Reviews for Kanz Erremal
Review 1:Nothing really
Review 2:Staff were friendly and helpful, especially as we arrived very late.arranged a camel trek for us at short notice. Breakfast was basic but very tasty. View from our balcony was great. The whole place was full of charm and character.
Review 3:Merzouga used to be the gate of the desert: it has become a Luna Park for group travels with camel rides and fake atmosphere. I was there in 1990 and I didn't recognize the place. The hotel perfectly matched the delusion. Staff was kind but totaly unable. Everything was left unattended. The structure was badly kept and the confort very modest
Review 4:The dunes are still there
Review 5:i had a very bad experience . Normally speaking I had 2 days staying there but I canceled the second day because me an my family were treated like animals. We have ordered a camel ride on 3:00 after every noon then the manager told it is ok it is done you will have the best ride . I said ok. Then at 18:00 there was like 10 camels I said wow there will be fun. Then the man came to me and asked me it is you who ordered the camel ride I said yes he told me there will be an other group of tourists too . I said no problem but remember it was me the first who ordered it so need to have the best camel you have for me and for my family . He told yes but please wait until everybody is gathered I told him ok. Then the tourist starts to come and then one by by one they got to their camels as they choose the best I told the man please it is my turn gotta chose ours he told me not yet and then all the tourists got on their camels and still lefts 2 verry small camels that look like cats and then the man came to me an told me it is your turn. So here I said no I can't take those there not even camels . He told me no beacuse the tourist paid more I told him ok I can pay all the camels if you want but just give the best you have he told that all we have if you don't want them go seek somewhere else. That is the point a very bad service and they tell people go seek somwhereesle . And so I did with an other hotel service which I thank them very much they heard my story and gave their best camels and then I decided to cancel my second day there and got back with the feeling that I will never comeback again to this hotel.
Review 6:I like the swimming pool
Review 7:It is too expensive for what it is, and for the location. All the activities have a European (expensive) prices.
Review 8:The location is excellent, it has a great view
Review 9:Bed sheets were not changed from previous visitors.
Review 10:Location is great, with easy and short walk directly to the sand dunes. Staff are very friendly. The hotel is overall good value for money.
Review 11:Too crowded place, thought. Lot of people going to the desert tours and they are occupying all the lounge area inside and outside. Noise starts very early.
Review 12:Loved our visit in this place. Right in front of the desert, beautiful place. Good food, very helpful staff.
Review 13:What's not to like?
Review 14:The staff, Youssef & Hassan were amazing!, very helpful and everything that came from the kitchen was outstanding. Youssef is a music lover, please take the time to ask him about Berber history & music. Hassan is the wonderful man who will make sure you eat and have all you need. If you want to experience the desert in the south and meet some real people from the area, this is the best place you can come to. We would still be there if it were remotely possible. Best breakfasts we had in Maroc, best people we spent time with in Maroc too! We will be back, again and again. We saw a lot of the country when we were there and Kanz Erremal is somewhere we would return to in a heartbeat. Standards are high, you should expect nothing less from the Berber people. If you need a taxi, ask Youssef, his friend in Merzouga was our best taxi driver anywhere in Maroc, so friendly with great off track places to stop. Five stars! Love to the entire Kanz Erremal Crew!
Review 15:They had drummers playing very late (heater drowned them out). Camel ride into the desert was overpriced (150 dirhams per person), but you are a captive audience. The rides do not go that far so if you want to go out and see the sunrise or sunset, just walk.
Review 16:Hotel is right on the dunes. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
Review 17:1. Not met at the bus station despite written agreement to do so; and no apology 2. Staff more interested in chatting amongst themselves than in the welfare of their guests 3. We had to ask to have a our room cleaned 4. Meals needed to be ordered an hour or so in advance
Review 18:1. Unbeatable location on the edge of the sand dunes 2. Relaxed atmosphere and a well-maintained infinity pool.
Review 19:The hotel is wel located and has a fantastic view on the dubes. One of the only hotels which has an open view on the dunes like you're in te middele of te dessert. You really feel like you're the only one their. You have the armosohere of being in the dessert but with all the luxury and cofort of an hotel. So I definitely would go back.
