Reviews for Camping Village Jolly
Review 1:The room was so cold (it's winter) and the heater wasn't hot enough to heat the room properly. Maybe it will be nice in summer.
Review 2:Easy access & good facilities for a camp site
Review 3:Rooms can be cold, luckily there is a heater. Shuttle service to Venice is provided, but it costs €5 per trip and it doesn't run very late. Received only one towell for the two us and could perhaps supply more blankets. Room was very small but adequate enough.
Review 4:The facilities are well equipped including a place to do your washing (at 4€ plus 4€ to dry) The staff are knowledgeable and helpful but are not always very friendly. Not too far from bus stop (costs €1.50 per one-way trip) and Venice Mestre train station (2km). Good restaurant, had a fantastic new-years party!!
Review 5:It must to be nice in summer but definitely not in winter. The accomodation has two bed rooms and a dinning area but it only has one heater in the dinnig room, plus it was not strong enough. The room temp was around 10~12 degree even though I turned it on all night
Review 6:In winter season max. Temp. Of water approx +30°c from pipes, forsomeone maybe not enough, especially showering.
Review 7:Taken with discount, so for incredible low price really worthymobilehouse with good access to venezia. Air conditioner and blanketsare enough to be comfortable in december even.
Review 8:Broken heating in the room, in december.. very small room, but it's camp so it's quite obvious anyway..
Review 9:Great localization, nice, polite and helpfull personel, clean room Restaurant in the area
Review 10:The chalets can be cold during the winter but the heaters worked well to warm it up.
Review 11:Great value for money with easy access by bus to Venice, staff were friendly and helpful
Review 12:직원들이 불친절하고, 셔틀시간이 정해져 있어서 불편하고, 숙소는 좁고 춥고 청결하지 않았습니다. Unfriendly staffs. Inconvinient transportation to the city center. Narrow, cold, not clean rooms. Expensive breakfast compared to other camping sites.
Review 13:To buy things we depend on the store inside the village, which was closed. Charges in restaurant were also on high side, which can be reduced a bit. To go to center of Venice one has to go by bus. Bus stop is almost 1 km. It is hard to find bus tickets especially in the afternoon as many Tabachii are closed. I suggest if bus tickets can be provided at reception, it would be great help. In Florence hotel reception was selling bus ticket (1.20) for 1.50. People don't mind paying 30 cents extra for such facility.
Review 14:Excellent. full value for money. I have one suggestion, if bus tickets can be provided at reception the reception, it would be great help.
Review 15:thought there is fee shuttle to Venice but it wasn't. has to walk about 1.2 km to take a public bus to Venice. it will also good if there provide a floor towel in he room.
Review 16:the bungalow room was great. parking is very convenient. less than 30 min to Venice by bus A6. quiet at night. overall satisfied. will recommend to others.
Review 17:Bed mattress could do with a clean. Shower lacked hot water annoying in Oct when it's colder.
Review 18:Cheap place to stay, friendly staff easy to get to Venice.
Review 19:Store was out of some products and didn't get shipments when they expected them.
Review 20:Great setup for families...separate washrooms, comfortable beds...kitchenettes!
Review 21:It's very clean here. The room although not very big,all of necessary things include in the room. And even though it's a little far to Venice, there have shuttle bus to take,it's very conveniencce,we just need to spend 20mins to there or to go back.
Review 22:Shouldn't complain really as its so cheap, but the cabins are damp and very basic. We were right next to the motorway and you can hear the neighbours very clearly.
Review 23:Super cheap accomodation. Easy cheap bus trip to Venice. Plenty of amenities on site.
Review 24:you have to walk two kilometers as the public bus to reach the site, and if we take the bus to the hotel, drop you off 2 km you have to walk to get to Venice. the hotel is very claustrophobic, cold, and very pedantic receptionists
Review 25:Wifi only work near reception. There's no sofa or chair in the reception so we have to sit outside in chill and cold weather just to use wifi. No cafeteria or table to eat, they won't let you eat at the restaurant. Hot water ran out fast, the mobile home can be pretty cold at night.
