels in the vicinity (3 star rating) which offer accommodation for about 50 euros a day assuming stay of 3 days or more with equal or better location convenience (even closer to the buss and tram stations and closer to the market/coffee shops/cheap restaurants) if you are interested in the longer stay in Venice area.
Review 27:Nothing to mention
Review 28:The hotel is very close to the Metro station, the staff are very welcoming and very helpful regarding the details we asked for our journey to Venice, and they advice us with what to do and how to use the transportation. The place is v. clean and quite, the breakfast was full and really enjoy it.
Review 29:small shower but nothing important
Review 30:Big and comfortable bedrooms and beds, excellent location, bus to Venice at only 20 mts from the hotel. You can even buy bus tickets at the hotel.
Review 31:We were on the top floor and the staff were in the roof just the noise they made would be my only problem
Review 32:Location staff and the restaurant just down the road. Turn left and it's a 3 minute walk it has a place to drink outside the food is fantastic
Review 33:No fridge in the Hotel room.
Review 34:It was a great pleasure staying at this cnetrally located Hotel. 3 stops to Piazzale di Roma on Venice Island. The staff was so friendly as if you were part of the Family. Breakfast much above Italian Standard. Room new, large and clean. Parking lot in the backyard Video controlled. Always again during the next stay. And thanks for the espressi for free. ,-)))
Review 35:Only negative thing; the new stairs on the top level has a sloping step at the top. It is not marked with any warning and could result in a dangerous fall.
Review 36:For a small budget accommodation, the friendliness of he staff is fantastic and the breakfast is really wonderful. Great clean rooms.
Review 37:nothing to do oth hotel but bring something to deal with mosquitoes . not in hotel though since they supply the electric plug in devices, just if going outside.
Review 38:Hotel Autoespresso is the place to stay if you dont want to pay expensive Venice prices ! supermodern and clean rooms , friendly staff and excellent breakfast ! very nice small bar downstairs as well. Will definitely recommend to others and stay there again if we ever go back to Venice.
Review 39:Would have preferred to be in Venice itself but were unable to find good affordable accommodation due to a film festival which had started the weekend we stayed. No lift to 2nd floor.
Review 40:Less than 10minutes walk from Venice Mestre railway station. Clean, friendly, good breakfast.
Review 41:Mosquitoes!
Review 42:Location couldn't be better! It connects the hotel to Venezia old town directly by bus. Just park your car at the hotel and take the buss to the old town. Priceless!
Review 43:The staff was very welcoming and friendly - both ladies always charming and very helpful! A special thanks for help with finding my cats in another city:) ;)
Review 44:None.
Review 45:Spotless spacious room. Staff friendly and helpful. Wifi is great. Delicious breakfast. Close to the bus stop - line 6 or 6L will get you to Piazzale Roma in less than 10 minutes. Return stop from Venice is even closer to the hotel.
Review 46:My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in July to visit Venice , excellent location close to the railway and bus station .A short 10 minute train journey into Venice and a similar tram journey into the centre of Mestere. The girls in the reception were lovely and extremely helpful and the buffet breakfast was excellent .We would definitely stay here again.
Review 47:A refrigerator would be nice...
Review 48:Ideal place to visit Venice, the transportation is really easy with only one bus. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The room is spacious and comfortable.
