Reviews for Antico Podere Tota Virginia
Review 1:The rooms look old and lack renvoation, however, they are really clean and well maintained.
Review 2:Stuff was extremely friendly. And the restaurant has a very nice wine list.
Review 3:a brabd new, somewhat rustic country hotel beautifully located just outside the town. Stunning views, friendly owner, good breakfast, great wine list in the restaurant.
Review 4:I understand a portion of the clientele might be going for this, but the direction of the restaurant was too old world.
Review 5:Terrific room and bathroom with all the right touches. Great staff. Terrific wine list and dessert in the restaurant.
Review 6:Car needed to go anywhere (but this is not a problem if you know it beforehand). Having to go outside to get to restaurant (although rooms being beside swimming pool would be an advantage in summer time)
Review 7:Local scenery, very comfortable bed. Very helpful staff
Review 8:The location and the surroundings is beautiful. A quiet and beautiful place, more beautiful than the pictures described. If we ever are getting married, this would be the place! Nice prices too. The staff is nice and helpful, and the breakfast is great!

Review 10:The experience we had at this property was outstanding. We staying in a Junior Suite with sweeping views of the lovely vineyards from our balcony. The terrace restaurant had a wonderful ambiance and superb food and wine. The staff was helpful and attentive. This will be our first stop on our next trip to Italy. It gets our highest recommendation!

Review 12:The staff was awesome, The food at the hotel restaurant was fantastic and being in the wine business I thought the wine list was memorable. We had some older Barolo that was great. The views were stunning. I would highly recommend staying here!
Review 13:That we had to leave.....
Review 14:Very friendly staff, excellent service, good food and a fantastic wine selection. The suite we stayed in was spacious, and had a nice terrace with a great view.
Review 15:An excellent equipped and located hotel in the heart of Piemonte and Barolo district with dedicated staff. Highly reccomended hotel for a night or a periode. Nobody will be disepointed !!
Review 16:To noisy as it is located directly at a road. You hear every car, heating through air conditioning is noisy too, lower rooms hear everything from above, door is not closing, be careful, safe is not mounted anywhere
Review 17:Very nice stuff, helpful, nice view, good located near Barolo and Alba
Review 18:My fiance and I had a wonderful time. The room was nice, the view was gorgeous, the food was gourmet, and the location was wonderful for our wine tasting adventure in northern Italy. Thanks again for a great trip!
Review 19:Wedding parties on weekends tend to takeover the gardens/pool area and general ambience.
Review 20:Excellent room, comfortable, clean. Excellent views across vineyards. Very central to Serralunga and the Barolo area.
Review 21:-breakfast lacked vegetables and hot breakfast, no healthy options -dinner in the restaurant was overpriced -wifi was poor
Review 22:location and view kind manager and staff selection of wines in the restaurant
Review 23:I love bath tubs and would have liked to have that option. Room was a little depressing becuase the furnature was so dark

Review 38:Restaurant too salty.

