Reviews for Amazigh Design Hostel
Review 1:Great Staff Awesome rooms (clean, big and great design) Nice Roof terrace You can order your breakfast with personal wishes Very Clean Perfect for your surf trip
Review 2:Staff are not portuguese speakers which i think should be a basic requirement And tottaly put me off from a next visit.. they were friendly and polite though. Kitchen was not very clean/maintained.
Review 3:design was nice
Review 4:A really comfortable and fuctional design. Often hotels and guest houses use decor which is either too personal to a particular taste or has simply has furnishing which looks shabby or old fashioned- This place does not alienate the visitor because it´s decor is clean and simple. The communal kitchen/lounge makes it easy to feel at home and relaxed. This is a new "breed" or hybrid of hotel/hostel and it works superbly.
Review 5:The rooms are poorly soundproofed.
Review 6:The Check-in was uncomplicated, so was the Check-out. Good breakfast and the possiblity to store your own food in the fridge. We enjoyed the large rain shower.
Review 7:WiFi only worked in the tiny common room downstairs and not even there steadily which was dissapointing! Rooms are very sparsely furnished.
Review 8:Hostel is in a great location, close to the nicest beaches in Portugal (reachable by car). The roof top of the hostel has a beautiful view. Aljezur is a small, sleepy town, with only a few restaurants (all delicious) and cafes (very good and cheap for breakfast) which are, however, randomly closed sometimes.
Review 9:WiFi fine in communal areas but no reception in my room.
Review 10:Good place to stay whilst walking in the area. Great location close to bus stop. Big supermarket nearby for self-caterers. Friendly & helpful staff.Fantastic shower!
Review 11:- If you don't have a car, be ready to hitch hike to get to the beaches. - The wi-fi works on and off. - If you arrive on a sunday, there's no public transport to Aljezur, you will need a taxi (40 Eur).
Review 12:The hostel itself is really nice, the staff is chilled and the small town of Aljezur is quite nice, so if you're in the mood for peace and quite, that's the right place.
Review 13:Noisy Bit far from the beach if you do not have a car Could have more bikes available
Review 14:Friendly and helpful staff and guests Close to the only club of the village and perfect location within the village Comfortable rooms, including good showers Nice lounge Rooftop terrace Chilled atmosphere
Review 15:Perfect if you are walking the fisherman a walk or historic route. Very friendly and helpful staff. This is a hostel so not super quiet but we loved chatting with the other guests.
Review 16:It's really not the hostel's fault, but the noise outside coming from the bar and the crowd in and around it is way too loud and kept us from sleeping. Don't forget to take a few ear plugs, they'll come in handy.
Review 17:The staff is wonderful, the facilities are terrific and very creatively built, the energy is awesome! There were a couple details I enjoyed the most, such as the shower and the comfort of the beds and pillows.
Review 18:Nothing i can think of.
Review 19:Great staff. Easy to find location. Interesting design, nice and interestong people to be met there. Great to have balcony to go out and relax.
Review 20:The rooms were nice but the level of noise was unbelievable... With music and loud shouting all night long until 3am. Which isn't good at all when you're hiking and want to get up at 6am to avoid the heat...
Review 21:Great location in the village centre. Nicely built into the cliff
Review 22:Like - Closeness to restuarant, simple, friendly, central. My Wife was so tired after 32k walk She could only manage to walk the 20 feet to the local restiuarant (there are others)
Review 23:My stay was perfect ! I was there only for one night for relaxing, and it was very nice ! One of the staff members even showed me arround and brought me to the beach. Thank you again !
Review 24:A bit of mould in one spot on the ceiling, but otherwise impeccable.
Review 25:As good as a hostel gets. We had nice room in the top of the building with a private bathroom. Very nice minimal-design and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 26:The W-Lan did not always work up in the 4th floor. When I left the window open, there was some noise from the seagulls (like probably everywhere in Porto), and once, a cat came into the room (they wander on the rooftops).
Review 27:Great place, nice staff! I had a room in the 4th floor, where it was not too noisy. The breakfast is served from 8.15am. When I told them that I had to leave early, they prepared me some food in advance.
Review 28:The wifi was not working in the rooms on the second floor, everywhere else was good.
Review 29:Very nice friendly people, always helping with everything Nice and clean and well working hostel Cozy place
Review 30:people talking loudly by the bedrooms well past midnight... enjoyment might vary with social skills of fellow travellers
Review 31:well located, relaxed atmosphere
Review 32:The house seemed run down. Bad design of the stairs that are made out of steal and make a lot of noise at night when people move. Our room and bathroom was very bad (or not at all) cleaned.
Review 33:Wifi doesn't arrive well to the second floor but it works perfectly on the common areas
Review 34:Very nice staff and location, close to some of the main surf beaches in the zone
Review 35:The staff is super nice. We booked a private room and was very happy. The facilities are very good, but not luxuryous. The location of the hostel in Aljezur is great, but Aljezur in it's own is just a small town. You should have a car to be able to drive to the different beaches in the region.
Review 36:* The payment with card was not avalaible.
Review 37:Very good location in a clean and comfortable hostle. We enjoyed our stay there very much!
Review 38:Nothing, all was great
Review 39:A very nice cosy place to enjoy the hiking path s around and surf beaches.
Review 40:No storage room to leave luggage
Review 41:Location close to bus station, private bathroom, bedside lamp
Review 42:The kitchen could be kept cleaner. Aljezur does not really have much to offer.
Review 43:Very friendly and helpfull staff.
Review 44:-
Review 45:modern and lovely people
Review 46:You can sleep well here. You don't have a lot of noise like in big cities.
Review 47:Great location (far from the beach but it is easy to get a ride at the hostel). Clean rooms with lots of space.
Review 48:a bit noisy in the morning due to the inside stairs
Review 49:Location, staff and room confort
Review 50:The friendly helpful staff
Review 51:It proved to be an ideal base and starting off point for donkey trekking with Burros and Artes on the Vincentia walking trail.
Review 52:The noisy stairs Dirty floors and tiles Broken window,
Review 53:Spacious room Very nice shower Ideal location for stopover
Review 54:Very nice and friendly staff. We loved the design of the hostel (beautiful portuguees tiles). The bathroom/shower was superdelux.

