The room was delightful and great care had been taken with the decor.Why pay so much more to stay in the centre when you can enjoy the comfort of this hotel.

We accidentally made reservations to the wrong dates and the owner was so kind and she helped us arrange another nearby place to stay for one night. After one night we came back to Villa Gardenia to complete our stay in Venice and found it to be a real gem - charming, well located and very clean. One of the best hotels we stayed in!!!

Review 22：We had a very pleasant stay in this villa. we highly recommend it. The owner was delightfull. She spoke english, was very concerned about her guest. I asked for a gluten and lactose free breakfast, so she made a special corner with all sorts of gluten free & lactose free options. Free and secure parking space and she even parked our car. Nice clean room with air conditioning and small mini bar. The train station is a few steps from the villa and within 10 min you arrive in the centre of Venice.

Review 24：The builing is so obsolete, both interior and exterior. We can hardly understand the previous reviews and high rate of the hotel. The pictures on booking.com are obviously taken 30 years ago or so. Everything is old and smells like old. Full of mosquitos .

Review 30：Is the perfect place to stay for a short period in Venice if you arrive by car. The house is really well located in Marghera, 100 mts from the Mestre train station, which is 10 minutes by train from Santa Lucia station in Venice. It has a private parking, so if you go with car is perfect to leave your things there completely safe. The owner, is a woman who is in all the details and explain you what you need to go to Venice. She also speaks English if you don't speak Italian. The house is decorated in an old style, everything really well maintained and really cosy. The room has everything what you need: good mattress, good pillows, fridge, airco, toilette with shower and the towels are good. The breakfast is quite complete. Also different options of tea are available.

Great wifi in the room. But the best of all was the landlady. She went to so much trouble to give me the best advice on how to get into and around Venice and the Islands. Got to Burano very quickly by her unusual instructions rather than on a slow boat to China that stopped about ten times around Murano.

Using the train/bus to get in/out of central Venice can be time-consuming and a hassle. However, this is the perfect location for doing so...the easiest access you can get outside of central Venice.

Lorenza is a lovely hostess who provided information about transportation into Venice and made sure I had my three servings of expresso every morning at breakfast. The room was small but charming with a small refrigerator. The rooms are in an old and well kept up villa in Maghera, which is a quick walk to the Mestre train station where trains run frequently for a short trip into Venice. We also wanted to take a day trip to Trieste, two hours by train, so it was very convenient to be so close to the train station. The breakfast is served in a spacious dining room with a decent choice of cheeses, meats, crackers, etc., but after the first breakfast, only packaged cheeses were served instead of fresh slices of cheese. Overall,this is a very good value for those who do not necessarily want to stay right in Venice proper.

Review 61：This was the most perfect place to be, From the moment you walk in the door you are made to feel like royalty. the couple that own this place are the most delightful couple. Breakfast was amazing every morning, The train is a block away and the bus stop is in front of the house. takes about 10-15 minutes to be in Venice or at the water taxies, If I return to Venice I will stay the same place. A beautiful home and was so lucky to have them open it up to the outside world. They were so helpful giving direction, telling great places to eat, there was nothing I would change. The room is convenient, high-end style and equipment, sufficient facilities and amenities. It is pleasant to meet that level of service in just two-stars rated hotel. At the morning we have had an adorable continental breakfast. The really great thing: they kindly permit leave the luggage and a car after the check-out - that is utterly convenient! We had an opportunity to spend another day in Venice effortless. There is a bus stop nearby but pay attention - the buses are heavily loaded. That is pretty short trip however not a pleasant one. You could opt catch a train - the station is in walk distance out there.