Review 49:I did not know that tax is not included in the price declared in booking.com. We were asked to pay apprpximately 10 euro more
Review 50:Staffs were helpful. The brealfast was good. The location was prefect for the venice travellers who have car
Review 51:Staff were very helpful and kind, and gave good advice on travel in and out of Venice which was really easy (10 minutes on bus). Air-conditioning in rooms was a life-saver when we were there as it was really hot out. Excellent value
Review 52:1. Staff When we arrived to the hotel by 9pm. There was a middle age lady waiting for us. The hotel doest have the sign for entrance nor reception, from the front all I could see was a bar in a deem light coming out. I opened the door and went inside and asked if It's the place for check in and the lady said "if you want" in a sulking tone. Anyway we got in and wanted to checj in and she asked for passport for me and my friend. We just got back from Firenze and he left his passport in a hotel Siena and we called for DHL and it was on the way to Milan because we only stay in Venice for a day and move to Milan the right next day and the passport might arrive in time. And we explained our situation hotel in Firenze didnt have problem showing my friend's Korean ID card for check in. However the lady seemed annoyed when I explained our situation and kept saying "you cant travel foreign country without your passport" and wasn't going to check in. I asked nicely again "is there any way to check in" and she said "yeah you going out" (that was her way of saying "i can kick you off"). I was speechless because of her attitude. And she said "what if a police officer stops you on the street and asks for a passport, you'll be in a trouble" So I said "yeah IN THE CASE, I would explain mh situation and still its a problem and I will call for a help to a Koreab embassy!" She didnt say much and asked for my friends Koreab ID with frown and kept complaing about she cant read Korean and cant understand what it says. So I explained a word to word. I could notice that she was ignoring us. ( i am trying not to play a racist card here). 2. Cleaness In the shower, there was some many short hairs (maybe from man saving) stuck on the wall very dirty 3. Noise The location is right in front if the big road. There are lot of car noise during night
Review 53:Not much
Review 54:Did not allow late checkout, even for a fee, when I had a very bad cold. Ruined the rest of my day.
Review 55:Clean, quiet, and polite. Bus into Venice is very convenient. Don't rule out restaurants in Marghera, the staff made an excellent recommendation.
Review 56:The only inconvenience can be fact that walls are quite thin (at least on the top floor) and you can hear neighbors if they are too noisy ;)
Review 57:Hotel has very good localization if you are traveling with car and you don’t want to search for parking in Venice. Bus stops for busses going to and from Venice are next to Hotel and in hotel you are able to buy bus tickets. Room was very nice and tidy.
Review 58:The only downsides were that the breakfast fare was rather plain and the size/position of the shower in the bathroom was sub-optimal.
Review 59:The location is really easy to access from the main roads/highway and it is very close to public transportation (bus/tram). There's parking and the rooms themselves are large and clean and the bed was firm.
Review 60:Marghera is not the best city, but it doesn't matter as it's very comfort for visiting venezia in a reasonable price
Review 61:we have stayed 2 nights at the hotel for a one full day in Venezia. the hotel was conveniently located close to the bus stations to venice (10 mins ride) and especially to the one on the way back which is good when you come back at night. the hotel is vey nice and cozy and the rooms were nice and clean in a new section of the hotel. breakfast was great and the staff was very nice and informative so i think this is a great choice when you want to visit venezia
Review 62:Nice family hotel, with great location to explore Venice. Bus station is just a few steps and it takes a few minutes to get to Venice. Staff (especioally Stephanie) were very kind and helpful!
Review 63:No complaints at all.
Review 64:Staff were friendly and accommodating. Location was excellent for local shopping, transport and family restaurants. Breakfast was brilliant. They now have a lift, so getting luggage to the room was a breeze.
Review 65:No lift, but its acceptable
Review 66:Great staff, provide you with help Location is convenient, there is a bus stop at walking distance Cleanliness and Breakfast are great too
Review 67:outer appearance & surrounding area, no restaurants nearby
Review 68:very friendly & responsvie staff, big rooms, usual italian breakfast, easy access to bus-line for venice island
Review 69:The rooms on the side of the street are quite noisy.
Review 70:I liked the good position of the hotel near the bus stop and about 10 minutes to Venezia by bus. Good conditions for parking the car.
Review 71:Lift doesn't work 3 bags to the 3rd floor by hands((( 9.30 breakfast hall is practically empty((
Review 72:Good location close to Train Station - easy to catch to centre of Venice Good staff Calm Area Good Wifi
Review 73:Nothing.
Review 74:We liked the breakfast and the staff is great family experience. Bus stop into Venice train station area is close to hotel. Large room is very quiet for great nights sleep.
Review 75:Not a big issue , however table in bedroom for office work a little small.
Review 76:Location : next to Port area, very nearby easy to reach from airport by car Very friendly staff and personnel Hotel 1.5 year old , very clean
Review 77:Wi-Fi wasn't working in our room. I told the staff but there was no change. 방에서 와이파이가 잘 안잡혀서 복도로나와서 사용함. 직원에게 말해도 별다른 조치없었음.
