Reviews for Hibiscus Lodge Bed & Breakfast

Review 1:Nothing, all was perfect!

Review 2:Greatest hosts and great location! Robert and Adrienne were just the nicest people, we really enjoyed our short time there! The best were the handmade muffins in the morning for breakfast, delicious!!

Review 3:Wear insect repellant to avoid getting bitten whilst enjoying the veranda (but that goes for everywhere in North Queensland at this time of year)

Review 4:We had a lovely stay with rob and adrianne. Felt like a home away from home! Great location and breakfast with wallabies and a visit from a cassowary was just the icing on the cake.

Review 5:Having to leave the Hibiscus and return to Victoria.

Review 6:Robert & Adrienne who made our break away one of the best we have had. The hospitality together with the surrounding gardens and wildlife was extraordinary to say the least. One must also give a special mention to Peanut (Cassowary) who arrived on queue each and every morning seeking his breakfast.

Review 7:The cassowary and wallabies are the stars of the show! The accommodation is beautifully landscaped and the suites well appointed making my stay enjoyable and relaxing.

Review 8:We loved the freshly baked goods at the breakfast and the coffee. Many cute wallabies watched us having breakfast. The rooms were so comfortable and cosy. We just stayed one night, but I wish we would have stayed more.

Review 9:Is quite tricky to find, but worth finding!

Review 10:Really friendly and welcoming. Very generous with breakfast, great muffins! Very much enjoyed seeing the local wallabies. A shame we didn't stay longer to play croquet or visit the reef.

Review 11:You can't have a bad experience here.

Review 12:Excellent location and top host and hostess thrown in with an excellent breakfast watching the wallabies having their breakfast also. Now and then get a visit from a cassowary.

Review 13:A great place to stay near Wongaling Beach. Friendly welcoming owners, excellent facilities. Bonus was the cassowary visiting for breakfast and frightening away the wallabies. Perfect location for Water Taxi

Review 14:A great place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Peaceful location. Robert and Adrienne, the owners, we're very welcoming. A very nice balance of being helpful and giving you plenty of space. Will recommend to others.

Review 15:The property is beautifully presented and the gardens are a magnet for wildlife. Hibiscus lodge is minutes from arguably Queenslands best beach. The hosts are both friendly and helpful and just want you to enjoy your stay. We would be more than happy to stay again.

Review 16:nothing

Review 17:wonderful friendly hosts who did their utmost to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Beautiful tranquil setting where the wildlife came to visit whilst we had our breakfast. A lovely comfortable and well appointed room. Easy walking distance of the beach and restaurants.

Review 18:Not really a negative, more just advice to others! There are only a few restaurants and shops in local vicinity, so it's the sort of place where it's probably better to have a car to drive to nearby places.

Review 19:If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Beautiful setting, very close to beach and a few restaurants and shops.

Review 20:only the best experience

Review 21:Robert and Adrienne as perfect Hosts with tipps for our ongoing travel and happy hour every evening; the cosy Frangipani room with perfect linen and spacious bathroom; the lovely garden with pool to relax; the rainforest surrounding on the property; the Wallabies, Casuary and other animals visiting - not only for breakfast_ the homemade superb muffins every morning

Review 22:Nothing

Review 23:What can i say about this place, it is quite simple amazing in every way. Adrienne and Robert are the most amazing hosts and generally lovely people. They are so friendly and helpful and every evening they like to sit and catch up with you over a drink to chat through your day. The rooms are comfortable and clean and there is a lounge area for the guests to chill out with a fridge and tea / coffee facilities and filtered water. The breakfasts are awesome but what really makes this special is that every morning we were joined by wallabies and cassawarys in their gardens and we had the pleasure to watch them in their natural environment whilst eating our breakfast. I would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Mission Beach and should I return I would not hesitate to stay here again Thanks for a wonderful stay

Review 24:We can't really fault our stay other than trying to find it at night was a little challenging as it is in a residential area just away from the main tourist area.

Review 25:We loved our time at hibiscus lodge. Although a little tricky to find at first, we were pleased to discover this hidden gem. The hosts are the most kind and generous people and made us feel at home from the outset. They had plenty of tips and information about the local area and if you like wildlife, staying here is a must. We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a rare cassowari bird in the garden, and were joined for (an excellent) breakfast by some adorable wallabies. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the local area stunning.

Review 26:Nothing. Even the weather, which was not so nice, disturbed us.

Review 27:We liked everything there. Just the best two hosts we ever had on our hole journey trought australia and new zealand. Everything was perfect, the rooms are lovely and the view of the cassawary and the wallabis made our breakfast perfect. If you are in mission beach we advise you to stay there. You will get some nice tips from Robert and Adrienne. They are both such so frindly and make you feel the perfect stay. Thank you both again. Michael and Laura

Review 28:Apparently restaurants are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays; something to keep in mind.

Review 29:Nothing was too much it seemed. A warm welcome, great breakfast, nice glass of wine on the veranda, and very good recommendations for sightseeing.

Review 30:Visiting cassowaries and wallabies Friendly New Zealand hosts Chat over beer in the evening Large tropical garden Beautiful building Warm swimming pool

Review 31:Having to leave so soon.

Review 32:The welcome we received from our hosts. Their hospitality, the welcome drink was a lovely gesture and breakfast was excellent. The abundance of wildlife in the garden. Lovely swimming pool which was a welcome relief from the heat.

Review 33:They had cassowaries in their backyard. They had beautiful rooms. They had great ideas of where to visit and what to do. Go on the taxi for 3 hours to Dunk Island. It was a great history lesson and great boat ride. Turtles swim off the pier in town in the afternoon.

Review 34:Perfect stay at Mission Beach. My wife loved the animals visible at breakfast in the garden. Feeding wallabies :) (small kangaroo) The room is cute, clean and quiet. Thank you Robert and Adrienne for the perfect stay and the uncountable tips. The Beach and the shops are nearby, also some restaurants. If you want to go to the center of mission beach, better take the car. We liked the personal atmosphere during our stay at your lovely home and wish you all the best

Review 35:Everything was perfect

Review 36:The situation, ambience, facilities, drink with welcoming hosts, introductions to other guests. Cassowaries and Wallabies joined us for breakfast.

Review 37:I hardly dare to add any negative comment for this fantastic accomodation, yet the only improvement I can think of might be some matrasses on the pool chairs...

Review 38:All previous positive comments are a 100% true!! We were treated as valued guests & felt pampered all the time; to fully appreciate the ambiance try to stay at least for 2 nights.