Review 26:Cheap and nice place to stay near Venice. Nice community, close to market and bus.
Review 27:Kitchen facilities existed but lacked fundamental things like a corkscrew or a can opener.
Review 28:Jolly village is exactly what it says it is... A discount resort that is clean and functional. If you have lots of money and expect 5 star treatment, this is not the place for you. Young families and student travelers will love the convenient shuttle and social atmosphere. Only complaint was the room kitchens were poorly equipped and such items as dish towels and dish soap were not included at all.
Review 29:1. Our heating wasn't working and the staff fixed it quickly2. Could have more frequent shuttle buses to and from Venice
Review 30:1. Great vfm considering accommodation in Venice is so expensive2. Free parking - we drove there and took the bus from Maghera to Venice. TIP: BUY A RETURN BUS TICKET AT THE KIOSK ACROSS THE RD FROM THE MAGHERA BUS STOP FOR 3 EUROS - HALF THE PRICE OF BUYING ON THE BUS! 3. Friendly staff happy to give advice
Review 31:AC not working (they kindly provided a portable heater).
Review 32:Free parking and wifi. Good wifi(around 2mbps up and down), at least close to the entry when we stayed. Close enough to venice. Good option if traveling by car. Great swimming pool for summer.
Review 33:It's good value for money. Place is clean. Location is on the main land. But they run a shuttle to island at reasonable rates. Works out to be much cheaper than staying at the island. It has good connectivity by bus too. Would recommend it highly.
Review 34:The window can be open from outside, so it's not really safe. The sink in the bathroom clot. No kitchen
Review 35:Basic room with a bathroom. Shuttle service is good and always on time. But make sure you book in advanced. It's always fully booked.
Review 36:There was a little problem with using coditioner, but thanks girls on reception - it was solved. There is a quest - to get to the hostel at night. And wi-fi connection was of bad quality
Review 37:The territory is big and very cosy. There is cafe with good breakfasts and shuttle-bus to Venice. Personal is very friendly and understanding.
Review 38:Great links to Venice by camp bus or local bus. Mobile home was a lot better than we expected a mobile to be. Great shower spacious room. Nothing to do with the camp but be careful if you use the public bus as its twice the price if you buy your ticket from the driver, it jumps from €1.50 to €3 one way. You need to find a tabac or a parking meter we were told later. Breakfast was €6.50 and buffet style, it was worth it but you need to be hungry else its expensive for cereal and coffee. We would book to stay here again, Thank you for doing a great Job Camping Jolly.
Review 39:thera is a lack of information to the destination. I got lost on the way to the location from the train station. google maps can not be relied on since the bus stop san antonio.
Review 40:the place and the nuance
Review 41:end of season, no plates, no dishes in the kitchen, but staff delivered it later no mops
Review 42:the people in the reception were very nice, gave us many info, close to Venice by bus no. 6 clean towels and bad linen
Review 43:The lack of information about the facilities in the mobile home. The lack of self-catering equipment. The noise from the adjoining motorways.
Review 44:The shuttle bus service.
Review 45:the room was very cold, once the heating was turned on it was very stale air so it couldn't be left on for to long without getting a sore throat.
Review 46:the beds were very comfortable and showers were hot .
Review 47:A little bit far away from the station point. But the distances is ok for us, around 10-15min to bus stop and around 30min to main railway station. Emotional water temperature, by the way is cool enough and hot enough. No wifi in our room.
Review 48:Nice camping site. Everythings is good!
Review 49:The customer service desk was also where people were checking in an out and there was constantly a lot of people checking in and out so if you needed to go buy a shuttle ticket or ask a question we had a long wait on our hands. We also ended up with a few bites .. we think from mosquitoes, although we did hear a girl complaining to staff about being bite multiple times from bed bugs which if true is pretty horrific.
Review 50:The shuttle to and from Venice was great, the cabin was also nice and cosy.
Review 51:No screens on bathroom windows and the AC/heat did not work and or was complex to operate.
