Review 1：The lighting in the room was poor; there were a lot of lights but the bulbs were of the "energy efficient" design, providing VERY LITTLE actual light. The design of the bathroom commode was very unusual and a bit difficult to deal with. When we checked in, I pulled out my credit card but the young man motioned it was not necessary; this led us to believe the credit card had already been charged. When we checked out, the young lady almost panicked because we were starting to walk away and she said we must pay. Turns out, no charges HAD been taken and we did need to pay. This misunderstanding is very embarrassing (and, unfortunately, has happened at least twice when the hotel employees don't understand English). It would be much better if ALL hotel charges were taken on check-in (as is the procedure in MOST of the booking.com properties).
Review 2：Gniezno is a very difficult city to try to park in and this hotel provides free parking and is a short walk to the Cathedral area and the downtown area. Location is very good. The wifi worked very well and the heat also worked (since it was very damp and cool out). Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The young man checking us in provided a city map and a couple of tourist brochures in English which was very helpful.

Review 7：Curtains very light - couldn't make the room dark. Pillows not good -too big and empty and soft, but that is the case in a lot of hotels, not just this one.
Review 8：Good value hotel. Facilities are basic and could do with modernisation, but the staff are excellent, location very good and overall I was pleased with my stay. Also beside an excellent swimming pool complex with waterslides.
