Review 1：Very pleasant, clean, quiet hotel housed in lovely old villa with garden. Lots of small local shops nearby. Easy walking distance to train station, marina and town centre. The offer of a glass of Prosecco on arrival was an extremely nice touch. Staff, in particular, Erica, Sonia and Luca welcoming, smiley and friendly and I was very impressed with their language skills. Hope to return one day and would definitely recommend.

Review 2：Pillows flat, room needs redecorating as unusual colour combos and picture- however that's just my taste.

Review 4：The staff are gracious and helpful. They are clearly well-educated and trained in hospitality. The property is loaded with charm. Bicycles are provided and it's well worth the effort to cycle along the coastal bike path. The staff are familiar with restaurants if you like to sample typical local cuisine.

Review 5：This Hotel was so easy to get to from the train station that we thought we made a mistake! The room was excellent and rather large and very comfortable. It is also close to the centre of town and level all the way there which is a bonus when you're tired. We took up the offer of their free bikes and had a great time riding on all the cycle ways. ..but most of all the young staff..Erica and all at reception. .who all spoke English well made us feel really welcome. We laughed lots. There was a lovely breakfast in the front courtyard as well which was a real bonus. .great value indeed. It was a pleasure going to Hotel Alexander and we wish we could have stayed longer.

Review 11：The location is great, the staff is charming, and the breakfast is fantastic. They gave us a wonderful restaurant recommendation and they made the reservation for us. The hotel is small and the service is very personal. Breakfast is served in their front garden, which is delightful.

The garden in front of the hotel is a highlight where staff served us prosecco and the kids made use of the games available. Breakfast served in the garden was delicious and a wonderful spot to enjoy the great selection on offer.

Review 18：Extremely friendly and competent stuff, excellently speaking English. Delicious and hearty breakfasts in the garden. Very clean, and everyday cleaned rooms. It was very close to the sea, and aslo to the market. For guests there was a gift in the room- champagne.

Review 22：The only thing that was disappointing was they charged us €10 per day to park our car on their premises. This I found harsh as we have never had to pay a hotel for parking. We stayed for 8 nights so it was expensive.

Review 24：The worst mattress we have ever slept on. The size of the room, the only toiletries in the bathroom was a shower cap. The paid parking, I found my car covered with pigeon droppings. The noise outside our ground floor room. I would not recommend it.

Review 36：We are a family of four, our children are 6 and 10 of age. We enjoyed the stay at Hotel Alexander very much! The room was cosy, the kids loved the bunk bed and the room was clean with a nice bath room. The staff was very helpful and friendly all the way through the stay, we had a welcome drink when we arrived and they helped us with directions and suggestions for dinner. The outside area was nice and had a fussball table and a little playground, nice for small children. It was amazing that we could sit outside and have our breakfast in the middle of october. All the way through the breakfast the staff asked us if they could help us with extra coffee etc, they made us feed very welcome. We can recommend this hotel!

Review 37：Extremely friendly staff, always their to help or make your stay enjoyable. Nice recommendations for restaurants. Middle of the center, so everything can be discovered by foot or bike. Breakfast in the garden in the middle of October :-) When we go back to San Remo, we would have no doubt of booking again at Alexander. We were really impressed.

Review 41：The hotel is a short walk from both the train station and the marina / beach, and they have free bikes on which you can ride up and down the beachfront bike path. The staff were extremely helpful with everything, and even helped us sort out the oddly-complicated train connections through to Nice.

Parking was free, but getting into the spot was like having to thread a needle. But if you're driving in Italy, you'd better be good. We were very, very pleased overall, loved San Remo too, and will definitely stay at the Alexander again when we return to this lovely city.

Great location in a bustling part of San Remo, an ideal location for staying close to great shops, food and entertainment. Much nicer than the "grander" part of san Remo near the Casino in my opinion Very charming european style breakfast served in the garden with very attentive staff Fantastic kids area with hoop, table soccer, swings and slide. Kids loved it and we stayed an extra night.