Review 52:Options for accommodations, room had safety deposit box, and proximity and easy access to Venice. The staff was so very friendly and helpful.
Review 53:Far away from the nearest public transportation stop. Approx. 18 min. walking distance. They have a shuttle bus but staff failed to offer a fixed hourly timetable.
Review 54:It was clean. Convenient, I could spend a whole day there. There was everything you need to isolate yourself from this world for a while. Affordable grocery shop, restaurant and bar. Really enjoyable
Review 55:It's quite far out and hard to get to if you're not using the shuttle bus. Supermarket is closed for a period of time through the day.
Review 56:This camp site was fantastic! The chalet room was amazing with a comfy bed and a great shower room and lots of space. Wifi was strong even though we where at the back of the site. Staff in reception were friendly and helpful. Food in the Ciao Bella was delicious along with the cocktails. At night it turned into a night club which was fun to meet new people! Supermarket was handy when it was open. We made good use of the shuttle bus to and from Venice.
Review 57:The campsite is so far away from Venice. food in restaurant was awful and no cooking facilities in mobile home and was freezing with condensation and no space. Was given one roll of toilet roll and had to buy it for the rest of the holiday. Did not once come to clean within the 5 days.
Review 58:shuttle bus was good and frequent
Review 59:We had to pay for extra towels and no one informed us the bungalow would not be cleaned any time during our stay. The restaurant is very understaffed.
Review 60:The bungalow was clean. For the price the location is good, it is easy to take the public bus into Venice. The food at the restaurant was good and reasonably priced.
Review 61:Que is too long to check in all the time. it took more than 30 minutes to check in.
Review 62:I liked the atmosphere the most and the set up. things are very convenient around it. and shuttle service to trochetto is really value for money.
Review 63:Our room was quite cold. Not much variety in the little supermarket.
Review 64:Good basic accommodation that was far better than expected for the price. There is an hourly bus service into Venice that gets busy so best to book seats in advance. All you can eat breakfast with lots of choice at 6 euros each and reasonable bar prices. Too cold to use swimming pool during our stay but excellent pool area none the less.
Review 65:Blankets were not done. No utensils available, Need to go reception and pay deposit.
Review 66:Value for money. Very well organised. Shuttle bus to Venice. Very close to shopping mall which has coop
Review 67:The campsite was far fairly remote and hard to get to if you didn't use one of thw campsites shuttle buses. After getting off a local bus in the closest town, we had a good 15/20 minute walk which is not ideal with heavy bags amd it is quite hard to find through all the different streets.
Review 68:The campsite was really great money for what you het. We stayed in a mobile home and whilst it was small, it was more than sufficient for a couple of nights and we were surprised to find we had a shower! The beds were comfy and it was great to be able to have access to sunbeds and a large swimming pool. We had no trouble at all with noise and the cocktails avaliable from the bar were great!
Review 69:a brush in the room would be great, as it was raining and the floor was a mess because of the shoes and leaves.
Review 70:Really nice place, different and really interesting accommodation proposal! Everything that I asked the staff were promptly there to help me, even when I asked to have a look in the other type is bungalow. Would stay there again! I wish they had in other countries too.
Review 71:I stayed for 3 weeks and my room was only cleaned and sheets change1 time Surfing 3 weeks. Employes where lasy and ruud. I asked for them to do it at least every week but they don't .
Review 72:It is quite far from the bus station (actv). I suggest a better map to explain how to arrive to camping from airport and also from venice.
Review 73:We had a double room with 2 bathrooms and a small kitchen, clean. The personnel was kind. The camping has his own supermarket, pool & restaurant (good food) and also you can take a bus from camping to venice with a good schedule.
Review 74:Friendly staff at reception. Good conection with the center of Venice, very good organized with the shuttle which drives you from the Camping till Venice. Nice bar in the Camping!
Review 75:We stalled in 2 different cabins one of which was adequate and the other was not. The bed my son slept in kept falling apart. Some staff were out right rude and others were awesome!
Review 76:The cost was the best value. Some staff were friendly and helpful others were just outright rude!
