Reviews for Hotel Vienna
Review 1:The Cleaner/ staff enter my room before i check out, it is a invasion of privacy. All my expensive Food i bought from supermarket was dump in to the rubbish bin when i return. i complained but was not compensated. Extremely upset and No manager on duty to accept my formal written complaint
Review 2:Good location and clean hotel
Review 3:Can't tell you how lovely the staff were. They were doing renovations at the time, so the building wasn't at its finest, but the delightful staff made up for it ! Good breakfast, clean rooms, 5 minute walk from the train station :)
Review 4:Noisy on the morning because of maintenance work. If you are asthma sufferer, ask for a room without carpet on the floor !!!
Review 5:The receptionist from Bucarest was awesome ! Thanks a lot ! It takes just 10 mn to go to Venise by bus.
Review 6:Wifi was charged at 1 euro per hour per device, in 3 weeks of travelling around Europe staying in all types of accommodation this was both the most expensive and the only one that charged for wifi access. Room and hotel not very clean. Air-con poor.
Review 7:Extremely well located for Venice Mestre station, allowing for easy access to the main island of Venice
Review 8:I had difficulties speaking understandable English with the staff. Most of them are Chinese from kitchen to reception and manager. Bad experience when requesting internet. You buy internet for every device that you have, not per room. I wanted to talk to manager and nobody wanted to call him. Furniture in the room looks very old and not in good condition. I had to change the room because of the bad smell inside. I suggest changing the name to Shanghai hotel.
Review 9:Good position from Railway station. One (European) receptionist when checking in was very kind and helpful.
Review 10:Everything was awful..you pay for everything, for wifi, parking, breakfast, even for breathing :p..the stuff arent polite.the room is lovely but not comfort.i wouldnt recomment this hotel
Review 11:Only Breakfast
Review 12:No refgirator in room but you can ask the front to put your stuff in theirs. Very few restaurant around the station and the hotel but one restaurant next to the hotel opens very late, although I did not try.
Review 13:A fairy big bath tub for a hotel of this class. Parking space was quite good. One hour free wifi per room per night. Quiet and nice neighborhood.
Review 14:Room was full of insects, especially mosquitoes but also spiders and other climbing insects. The air refreshener in the bathroom made a cracking noise every 30minutes all night long so we barely slept. When we asked for a better room they said we had to pay everything again. The room was small. I would never sleep here again or recommend this hotel to anyone. Only if you are dirt and insect lover you would find this hotel nice
Review 15:The location was nice
Review 16:Smell, car parking, Cleanliness in the sorroudings, Staff in the night had no or enough english training,
Review 17:Breakfast, location 5 min walk to Mestre Train station
Review 18:There was a minor renovation going on at the hotel. But not something that disturbed us too much.
Review 19:The rooms were comfortable and clean. Service was good as well. Breakfast was really nice.
Review 20:The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect. Just 2 minutes from the train station to the old town of Venice. Given that it's a budget stay I was very satisfied with the service offered. I liked that there was a store and pharmacy just down the street from the hotel.
Review 21:room is ok but hall is smell very very bad. i did not understand why but this smell did not go in 2 days when I stay in there. next time i do not want to stay in there.
Review 22:location is good.but when you go back to late it is seems dangerous street. but day time no problem.Italian lady is very good for reservation room. she is very helpfull. but lots of Chinese people and they are not very kind for the elevator. they push me my kids. breakfast also great.
Review 23:We were promised air conditioned rooms and as we arrived we were told that their air conditioning just broke in the entire hotel. It was obvious that the air conditioning hadn't been working for months or even for years. It was way too hot in the rooms and we didn't even get any complimentary drinks for our inconvenieces. So we didn't get much sleep because it was too hot. Also the rooms and the corridors didn't look clean at all. Plus the breakfast was very monotonous, there wasn't much to choose from. I don't recommend staying at that place.
Review 24:When we opened our room, there was a weird smell of the carpets and realized that the air conditioning wasn't working (no one mentioned it at the reception during check-in when we paid the full money). On being asked about it, we were told that it would be fixed before bed time. When we came back in the evening, we were told that the guy didn't come. Later we observed that the entire central cooling system was taken out from the ceiling and there was no way it could have been fixed in a few hours!!
Review 25:Room is small, AC was not working, the fan provided was not useful at all, TV is very old and small....
Review 26:The help by staff, the reception and the restaurant....
