Review 1：There was no breakfast even if we pay extra money for them.
Review 2：Location was excellent and also private pool with hot water was awesome experience. Pick up and drop facility was also provided if we give a call.

Review 4：Super nice - great location (not in town though but the owners (who speak perfect English) seem happy to ferry their guests to and from town when they can) - we had dinner there which was super tasty and the private onsen is just fantastic. the room was bigger than it looks in the pix. Also the owners recommended a place for dinner one night and booked us a table - really nice food. We tried to go back but it was closed! Definitely recommend this place.

Review 7：Our deepest appreciation to our host and his family for their warm and friendly hospitality.They were always ready to assist in any way and recommended the best restaurant in Shimoda.The hotel was perfect -set high on the cliff with fabulous views of the ocean -we enjoyed walking to the beach and town but best of all was relaxing in the private onsens with said fabulous views -heaven!
Review 8：If you get a chance to have dinner at the premises, do not miss it! It was a wonderful fusion of french and authentic japanese. The hotel is operated by a family. They go out of their way to help you find your way around. 4 nights went too quickly! There are some good hiking trails by the coast with spectacular scenery.

Review 10：The food was incredible, breakfast was the best we have had anywhere and dinner equally good. The family went out of their way to be of service, dropping us off and picking up from station or wherever we wanted to go. Private onsen was so relaxing.
Review 11：The special care the management took to make sure we had time for Onsen in the delightful open air spring was appreciated. We used the lounge to play board games and have a social time in the evening which was great. The views and breakfast were amazing.

Review 13：This hotel has an amazing romantic view of the ocean, especially from the onsen baths. Everything is well run/maintained. Overally excellent value for the price. Not only that, but the staff's dedication in making your stay an enjoyable experience truly impressed me. I have travelled around the world a fair bit but Mr Kojiro Takarada and his staff are the most helpful and caring I have met by far.

The hotel has a great Ocean view, every room gets 40 min of Private Hot Spring Bath with excellent view. The family, who runs hotel speaks perfect English and are very helpful, especially if you need some travelling tips. I would recommend this hotel if one considers a short stay, not to spend too much time at the hotel and experience Hot Spring Bath. We didn't eat dinner there, but breakfast was very good (even though more Western styke than Japanese).