Review 77:Broken shower. Little space. Uncomfortable beds. Little bit loud because camping is very close to highway.
Review 78:Good for 1-2 nights and sightseeing Venice. Good transfer to venice for 3,50EUR round trip (you have to book place at the bus earlier). Supermarket at camping where you can buy anything you need. Close to Marghera where you can eat really good pizza. Free bedclothes and towels.
Review 79:Poor signposting for guests arriving by car. It took us over an hour to ind the place, as we had to negotiate a big roundabout that had no indication where to turn off to find the place.
Review 80:Far away from everything. Allow 20-30 min just to walk to bus stop. If you buy tickets on a station is cheaper than transportation offered by the camping, but you have to walk to the bus stop.
Review 81:Rooms are clean and functional. Camping facilities help to ameliorate the effects of bad location (i. e. mini market inside camping). Good value for money.
Review 82:Location is juat beside the highway so... Practically impossible to sleep at night. Ask for a room far from highway. Also the humidity level is veeery high (bad smell)
Review 83:Price
Review 84:Bungalows that near the motorway is really to much noisy, may be they need to install a soundwall between camping and road...
Review 85:Swimming pool is 1,20m, Ciao Bella bar and restaurant is budget friendly but beer is expensive
Review 86:Well there is lot of things to say. 1. Hot water not working properly 2. Toilet sit was broken. 3. Mosquito Isnide. . 4. Bed and mattress pillow very poor quality. 5. Wifi is very bad connection. 6. Staff member don't understand English enough.
Review 87:Holiday Camp is nice inside.lots of tree house chalet swimming pool restaurants mini super market.
Review 88:Camping is set next to the main road so if you unlucky enough to get mobile home next to it and you light sleeper you better take ear plugs. As well as be aware who your neighbours are mine for one night were newly wed couple...I felt like on rocking boat and had to escape for the night. You can hear almost everything and as with every mobile home they moving with each of your heavier step...but this is not downfall of the camping site but all twin mobile homes you'll ever stay.
Review 89:This place is definitely on my list to come back to. 2 swimming pools, 2 hot tubs, pool table, dj when enough people to have little party, little convenient store (with good prices...can save you little fortune), washing/drying facilities (you can purchase single sods in the shop), transfer to Venice (20 minutes but book before hand they filling up quickly)... plenty of greenery and much more...My mobile home had little bench to sit outside which help me integrate with the neighbours (as I was travelling on my own...All in all good experience.
Review 90:The property is a bit far from Venice. It takes about 15 minutes with the shuttle from the property until the people mover, a few minutes with the people mover and you are dropped near the Santa Lucia train station in Venice. Then to reach San Marco for example you need walk some 20-30 minutes or take a vaporetto. This is not so exhausting, but be careful not to miss the last shuttle to the property at 11PM from the people mover station! The mobile home was a it damp inside and smelled likewise. Needs more ventilation.
Review 91:Me and my partner stayed for two nights in a mobile home. In the end we regretted not staying much, at least to enjoy relaxing in the jacuzzi and pool! Even though it's far from Venice, the property had an advantage of being calm and relaxing in general. The mobile home was small but comfortable. The internet connection was good everywhere. There's an AC too but we didn't need to use it. There's a nice restaurant near the pool that serves great open buffet breakfast for 6,5 euros. There are parties organized in the same place at night. The staff was nice and helpful. There' a small supermarket inside the property, a bit more expensive than in the city, and laundry self-service.
Review 92:We did not like the public transportation system (not fault of Camping village). Improvements suggested: include photos of nearby bus stastions and interchange points (e.g. from Google maps) into transport information provided by Booking.com to know where to leave the bus
Review 93:Staff, minimarket, laundry
Review 94:We liked everything on the site we felt welcome and safe. The staff were helpfull and the restaurant was great .Accomodation was varied to suit all types of travellers.Great food,Pool was lovely. There were lots of backpackers but everyone had a great time. Our group was aged from 25-61yrs
Review 95:It is a nice place but too far away (really far) from Venice city centre (which is not a problem) but to get a bus or a tram we need to walk (20mins). They need to improve the transport between the camping and the city (the shuttles are not enough and running every hour; so If we don't get in one, we need to wait 1hr for the next shuttle)
Review 96:The pool area & the restaurant with great food are just a really good stuff.