Review 41:Very Nice and helpfull Staff. Wunderful place And very Good restaurant !
Review 42:The staff were absolutely fantastic, and could not do enough to help! Our visit was too short and we will definitely return.
Review 43:The Juniorsuite is comparably small with no real separated living area, but nevertheless very comfortable and cosy.
Review 44:The Hosts are extraordinary keen to take care for their guests, the great Restaurant, kitchen and winecellar and the fantastic view over the winehills
Review 45:The Staff were brilliant, very friendly, and most efficient. The white truffles, the food, the Ambience. I really could not fault it. For the high standard of food, the prices were very fair. I would return in a heartbeat.
Review 46:Beautiful place in the vineyards Very warm welcome Very friendly owner/personnel Great & innovative Kitchen & One of the best regional Wine list I have ever seen; great advice by the owner. Close to Alba and many other beautiful places Well maintained house
Review 47:Leaving!
Review 48:Riccardo is a warm and welcoming host who took the time to assist us with excellent winery, restaurant and exploration options. The breakfast buffet set out each morning met every need, and the terrace overlooked the rolling mountains and neighboring towns providing a picturesque view, unlike any we've seen. Riccardo also offers a beautiful dinner service with special touches such as included appetizers and desserts. His staff provided special attention to my gluten-free needs, and we dined with pleasure while watching the countryside twinkle in the evening. The standard room was spacious and comfortable, and the grounds were well-maintained. The location is convenient to the neighboring towns for Barolo tasting. The street is quiet in the evenings to allow for a post-dinner walk. We will be back when we visit the region again. Thank you, Riccardo!
Review 49:Great Place with excellent staff and very good Food and Wine and a view from the resturant over the wineyards in the heart of Piemonte that is hard to beat. A perfect spot if you want to explore Piemonte and the Barolo and Barbaresco Wineyards.
Review 50:Food was so so, they should focus on fewer courses and then make them really good. I am not sure they clean the pool...Got some itches afterwards
Review 51:Location perfect View and scenery perfect Good rooms and nice staff
Review 52:Very friendly Staff and very good Food at the restaurant. The place is unik and is placed nice between the wine yards. Our children also liked it a lot and loved the pool area. Will absoluty come back.
Review 53:First of all we've travelled in all around the country and stayed in various hotels so we have smth to compare. Totally not worth the money! We had a lux room with a balcony, which was partly closed by the next building and a tree so we didn't get the ability to rest on the balcony and enjoy the view. The hotel is situated right on a road, and though cars don't drive often, it more felt like a motel ufortunately, and this is not what you expect to get for 180euro. In the morning all hurried to put their towels on loungers near the pool because there were more guests than the loungers. In the end we got 2 chairs to sit near the pool. Breakfast was very poor and untasty. I'm sorry we had to pay so much, totally not worth it and never return again.
Review 54:The hotel had amazing view over langhe fields! You can sit near swimming pool and enjoy the scinery. Also a great enoteca in just 3-5 min driving to the castle.
Review 55:This is not a 160 Euros per night place. It is over-priced with sun-loungers that need replacing, no 4-star attention to detail in the rooms and the reception. No staff on reception during the day (or one that does not speak English). Don't stay here unless you are OK to drive everywhere for lunch and dinner as it is very remote from alternative eating places.
Review 56:Room was comfortable - but small, with a good balcony and views. Good breakfast too with the manager in attendance providing coffees to order. Good pool area. Good location for wine tasting.
Review 57:Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful.Fabulous views over vineyards as promised Restaurant great...degustation menu first class and value for money.Close to Barolo for the tourist agenda. Traveling with another couple and one room not ready so complimentary drinks and afternoon tea. ..all offered with pleasure..and received the same way.
Review 58:The lack of any proper reception area, the lack of any lounge so nowhere comfortable to relax, meets friends etc, the lack of any normal hotel services, no bar area, the poor lighting in the dark room, the tiny TV, no tissues, appalling coathangers, only one bedside lamp, unreliable hot water, flooding in exterior areas when it rains making access to the main building unpleasant, tough pastries at breakfast, shameful juices, plastic cheese. It is more like a Motel than a hotel, and certainly not four star. We would not stay there again.
Review 59:The restaurant - the food, the charming, young and efficient waiting staff, the wine - all excellent. The Tota Virginia is really a fine restaurant, with rooms - it is not a hotel. (The choice of fresh fruit at breakfast was very good too). It has a good location, just outside Serralunga, with easy access and parking. We would certainly eat there again.
Review 60:Antico Podere Tota Virginia is an excellent place to stay and explorethe Langhe region. The views from the restaurant and pool area weregreat. Staff is very friendly and relaxed and does a perfect job ofhosting their guests. Wine list is impressive and the host is happy toprovide tailor made suggestions.
Review 61:In the aftermath of a wedding Saturday evening, our host let friends andfamily occupy the pool area Sunday, effectively closing it off for mostof the paying guests. The menu of the hotel's restaurant is fairlylimited. On the other hand, the staff is very helpful finding otherdelightful restaurants in the area.
Review 62:This was our second visit. And, like the first time, our expectationswere met. An enjoyable stay. Suitable for those who are in search ofpeace and quiet. The view from the balcony of the restaurant is aloneworth a visit.
Review 63:Liked everything, if you are interested in wine from Piemonte then look no further ! all around you are the vines that make these exceptional wines more or less growing in front of you. We had booked 2 standard rooms but were upgrades to junior suites upon arrival, partly as compensation as a large wedding was being held there and the pool area was being used by them. If we had wanted to swim the manager offered to phone to a nearby hotel and would arrange it for us to use their pool. The pool area was nice and the vistas breathtaking as they were from the resturant where we had an exceptional dinner and took a very fine breakfast each day.
Review 64:Rooms are a little bit thin walled but this was the only negative thing we could find about this hotel.
Review 65:Great location between the winefields. Very nice property, fantastic view, nice pool, good breakfast and superb location to visit the area. Clean rooms with good (new) beds. We are experienced travellers (business and private) and this hotel is a must do.
Review 66:Be aware that there is a distance to the center of Serralunga D'Alba. T
Review 67:Very nice garden with the swimming pool - with a beatiful view. The breakfast was very good and varied. Nice staff.
Review 68:Very comfortable place and welcoming atmosphere. Quiet location with great views of the sorrounding hills.
Review 69:Location superb. Facility (room adequate)
Review 70:Very friendly staff. Lovely food. Right in the middle of the vineyards.
Review 71:The room was rather Little for the Price, and a bit of road noice. The safe was mot bolted.
Review 72:The situation and the staff. The panorama wiew.
Review 73:The view, the restaurant, the place
Review 74:nothing.
Review 75:superb location with outstanding views. gourmet food, beautifully served.
