Reviews for Misión Campeche América Centro Histórico
Review 1:- Partially no hot water - feels dated, room was functional and clean, but not cosy
Review 2:Great location, just a few blocks from the main plaza. Dining street just around the corner. Reliable Internet. Because of the location, a good choice for a few days, but don't expect anything fancy.
Review 3:- parking is located (approx. 8 mins walk). There was however dedicated parking space in front of the hotel, where we could leave our car for 10-15 mins, to unload our bags and to check-in. - it was extremely loud until midnight. Very loud music was coming probably from a bar downstairs. Take ear plugs!
Review 4:- free parking - beatifful colonial architecture -good location at the very center of the old town (approx. 200 metres from main square)
Review 5:After a number of months travelling in Southern and Central American this hotel has without doubt the rudest reception I've encountered when checking in (evening arrival). Greeted by a lady at the front desk whose name tag read simply "Reception". Also piped Muzak commenced at 6:30am echoing around the entire colonial building until 11:00pm.
Review 6:Location is convenient and the room was very clean.
Review 7:- guests are invited to sleeep above a bar that stops playing music at 2am. very noisy, impossible to sleep. - no breakfast included (hotel description at booking is not clear) - shower sink was not working, swimming pool while showering.
Review 8:well located in the old city.
Review 9:Staff was not knowledgable, even about the city of Campeche itself, though polite. The wifi did not work. Rooms are okay for a night, but prison like and not very comfortable. Overall a passable hotel, not terrible, but not great either.
Review 10:Location is excellent, right in the historical center.
Review 11:No elevator (climbing the stairs with the suitcase). Wifi was not working on the day we've arrived, as well as the next morning electricity went completely off. We've got a candle :)
Review 12:Fine place, looks like an old maison with an internal patio. Close to the main square and a street with restaurants and cafes. Fair size of the room and the bed.
Review 13:Parking is a couple of blocks away. They have a restaurant that is very noisy right next to it. Thr rooms are smelly and the aircoditioning noisy.
Review 14:The hotel has an excelent location, right next to the main sqare.
Review 15:Checking took almost an hour. The staff was not very capable. Breakfast was included in the price, but nobody seemed to know or understand.
Review 16:The hotel is located in the historical centre of Campeche. The hotel itself is also a very nice old building. Rooms are very basic, but clean.
Review 17:Beautiful hotel
Review 18:directly in the center of the old city, you might find everything just next to this place. an old Town full of Art and history with a lot of good restaurants and bars. the hotel staff ist very helpful with everything. it´s worth it´s price. we would shurely visit this place again if back in campeche.
Review 19:Although, it was not a very big deal for us, the parking lot was locked the day we were leaving. We had to wait about an hour for the attendant to arrive. The hotel staff was super accommodating in helping us find the person in charge to get our car and stayed with us the entire time.
Review 20:The location is beautiful in centro historico Campeche! You can see the history within the hotel and the town! The staff was helpful and extremely professional! Would stay again...
Review 21:The hotel is located near the main square, so very convenient to visit the city. However I was assigned a room in which the air conditioner was old and very noisy and I had to shut if off to sleep. That was not a 3 star-hotel standard room.
Review 22:Hotel had nice old-fashioned windows but you heard everything from outside.
Review 23:Very close to city center, in the heart of city night life. Helpful staff, but they didnt know English at all. Hotel had nice colonial style with nice atrium in the middle, where they served breakfast.
Review 24:Quite expensive for what you get. Very loud ac. Wifi-connection onlyposible in/near the lobby. The room I booked via Booking was notavailable so I had to take a more expensive one. They absolutelydidn't want to give me any discount, which I thought was incorrectas they where the ones who made a mistake.
Review 25:Very central location, friendly people at reception, clean, nicecourtyard
Review 26:The map on booking.com shows wrong area! We looked in absolutely wrongpart of the town, they should really described it better. Front desk didnot speak any English.
Review 27:Close to the city centre on budget.
Review 28:Room is tiny, there is no window (there is but the airconditionning is in it), wifi only works at reception. The worst is that they didn't let us have the rate we had secured with booking. We paid much more than what we booked. We asked them to book a taxi and they said yes. We waited and after a while I asked them if they had done it. The woman said she forgot. She didn't apologize.
Review 29:Situation (but campeche is small so any hotel is wel located)
Review 30:Very simple interiors and room decoration We stayed in a balcony without glass windows (just wood curtains) and it was extremely noisy. We decided to move to another hotel after one night
Review 31:Location only, right in the centre of Campeche.
Review 32:A few mosquitoes in the room. No other complaints.
Review 33:Room serviced and cleaned daily. Free water and coffee provided. Very comfortable beds with fan & a/c. Off the main road but quiet for sleeping. A nice pool to cool off in at the end of the day.
Review 34:there were 2 computers for internet access, of which one was broken and the other had a very slow connection, often not working at all. The room was fine, but a bit expensive given the basic facilities in the room. Also, in the reservation it was specified that a bathtub was available, but it was not
Review 35:excellent location, nice colonial building
Review 36:Campeche can be very hot so a pool would be great. Sad that Campeche has no (sand)beach. Room facilities were a bit overrated, we didnt have a hairdryer nor bath, but ok no big deal.
Review 37:Nice and clean hotel only two blocks from the main square and seaside.
Review 38:The staff was uninterested and as my Spanish is basic whenever I askedto repeat I go a shrug and Ok . Never knowing what the question what thequestion was in the firstplace .
Review 39:The hotel is very well located , a block from the Zocalo and not farfrom the Malecon . The courtyard is lovely , the building itself also .The room was spacious and had three beds .
Review 40:My 3-day reservation was to include a 'buffet breakfast each day', butnone was included, only a breakfast menu containing prices. There is noelevator so you need to carry your luggage up to your room. WiFi was notaccessible in my air-conditioned room #110, only in the non-air-conditioned public spaces. The hotel contains much marble and hardsurfaces which echoed all sound into my room, and it was often so noisyup until nearly midnight that I had to use earplugs to try to sleep. Thehotel lost power my last night there around midnight and it was notrestored till around 9:00 am next morning so I had no ac my last night. The room was large but had an institutional feel to it, no charm. For$58/night, I was not impressed but I was disappointed.
Review 41:Hotel America Centro is in an historic building in the historic districtof Campeche. A good location.
Review 42:Parking about 400 metres from hotel. Drop off and pick up not easy as inbusy street.
Review 43:Central location very good near main Plaza. Staff friendly and helpful.Pleasant courtyard for breakfast. Free Internet. Free parking.
Review 44:The staff did not give us much information. The room was small and witha small inner window. The bed was very small. The breakfast was lacking.Only yogurt and fruit, or you could order the a bigger breakfast.....paying
Review 45:The hotel has a perfect location for exploring the city. It looks verynice, in perfect colonial style. With a central courtyard where you canhave breakfast. We stayed for one night.
Review 46:This a great, little hotel in a beautiful colonial building. Cleanrooms, amiable staff. Life happens right outside the door, only a fewsteps to the main plaza, the location cannot be beat.
Review 47:The room was a bit noisy as the street is busy.
Review 48:The location is perfect for visiting the city. The hotel is tipycal andthe room was clean and confortable.
Review 49:Ir is a big cantina me and my family did not sleep a minute very unfortunately night