Review 78:Room was very comfortable, very good value for money. 생각보다 방과 화장실이 넓어서 사용하기 편했음.
Review 79:The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Also, the location was noisy with traffic and thin walls.
Review 80:The location was easy access to the bus line going into Venice
Review 81:We had initially problems with the wifi while we were checking what to go and visit. This was an inconvenience but it was probably due to the provider and not the hotel. The problem was solved within couple of hours so no major problem after all. The external appearance of the hotel and the surrounding area is not particularly nice but once inside everything was extremely clean and nice. Breakfast was nothing special and the last day we decided to go and eat outside. Overall still good value for money
Review 82:Amazing value for money with excellent customer service (Italian style) All the receptionists were extremely helpful, print out bus timetable for us, gave us some useful tips and reacted promptly to any of our requests
Review 83:Staff (really professional and helpful), clean and comfortable room, nice breakfast. Good location - it takes 10 minutes to island by bus. You can buy a bus ticket at reception, the station is behind the hotel.
Review 84:At night the next door people spoke loudly and I woke up.
Review 85:Good location, the bus stop is close and people are kind and friendly. The breakfast is good with vegetable.
Review 86:The bed was a little bit hard, but not a problem if you only stay one or two days. The hotel is not in the center of Venice, but it is easy to get there by bus.
Review 87:The staff was very helpful and friendly and for the price I found that the hotel have very good value for the money. It is a basic hotel but it offers free parking, free wifi and free breakfast for a very low price. It was easy and cheap to get to the center of Venice by bus (10 min).
Review 88:Third floor is attic and rooms on that floor have only two small skylights (roof windows). They are functional but with very small amount of natural light.
Review 89:Staff is very friendly and willing to help. Nearby public traffic is very frequent and it is only 10min of ride to vaporetto boats station at the beginning of Grand Canal.
Review 90:The decor is a bit spartan and anonymous; breakfast is generous but bland; no bath-tub, only shower in the en-suite; the biggest pity is the lack of a restaurant - which, from what we had heard from friends, had been very good!
Review 91:The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable; the location, albeit a bit off the beaten track, has easy access to Venice; costs are more than accessible; everything is spotless and clean. If you have a choice, select rooms 25 and 26 or 15 and 16 and the rooms on the front are a bit noisy.
Review 92:OK there's no lift - wasn't bothered by this in the least. I suppose the breakfast is a little expensive at a tenner but it's great! No supermarket nearby
Review 93:It's no distance from Mestre station - on the Marghera side. Exit from the binario underpass and your're practically there. It's a few doors down from Al Vapore which is usually rocking. Huge modern room with 4 star services and hassle free internet. Loved it. Staff are gorgeous.
Review 94:none
Review 95:Very convenient location to visit Venice. Bus stops around the corner and it takes 10 minutes to get to Venice. Parking is free. Wi-Fi is good and free. Very helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms.
Review 96:Lack of lift (under construction during our visit, but only to second floor). Our first room was on third floor, we had heavy luggage as we were going on a cruise.
Review 97:Location ideal for access to airport, city centre, port and railway stations. Great value for money, includes good variety buffet breakfast. All staff incredibly helpful and efficient, and in several languages.
Review 98:The room was in front of a avenue and was a little bit noise at night.
Review 99:The room is big, with new beds. The bathroom is big as well, and was clean with everything working well. The staff was helpful and friendly. Is easy to get the bus to Venice.
Review 100:The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside due to remodeling but on the inside, it is amazing. The room was great, bathroom was up to date and modern. I will definitely stay here again the next time I come to venice. The staff had so much personality and energy, I loved working with them. The breakfast was great and a tone of options.
Review 101:Totally supportive and friendly staff. Quiet room. Very good breakfast. Close to Venice center.Bus stop near Hotel, only 12 minutes drive to Venice Main Bus Station.
Review 102:The noise from the street.