Review 97:We loved the bungalow but every time someone in the adjoining bungalow moved the beds shook in our bungalow,it was unnerving at first but we soon got used to it.
Review 98:Pool and restaurant bar were great, as was the staff.
Review 99:Make sure you book your shuttle service to Venice and back, because the bus stop for public bus n 6 is very far from camping.
Review 100:Athmosphere very laid back chilled and friendly. All comforts. Excellent costumer service at reception, bar and restaurant. Good value for money. Basic mobile house but does the job.we loved it.
Review 101:Mobile homes are very hot and damp inside a/c doesn't work well. Not very clean (except the shower) mould caused by dampness there is only the busservice of the camping going to venice and has limited seats, going not too regularly
Review 102:Friendly staff Good transfer to Venice town Nice food and bar at the Restaurant Good Price for Venice for a place to sleep (but not more)
Review 103:Book a little in advance it will be a lot cheaper. When we booked the price that came through was higher than quoted? It was expensive for what we paid!
Review 104:It was a means to visit Venice and the shuttle made it for us.
Review 105:Beds are uncomfortable, the toilet seat was broken. When it poured it down with rain, the heating didn't work. The staff were disorganised at times. Cold Jacuzzi??
Review 106:Cheap, close to Venice, AC worked well. Nice campsite, nice staff. Offered good services.
Review 107:A couple of staff in the reception made us feel unwelcome. We reached by 10 am n were told we'll get accommodation at 2 pm. We requested n were promised we'll be given keys earlier if possible. The staff changed after that and these new people literally insulted us to the extent that it turned out to be a bitter start.
Review 108:The ambience was nice.
Review 109:Location is a bit far from venice (but for this price, something had to be comprimised) and the shuttle bus doesn't run between 12 & 4pm but overall this place was great. They hold masquerade parties at the bar area where all ages are welcome, but the patrons are all over 18. We saw an excited kid show up with his mask only to take a look inside and realize he was the only one, so he left a bit upset.:(
Review 110:The facilities here are fantastic and there are accommodation types for all budgets. This was a great option to experience Venice without breaking the budget
Review 111:Cannot think of anything
Review 112:It is the perfect place for a holiday. We had 2 superior cabins that were perfectly clean and spacious with a small porch where one can spend a nice evening. Unfortunately we did not order breakfast cause we needed to leave very early but we had dinner there and it was very good and prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended to anyone.
Review 113:The reception should be separated for checkins/checkouts and thetravel desk. Often we found the staff who should handle the checkinhad to deal with non-stop incoming guests asking about the shuttleto Venice.
Review 114:Cheap. Economical. Surprisingly comfortable cabin with great shower.Great caravan camping ambience. Relatively ok in walking distance tosome shops and pizza joints at the nearby town.
Review 115:Good location if you are only interested in visiting Venice for a day. Not the right place if you would like to stay for a longer period. Ensure you get a bungalow at the back end of the camping!
Review 116:The directions to get to the campground were good, but it was quite a hike from the bus stop - especially with big bags.
Review 117:We stayed in a "caravan". It had it's own toilet and shower. The facilities were good, had everything you needed including a shop, restaurant and pool. It was really great having it's own bus service to and from Venice as it was a bit of a way out. However you had to book in at certain times, so if you wanted to come home earlier, you weren't guaranteed a seat.
Review 118:The mobile home was very small, windows were green with mildew/mould, outside lights on the homes didn't work. Could have done with warm bedding as chilly in the night.
Review 119:The campsite was clean and tidy. The pool and pool area looked clean and there was plenty of staff around. We arrived late at night and security started our check-in and showed us where we needed to go. Security staff were very informative, friendly and accommodating. Our accommodation was very good value for money but the mobile home was tiny and very difficult to move around in. Thankfully we just stayed for x3 nights. The bar onsite was very good and the shuttle service into Venice was ideal.
