Reviews for Pampas Motel Port Augusta
Review 1:Nothing in particular, perhaps a make over of the room and bathroom.
Review 2:The staff and their efforts to make me comfortable and the breakfast box, secure parking.
Review 3:Nothing
Review 4:Lady at the front desk was lovely, room was very clean and well looked after. Got a little breakfast package of fresh milk, bread for toast and cereal which was perfect for us just passing through. It's not a 5 star resort it's just a cute little motel that very clean and good value for money.
Review 5:It was a bit tired and dusty, we were worried about how close to the rain track it was but we were not disturbed during the night by any noise from the road or train track
Review 6:Lady at reception was very friendly, the brekky pack was good and just right for the start to the day.
Review 7:Excellent! We stayed in a downstairs apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our night in Port Augusta. Loved being right next to the railway line with a view to the passing trains. We would stay again for sure :)
Review 8:Was near the rail line with long goods trains going through late at night/early morning.
Review 9:Away from the main highway. Room had shutters so was able to make quite dark and not woken by early morning sun.
Review 10:Don't really dislike anything. Folk might be a bit put off by the location, but shouldn't be. Secure parking is provided, and it's just a 5 minute drive into the town centre and good food and beer. So I don't say this as something to put folk off, in fact I would say, don't let it put you off, or you'll miss out on something quite special.
Review 11:Michelle welcomed us like we were family, she was so helpful and pleasant. We were in a motel room separate from the main "hotel" building, but were perfectly comfortable and pleased with how well equipped the room was. I might suggest booking a room in the main building as it has a more "historic" feel to it (though we didn't see any of the bedrooms, so couldn't comment on that).
Review 12:The bed and blankets was so comfy to sleep in i didnt want to get out of bed to leave, such a cosy place to stay with everything you need while traveling. :)
Review 13:Beautiful old hotel our room was large and decorated beautifully beds very comfy and cosy Shared bathroom facilities large and clean community kitchen well equipped. Will stay here again Michelle great host and very helpful with tips on eateries
Review 14:We arrived quite late after a long road trip from Coorong to Port Augusta, so basically just spent a night. But welcome from the lady in reception was warm and the room was so lovely. It is next to a road but we didn't hear a thing. There is also secure parking for those travelling by car. Kitchen is shared, but very clean and has everything you might need, also fridge in the room for your drinks and food. We loved our stay and would stay again!
Review 15:The warden was very helpfull and a very sympathic person. It is a quiet place, and interesting to stay in a historic buildning. Kirsten Kragh Denmark
Review 16:It was well situated with a secure access compound to your accommodation. Excellent breakfast provided to your room. owners were very friendly and helpful.
Review 17:It would be nice to have wifi available.
Review 18:We hadn't expected to stay in Port Augusta that nite but after we broke down we had to find somewhere close to the garage and quickly that was nice and in our budget. The Pampas was just that; well priced, very clean, TV & fridge in the room and good bathroom and kitchen facilities. The owner was lovely and helpful and after we checked out kindly let us wait in the lounge till our car was ready that afternoon. I would highly recommend a stay here!
Review 19:nothing
Review 20:Apparently I didn't quite book what I wanted so I was given the choice of an upgrade at a discounted price which was appreciated Security gates were a nice touch
Review 21:Clost to railway line and road. The trains run during the night but after the first night I slept through.
Review 22:The room was large and clean. Bed comfortable. Difficult to find to start with but it is signposted from the main road. Good secure parking through locked gates. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 26:We really were impressed by the historical value of the building-beautiful wooden staircase and hallway with adornments of interest and in unison with the building style. The room was quaint and set in period style. Very informative and friendly owner who was able to tell about the buildings history.
Review 27:Very welcoming staff Beautiful room with many facilities Microwave, toaster etc Great shower Lovely garden outside our room Lovely atmosphere Very very clean Excellent breakfast included etc
Review 28:The staff were friendly, and helpful. The rooms were so old fashioned it was quite nice. The bed was very comfortable and we got a great night sleep. Even though it's next to the train line that didn't bother us. We had the budget room with shared facilities but they were clean and had your own sink in the room. Would definitely go back for an overnight stay! Great value for money.
Review 29:I was disappointed our room was not actually in the hotel but in an extension.
Review 30:The proprietor was very kind and informative. Enjoyed chatting with her and learning some of the history.
Review 31:Car parking not all that user friendly, the image of the old building is a bit negaative and could be played down in promotional pix.

Review 33:There is a train line close by but didn't bother me too much
Review 34:Clean and cheap Staff friendly and helpful Easy to get in and out of and secure with automatic gate
Review 35:not even a microwave or oven in the shared kitchenette. was basically only a kettle n some benches. Nearby was only fast food or a pub with pokies, which we went to and the food was fair to poor and the service terrible (the bistro that is.. the service at the bar was great)
Review 36:excellent accomodation itself. Room wass great and staff friendly.
Review 37:Michelle was absolutely lovely and very accommodating. The Motel - while an older building -had been obviously restored with love.