Review 56:very friendly staff, helpful, open minded

Review 60:The wifi does not work on the rooms
Review 61:Clean, modern and great location.
Review 62:Our room orientation was towards main square and night club, which made sleeping difficult.
Review 63:Clean and cosy place. Friendly staff.
Review 64:No WiFi in the rooms and lots of noise from bar outside.
Review 65:Staff, layout and security
Review 66:No wifi in room
Review 67:The locatio , staff , infrastructure
Review 68:breakfast not really worth that money
Review 69:very friendly staff, good location
Review 70:noise in the room form the ground floor and stairs. ear-plugs recommended. poor wi-fi.
Review 71:very nice design of the building. well-organized kitchen. comfortable beds. nice surrounding (castle, 30 min. biking to the beach).
Review 72:Breakfast was cheap but really simple, the staff advices you to buy your own. The metal stairs makes a lot of noice.
Review 73:Friendly and helpfull staff, clean bathroom with a good shower and a good bed.
Review 74:Room was very small, beds consisted of wooden plank with thin matress, screws stuck out so that they caught your legs and clothes trying to squeeze trough the small space between the bed and wall (which one had to to get to the shower), there was sand all over the bedplank and matress, hairs in the small shower, just one chair and no closet for clothes. In short, not bad for a hostel, but I have seen far better double rooms in other hostels. The rooftop terrace is great but is not equipped wit chairs and tables, just some very (m)old deckchairs, which is a pity
Review 75:good location, friendly staff, free wifi, simple but fine breakfast option, nice common area downstairs and rooftop terrace has a nice view
Review 76:wifi didnt work well on the second floor, but wasnt too bad since it worked on the first 2 floors
Review 77:very friendly and helpful staff clean rooms and well equiped. i would def come back. thx for the good stay rita an peter
Review 78:Too noisy at night. Too expensive for a room without any facilities, like TV, shampoo, shower gel, breakfast. We paid 79€/night for double room.

Review 81:The manager,Bernardo was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable on the local area, restaurants to eat at etc.Breakfast was great, the room very comfortable and the best shower in our travels.Well done-one of the best hostels we have stayed in,with a relaxing vibe.
Review 82:During the whole night there were people chatting loudly, like until 6.00 a.m. and the staff did not do anything about it.
Review 83:It's rather central, the staff is friendly, the bed was comfortable.
Review 84:The bathroom wasn't the cleanest it could be upon arrival.Everything else was fine.
Review 85:The location is perfect to explore the area and close to get a bite toeat or have something to drink. It is within driving distance from thearea beaches.Kitchen is available and internet is very strong. The terrace on the roof is excellent. Public parking is available in the area with no problem. Staff is very nice.

Review 95:Drunk guests making noise during the night
Review 96:Clean and comfort.
Review 97:Very friendly staff, clean and minimalist room design
Review 98:Not worth paying € 3.5 per person for breakfast, since breakfast is notgood enough to justify the value