Review 120:First of all, the resort isn't actually in Venice. You have to takea shuttle bus to there, which is 3.80€!! The location of the property isimpossible to walk to and is in the middle of nowhere, with no localshops of any kind. The place is full of bed bugs!!! It's absolutelydisgusting, I have over 15 bites from the bed bugs. When I reported thisto reception, they were very rude and did not handle the situation well. They told me that there are no such things, and that I, in fact hadmosquito bites. However, I've looked at previous reviews and theyalso made a statement of bed bugs being a problem. Fortunately we wereable to move rooms, but had to wait an hour for the keys. During thistime we were packing and found that our bags were damp from being lefton the floor in the room, which did smell damp when we arrived butthought nothing of it. We went back to reception and mentioned this, they were really annoyed with having to "deal" with us againand claimed that there was nothing they could do other than send acleaner. We are now in a different room, which is considerably worselooking than the other, but hopefully there are no bed bugs. Pleaserethink about staying here, and take reviews into account.
Review 121:The only decent thing about this establishment that there is an outdoorswimming pool.
Review 122:- Too little space for 3 persons - Little repairs are necessary in the room
Review 123:- We enjoied the pool - Parking inside property is a plus - The access to Venice island is easy
Review 124:There is always a long queue for check in or to get some information . In my opinion there is short of staff at the front desk . And since we had a delay in flight we missed the shuttle bus of 12:30 and we had to turn back and catch bus because next shuttle bus was at 16:30.
Review 125:Very clean chalets, the comfort of having two bathrooms , comfortable beds and good reception of wi-fi.
Review 126:Long line at the reception, I think there should be more receptionists as it is a very busy campsite.
Review 127:It was clean, towels and linen included in price, very good sized pool, location, shuttle service, supermarket. Chalets well spaced with two bathrooms. I only stayed for one night before and after a cruise departing from venice and it is an excellent location to go to port. I would consider the campsite again for sure.
Review 128:1. The waiting line at the reception is haotic. You never know if you should stay in the "general" queue or your build up a new line for "your" desk. As result somebody coming in can jump in quickly to the free desk without waiting - VERY confusing! 2. Noise from the highway and the parties may be a big problem, however it depends on the location of your house.
Review 129:The price/quality ratio is high. You find everything you need: laundry, supermarket (not large assortment though), bar, etc. The shuttle to Venice and back saves a lot of time and energy! The transport lasts 15-20 minutes. The costs ~4 Euro (two ways) + 1.5x2 the "People Mover" = 7 Euro per day.
Review 130:A bit far from train station. It was difficult to find it.
Review 131:Very helpful, kind staff. The bungallows were perfectly equiped. Everything, shop, bar on the same spot.
Review 132:Our bungalow was near the main road so it was really loud sometimes, but with time You get used to it. When we wanted to stay for one nght longer than we reserved they doubled up the price for that night! So we went to another hotel for that night.. It can be confusing to find it at first, there are no signs on the road - print out a map with streets on it.
Review 133:We stayed 3 nights in a superior bungalow, it is really big and has a really cool shower room. It was very romantic and hotel - like, even though it's camping. The breakfast is buffet , costs 6 € per person,it is really worth the money. We had some problems with air condition, and they sent a man to fix it, even though it was around midnight.
Review 134:poor wi-fi signal in bungalow, very cold in the night, but fortunately we have our sleeping bag, quite long distance to the bus stop to Venice
Review 135:Comfortable beds, mini bathroom in bungalow, low price, swimming pool, friendly staff, free parking space, generally worth of price
Review 136:No rooms with a bed for a couple available. Could get a tiny bit cleaner. Two noise sources: party every night by the pool starting at 11pm and the highway.
Review 137:Good value for money. Pool. Breakfast (extra charge). Privacy. Relatively clean. Towels provided. Good shower.
Review 138:Very noisy: teenagers all over the world drinking and shouting every night and the staff doesn't care although there are cameras, it is really unsafe area.
The Fine Print