Review 27:Lack of soundproofing. On our first night, we were kept awake until midnight by noisy schoolchildren running up and down the corridors shouting and slamming doors. On our last night, some adult guests arrived in the early hours and were also very noisy.
Review 28:The location is good if you don't mind an easy journey into the centre. The reception staff were always polite and helpful. Room was clean and towels changed every day.
Review 29:Poor maintenance, 2 man elevator, pay for parking, the door coming off the hinges and hitting me need I say more?!
Review 30:Proximity to the bus to Venice and the woman at the front desk who spoke 4 languages!
Review 31:Air conditioning was out. Fortunately, the delivered a fan to the room. It didn't make the room cool, but helped make it fine for sleeping.
Review 32:They did a very good job with the continental breakfast....many items to choose from.
Review 33:Wifi was not free after an hour Toilet was uncomfortable as it was right opposite the shower (would knock into it) Rooms were warm and when the window was opened mosquitos came in and there was too much noise.
Review 34:Really close to the train station and some local restaurants.
Review 35:Air conditioning didn't work which meant window had to be open but street noise was severe from street cleaners to late night patrons- very noisy and Mosquitos got the best of us.
Review 36:Close to train/bus location to access Venice. Room was good size and clean.
Review 37:Bed was terrible, had one hour of free wifi per room per day that only worked in the lobby then you have to pay, room small, air conditioning doesn't work
Review 38:Close walking distance to the train
Review 39:Nice staff. Good breakfast, though same every day. 10 minutes walk from Mestre train station. 5 minutes to the Venice bus. Small shop and a restaurant nearby.
Review 40:It's not a lux hotel but if you're on budget it's fine I guess. Ok to spend a night or two at.
Review 41:The hotel really needs a renovation but for this price it's fine. Location is great. 5 minutes or less on feet from the train station. Breakfast is good.
Never ever reserve a room in Vienna hotel, stay outside sleep in the street but never ever make the mistake we did. I recommend Hotel Le Mondial, the one they made us sleep in. We enjoyed our weekend at last after the horrors we saw in Vienna hotel.
Review 43:On a rien apprécié. RIEN DU TOUT. We didn't like anything at all. The hotel was awful like hell.
Review 44:unpleasant smell in the room. But the staff clean the room everyday so that might be a little comfort.
Review 45:Location is ok. Not far away from Mestre train station, basically every 20 mins there would be a train to the main island.
Review 46:The beds were a bit out of comfort -there was a cloncking noise in the pipes at night i hope the hotel will fix.
Review 47:Breakfast package i early morning . Good price
Review 48:The check in was really late and we couldn't get to sleep in the morning when we arrived.
Review 49:It is really close to the train station to get to Venice. The staff were amazing and super nice.
Review 50:The receptionist was helpful when we arrived providing information about how to travel to Venice but she was a little bit rude as well, although it might have been due to language barrier. Hotel staff ignored guests in the corridor. Nothing serious really but from people working in the hospitality business one would expect more hospitality. It would have been nice to have some fruits at breakfast.
Review 51:The location of the hotel is very convenient, 5 minutes walk from the railway station Venezia Mesre in a residential area. The train to Venice Santa Lucia Railway Station takes 15 minutes and trains go every 10 minutes. Bed was comfortable.
Review 52:There was a bad smell constantly coming out from the bathroom, it seems a problem with the septic system. The room is very tidy but could be cleaner. The TV was not working, it was not a problem for me, but some people may like watching TV before bed. The breakfast was fairly good, but the coffee is bad. Do not expect too much if you are a coffee lover.
Review 53:The hotel is very close to Mestre train station, this provides great transportation for us to Venice. Fairly good breakfast, coffee, juice, bread, croissant, yogurt, etc. The bed is more on the firm side, just the way we like (although some people may prefer softer beds). The staff was not particularly friendly but was helpful and professional. When we arrived our room and found out it was crazily messy (apparently left by the previous customers) the staff gave us another room straight away.
Review 54:It was pretty much all good for the price. The bus to Venice stops close to hotel and was always packed but still a great cultural experience!
Review 55:Nice area, near to Venice Mestre railway station, one stop from Venice main station. Helpful staff, breakfast, wonderful little restaurant a few doors away with quality home cooked Italian food. Happy experience.
Review 56:The hotel is located only 5 min walk from Mestre train station. The breakfast was great and they even prepared a breakfast box the last day of stay when we checked-out early in the morning. The staff was helpful and the room was clean and quite cozy. goog value for money!
Review 57:No wifi in the rooms.