Review 20:The hotel is perfectly located just in front of the first sand dune, with only some palms and camels in between. Rooms are spatious and nicely decorated, with good air conditioning (regulated) and a generous provision of water in bathrooms with windows. Food is very good, breakfasts great (figue marmelade plus crepes is delicious;) A relaxed ambient and people complete the image of a wonderful place to be. Everyone is very kind, but one person, Hassan ("the big") Ben Hirt is not just nice but seems to carry the whole establishment on his shoulders, to the guests' full satisfaction. I didn't want to leave this place and promised myself to come back.
Review 21:Upon Check-in, we noticed the sheets were full of hair and not replaced - Hassan is a weirdo, he just hangs around with guests. - They tries to overcharge us on checkout - There is absolutely nothing to do there other than riding camels or 4X4 - Pool is always full of sand, did not bother using it, some guests did.
Review 22:Location is at the edge of the Dunes, the 4X4 1/2 day trip was worth it with Ahmad, very nice guy. Breakfast was typical.
Review 23:The staff is very friendly. They organise for us chamel trip to sahara where the guide and all the other staff did good job.
Review 24:Large rooms but a little old, noisy air-condtion
Review 25:Location, lobby, terrace direct to the dessert, wifi and LOCATION!
Review 26:Minimal food option available during our two days, no water for a number of hours and the staff weren't particularly motivated.

Review 36:Hotel was dirty – yes, it is on the edge of the desert and that does present special problems but there doesn't seem to be any effort to address them. Service was disinterested at best. Breakfast OK but an hour late. Wouldn't recommend.
Review 37:Excellent location.
Review 38:Think maybe better value where price includes dinner but you pay for the location.
Review 39:Good Hotel Rooms very spacious Bathrooms pretty standard. Breakfast was excellent and also dinner -ate at hotel as location does not allow going to Merzougha. Staff reasonably friendly
Review 40:Staff is hanging around all day and is not very helpful. Dinner ok and breakfast is not worth to talk about and unfortunately full of flies.
Review 41:The Tower room is very nice and even clean in comparison with the Restaurant and Lounge area. The ground floor needs urgently a clean up. The Location is absoutely fantastic, right in front of the Dunes.
Review 42:Nothing. Everything was great!
Review 43:Amazing location, in the desert! Great staff. The experience of the camel ride and night at the desert was AMAZING!! Breakfast was really good also.
Review 44:Location is fantastic, right next to the dunes and camels "parked" below. The house itself looks like a desert fort, like in a dream. Fantastic food, service and rates. Rooms are great and heated.
Review 45:The breakfast was plain and the choise of soft drinks was poor.
Review 46:Great hotel or more like typical morrocan Inn of the desert. The location is breathtaking no picture can discrabe the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Wellcoming minttea. Nice tajine and variaty of fruits for dinner.
Review 47:The compliant stuff in the relaxed atmosphere directly on the dunes withthe wunderful clean pool- you feel there like paradise... Definitely aninsiders´ tip!
Review 48:We had no towels in our hotel room, also no soap or shampoo. It was onlycleaned once during our 3 night stay.
Review 49:Great location! Sits directly on edge of sand dunes with amazing views.Although the Kasbah is fairly new, it is built authentically with nicedecor and lounge areas. Also features a pool with views of the dunes. The room prices are pretty good value.
Review 50:the location is amazing you are in the middle of the sahara quite and calm friendly staff good food they also serve red wine if requested comfortable rooms super view
Review 51:the atmosphere is kind of weird, the people are not all that nice, but the location is stunning. the rooms and pool could be looked more after - not everything is as clean as it should be and cockroaches in the room does not interest the staff at all do not make a tour with the hotel guide, he is unfriendly, boring and way too expensive
Review 52:best location ever, directly at the dunes
Review 53:Staff were indifferent, occasionally bordering on rude. Inconsistent hot water in the shower.
Review 54:Amazing location - relaxed spot with excellent views.
Review 55:Nothing;
Review 56:Everything;