Review 103:The location was perfect. The bus stop for Venice was just 50 meters away. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 104:We were 2 couples travelling together and had booked 2 double rooms, somehow the booking went through to the hotel as a single wanting a double room. The owner refused to see that it was an error that had occurred and charged us an extra 25Euros per room which meant that we paid 120Euros instead of the 95Euros that the room was advertised at. Won't be going there again.
Review 105:It was clean and breakfast was good, however because it was on a busy road it was very noisy.
Review 106:Nothing really I was worried it would be a bit old and dirty as it is alot cheaper than most accommodation in venice but it was nice
Review 107:Staff were very helpful close to venice city centre by bus lots of room
Review 108:Bedroom didn't have a fridge which I think it's a plus at least during summer
Review 109:Bedroom was perfect. Big bathroom, comfortable bed and all the facilities that you may need (hair dryer, phone, tv, WiFi...)
Review 110:Bed was a little bit uncomfortable.
Review 111:Great location to the bus stop. Personal is very friendly and helpful. My wife have a gluten free diet and they buy a special food for our breakfasts. It was very nice!
Review 112:No Shop near by for having small things like water etc.
Review 113:Just next to bus stop and reaching Venice center is no issue. Staff was very friendly and the rooms are very big as compared to the hotels available in Venice.
Review 114:We spent in this hotel 3 nights. Very friendly stuff. Excellent big and clean room. 2 minutes walk to the bus station where you can catch a bus (6 or 6/) to Venice. Bus tickets you can buy on reception. Breakfasts was very good. Hotel has nice private parking.
Review 115:Small shower cabine.
Review 116:The hotel is renovated which gives not only a very clean impression but it is very clean and fresh! A big difference with the very old and antique hotel rooms on Venice Island which are double to triple so expensive. It takes a while to get used to the smaller shower cabine inside the bathroom. It's not too small but it's not the standard size you would expect. No big deal because the clean room and bathroom made it right. Breakfast was OK but I think it could be better. I didn't understand why for an omelette or boiled egg there was a surcharge. The bus that brings you in 10-12 min to Venice Island is at 5 min walking from the hotel. The tickets (2,6 € / person / roundtrip) can be bought at the reception of the hotel. Finally, I would like to say a big thank you to the staff !!! During the whole stay, there were very friendly and helpful and give us good tips.
Review 117:Out of way in a residential area with nothing close by. Poor breakfast
Review 118:Friendly staff Bus stop close by which took you straight into Venice. Spacious room.
Review 119:Breakfast is Continental (not mentioned anywhere), far from exciting. Extras like omelet come at additional price. The staircase needs maintenance (but who needs it), rooms are on the floors, no elevator. Beds are quite hard, we didn't sleep too well.
Review 120:Hotel Autoespresso is a modest hotel with a family feel. Service is personal and friendly. Superb location for visiting Venice, a great alternative for Mestre, which is generally more expensive. Do not worry about the bus service from Marghera versus train from Mestre, it's fast, cheap and reliable. Hotel staff will give you detailed directions. Parking included which easily does 20 Euro per day in Mestre. Rooms in order and clean.
Review 121:Clearer directions from the station to Autoexpresso would be good. We thought the only option was to carry large suitcases down steps under the railway and then up steps the other side. We consequently found that if we went to the entrance of the station we could have used a lift to the tunnel and then only one lot of stairs the other side . The hotel is quite close.
Review 122:Being close to the bus stop that took us into Venice. Buses are quite frequent.
Review 123:No complaints except that should have refrigerator in the rooms.
Review 124:Very helpful staff. Excellent Location, it is very easy to get to Venice on the bus-10 min. The room was clean, modern,comfort...We love it...
Review 125:Hard to find it - confusing streets
Review 126:Very friendly and clean
Review 127:Very clean, comfortable and modern. Nice location only a few minutes from the bus stop to take you to city centre. I recommend it to everyone
Review 128:The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Location was good for us. Breakfast was adequate
Review 129:too high audibility in rooms: you can easily hear your neighbours
Review 130:Friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, comfortable beds, new rooms
Review 131:Very good location.
Review 132:Great home made breakfast, great location near bus station to Venice
Review 133:the location
Review 134:Spacious room and delicious breakfast, nice people
Review 135:Facility, breakfast.
Review 136:Noisy location