Review 58:Very neat rooms. Great breakfast. Great staff. I had to checkout at 6 in the morning and the guy at the reception packed my breakfast ready. totally impressed.
Review 59:Room was for 3 people- the third bed wasn't comfortable
Review 60:Good location just 5 min walking from main train station in Mestre. Also in several steps from hotel is located small farmer market with the best seafood we 've seen in Italy Breakfast nothing special - bread, cheese , ham croassants with jam and good coffee
Review 61:The place is owned by Asian people and you can see it reflected on the quality of the service. Breakfast is great, room was decent, and the personal was extremelly polite, something rare to find in Venice
Review 62:Room, restaurant, entry, etc. the hotel caters to asians (which is ok)but it should be advertised as such. We planned on having dinner therebut the clerk told us we were better off going to a restaurant.
Review 63:Nothing
Review 64:weak breakfast, not clean hotel, we saw cockroach after breakfast, it is good that we saw it after breakfast. bed smell in the holes and in the elevators. The beds are very old and very soft for body. The triple rooms is not real triple room. They put extra bed to double rooms. An the third bed is something like a child bed.
Review 65:Very close to bus stop (number 6 and 6/). You can reach Venezia in 10 minutes.
Review 66:Maybe the price wasnt as fair for the rooms standards.
Review 67:It is close to the station, so if you need to travel from Venezia station its perfect. Breakfast was ok, as expected.. nothing complicated but was good enough.. The rooms are not bad neither. We stayed at the hotel to travel the next day so overall it was good.
Review 68:The place is not air conditioned. We hit a heat wave and the room was unbearable. They stated that the A/C was down for the day, however the lobby had A/C but the rooms did not. What is called A/C is really a fan.
Review 69:Location is quite good, quick train ride to Venice. Lobby is attractive and the rooms are a decent size.
Review 70:wifi free for one hour a day only in lobby, one person per room allowed on it.otherwise 5 euro a day
Review 71:great location clean friendly staff nice continental breakfast
Review 72:Room absolutely not seen as on the pictures. Room was very small, about 12 m2 include bathroom. In bathroom there wasn't shower cabin, just a tube on the floor and a shower curtain. The whole hotel was very worn out. Never ever.
Review 73:For 100 meters there is the bus stop goes to Lido. Breakfast is good, there was croissant in two tastes, bread roll, crescent roll, cold cuts, cheese, cereals, yoghurt, milk, coffee.
Review 74:- We can find points but for a hotel for this price...we were happy to book this hotel .
Review 75:-There is private parking , [ 10 euro a day] but the car was save with Luggage on top. -Friendly people, also the suggestion to go to Venetië by train [ 1.25 euro pp] was very helpfull and was near to the hotel. -the breakfast was good, we enjoyed it. - they filled our bottles to make our own cup of coffee for free! Very friendly. -
Review 76:The staff was rude and accused me of cheating them on a free wifi issue. Their free wifi didn't log remaining time.
Review 77:The location was good. Near a bus stop and the railway station.
Review 78:Wifi can be used just for an hour. Even the guesthouses have free wifi in our day, this three star hotel can not provide wifi service for free.
Review 79:Close to mestre train station and close to bus station which takes you to Venice in 5-10 minutes. Affordable price and good for staying few nights not much. Breakfast is quite poor but anyway you won't stay hunger.
Review 80:The room is small, around 9m2. Breakfast is basic but Ok. There is no kettle in the room and you have only 1 hour internet free at the public area.
Review 81:Around 7min walking from Mestre station. Room is small but clean. Staff is nice, though staff in restaurant are Chinese with limited English. I can leave my luggage after checkout to go to visit Venice and back at night to pick up my luggage.
Review 82:No value for the money. The room and the entire hotel smelled awful (we had to hold our nose in the elevator). The showers were extremely strange. We had room with carpet but they have rooms that are wood floors. Get that room because you won't have to deal with the smell as much, although it is unavoidable if you open up the closet in the room or if your go into the hall. No internet in the room - you have to pay 5 euro for wifi over an hour and you will have to use it in the lobby (unless your room is on the first floor in which case you will get a signal - at least we did and were able to use the wifi (only one subscription per devise) in the room). Terrible for anyone who has allergies of asthma. You might be better off paying a bit more to stay somewhere more clean and with wifi
Review 83:I didn't try the breakfast so can't speak to that. The reception desk was helpful. I guess it's cheaper than other hotels although I suggest you really look around before deciding to stay here. Only two blocks from train station and one block from bus station so easy to get to airport and to venice.
