Review 1：It was all fab perhaps some kindling wood for fire but we loved this place..

Review 2：Family lovely really obliging gave us lift to and from restaurant. Breakfast was fantastic we loved home baked goods.Farm animals were charming and great shower.

Review 4：Very nice and quiet location close to beautiful beaches and interesting sights in the western part of the Algarve. Pleasant atmosphere due to its small size. The apartment is well equipped. Very good beds. Delicious breakfast. But what was most appreciated was the warm welcome and care of the owner couple Sofia and Alvaro! Hope to be able to return some time.

Review 5：We enjoyed a calm stay, especially the small number of villas with mixed friendly guests (varied from couples of all ages to families with teenagers to families with baby, from hitchhikers to surfers) were attractive to us. Great hosts, Alvaro and Sophia, made this a special stay. They take care about all the small details that make you feel at home. Also, they provide you with great information about perfect surfing spots, restaurants, excursions possible). Great, tasty breakfast, local products, however not too extended, but fully sufficient. Maybe good to know for allergic persons: friendly and calm animals (dogs, cats and chicken) are running freely on the property, which we enjoyed a lot, especially with kids.

Review 8：Great place. Friendly staff. A rural feel, with animals on site (which our young son loved). Excellent catering facilities in the apartments. Intimate feel, due to there being only a handful of rooms. Amazing beaches only a short drive away.

Review 9：We could only stay the one night as they were fully booked! :-( Couldnt seem to connect to the Internet via wifi in the room but could in the communal area.

Review 12：Everything. Our hosts Sofia and Alvaro are such lovely people, friendly and helpful and a pleasure to meet and converse with. The accommodation is top notch with attention paid to detail in design and with a view to the comfort of the guests. Really comfy bed. Beautiful garden grounds with well maintained clean and chlorine free swimming pool. Opportunity to explore and find out about the different breeds of free range chickens that they keep, including the latest chick. (Thank you Daniella - we wish you well with your studies and future career!) The family dogs were amiable and good to have around. Sofia was very helpful in giving us information (and maps) on beaches and places to visit and eat out in the surrounding area. The breakfast was delicious with cold meats, cheeses, platter of fruit and a little "sweetmeat" to round it off. An excellent, and leisurely start to the day.

Review 13：The owner, Alvaro, and his wife, Sophia, were so helpful, both in terms of looking after us and our donkey. He also took us to an excellent restaurant and collected us when we had finished our meal.

Review 14：This is truly a great place to spend some time with the family, or to have a couple of days away from everything. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with a lovely terrace. The animals were a highlight for the children - and us. The breakfast was delicious, just a shame we had to rush it to catch our flight.

Review 15：just a detail, i rent my bike with another company in algarve. The bike broke down, and Alvaro (the owner) lend me his own bike until mine gets fixed. Place is wonderful and everything was perfect.

Lady explicate us the Road to go to Lisboa, because it is a little outside of Village.. House are fantastic, kitchen beautiful and full equipment. Bath very nice... we was so satisfied. The Breakfast was better like in top restaurant, all was fresh.

Review 25：One of the most relaxing holidays I have had. Partly due to location, partly due to facilities and partly due to the property owners truly making it feel like a home away from home. Thoroughly recommended for couples or families alike wanting a relaxing break. Some of the best beaches in Europe are on your doorstep and if the mood takes you some of the best surfing as well. the few animals at Herdade Monte Do Sol were only a joy to be around (along with the other abundant wildlife) and did nothing to detract from an amazing stay :)

Review 30：The well maintained property is nicely set amongst trees with a westerly aspect overlooking the pool area. Our apartment had everything we needed, was spacious and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with local knowledge and recommendations. We were sorry to leave.

Review 32：Modern, well equipped big house, e.g. kitchen with all things needed, fireplace in the living room, outside a hammock is hanging on the terrass with view to pool and see, all rooms are nicely decorated. The area where the houses were built is very big and they have two dogs, three cats, horses, chicken, andandand. But the animals are quiet and did not disturb us. The breakfast is perfectly arranged and nothing is missing. Every day we got a plate with peeled and cuttet fruits and homemade portuguese cookies. But the very special thing about this hotel is not the hotel itself but the owners. A very nice cupple, Alvaro is a very outgoing extremly friendly and entertaining guy while his wife Sofia takes care of everything and everybody and is always worried that something is not 100% all right. They are so nice hosts that they make you feel not like a customer but like a real welcomed guest. We are quite sure that we will return to this wonderful place for one of the next vacations, and we highly recommend a stay there!!

Review 33：Absolutely perfect setting for a countryside break. The villas are of the highest standard, impeccably clean and very functional. We travelled with a 1-year old baby and we had a beautiful bed, bath and feeding chair ready waiting for her in the villa. The pool area is really well looked after and the breakfast is incredible with lots of choice. The animals on the premises are a huge plus for the smaller travelers! The host family was very helpful and keen to make our stay excellent. A car is needed in order to enjoy the stay to the maximum, which we did!

Review 50：The villa was lovely and Sofia and her husband were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were really great with a wide selection of foods on offer, I especially enjoyed the apple pastries. Our daughter loved the freedom to be able to run around and explore and visit the animals and play on the swing. It was a great base for the local beaches and the villa itself was comfortable enough to spend time in relaxing.

Review 59：here is a hotel which is unique and a pearl in the algarve, the hotel is located in a peaceful area not too far away from the beaches which you can reach by car easily in few minutes. alvaro and sofia are perfect host and could have not done more for us, the breakfast had been a dream and they gluten free option had been the best by far which i have seen on my travels. the villa itself has just a beautiful layout and the beds had been perfect for a restful sleep after a long day. all in all, from the location; the villa and the hosts this not just a hotel it is a home from home where you can recharge your batteries and forget about the hectic live stile.
