Reviews for Albergo Diffuso Mannois
Review 1:it may be useful to know that some of their rooms are a little walk from the main building where breakfast is served, but they are equally as charming and it s a lovely town to walk through
Review 2:Fabulous hotel in an equally wonderful location - at the top of a traditional old town bursting with character and friendliness. The staff were super helpful and willing to assist in every way they could. The hotel is traditional yet has a uniqueness.
Review 3:the bedroom with was too small, although comfortable.
Review 4:The breakfast was great, sumptuous. Also, I liked a lot the bathroom w/ its shower and the big king bed!! The location was nice and also the terraze was cute. The wifi worked perfect everywhere always.
Review 5:Room was a little small for the price
Review 6:Bike rental for trip to the Hotel's private beach was great. Great selection available for breakfast in a lovely terraced area. Staff were extremely helpful
Review 7:It would have been nice to have had more comfortable seating somewhere - only hard chair in room and metal chairs in courtyard. Even a cushion would help!
Review 8:We stayed in the main building with beautiful rooms overlooking courtyard, individually furnished. Great breakfast.
Review 9:Having to leave the car in another part of Orosei due to the very narrow streets with absolutely no parking - keeps the place very quiet though. The beds weren't particularly comfortable.
Review 10:Traditional Sardinian building. Good location for Orosei. The man that came and found us after getting terribly lost in the narrow, dark lanes of Orosei was very nice, try and arrive in daylight, it's a warren of one way, very narrow streets. Breakfast was nice in the courtyard of the separate building which was a 5 min walk away. The restaurant terrace on the top of Sa Turre (our accomodation) was nice and perfect for our late arrival - around 8pm.
Review 11:No pool.
Review 12:The rooms were cosy yet spacious, with lovely bathrooms and a fantastic shower. The court yard was full of character. The staff were very helpful . special mention for Davide and Emmanuel.
Review 13:Paying 8 euros for 'wash' of 2 beach towels! Bring your own as this is just price gouging. Staff said they would book a boat for us and the next day they had failed to do so meaning we had nothing in place! Best to make bookings yourself as hotel staff not customer focused and on the ball. Very sloppy.
Review 14:Beach club and bicycle facilities are good.
Review 15:The remoteness of the public car park from the hotel. Wi-Fi sometimes a little unreliable
Review 16:Very hospitable and friendly owner and staff!!!! The main building has been lovingly restored by the owner to authentic Orosei architectural style. An incredibly comfortable bed with traditional Knotted whitework embroidered linen. Powerful shower
Review 17:Loved the style of the albergo, breakfast was great & staff so friendly. Loved taking the bicycles to the beach. Thought orosei was beautiful & still untouched by tourism.
Review 18:The first night we stayed in a room where we could hear everybody passing on the street or going out of the building and we didn't have a good night sleep because of that. However, the next day we nicely asked the staff for another quieter room and they were very nice and moved us to another room
Review 19:They offer access to a private beach and they lend bikes to go around. The decorations are very nice. The breakfast was good, offering more options than the normal italian breakfast.
Review 20:Cannot fault
Review 21:Everything from start to finish was incredible! Davide [the gentleman who runs the hotel] organised transfers for us. The first night we arrived we were shown where everything was on a map. The town centre in only a short 10 minute walk - you'll find bars, restaurants, gelato shops and gift shops. The breakfast every morning is a pretty incredible continental buffet platter [do try their home made jams and cakes]. The private beach is amazing - clear blue seas and very clean golden sand. You can buy beers, drinks, snacks and ice-cream from the mini shop on the beach. Free wifi on the beach too. I also highly recommend Sa Turre [the hotels restaurant] It's located on the fourth floor of one of Mannois' restaurants and the views are incredible!!! The food though - has to be some of the best I have EVER eaten. You have a set menu depending on what food the restaurant brings in. We had a seafood spaghetti pasta with fresh mussels, crabs, clams, squid and prawns. It was some of the best food we've ever tried. It was wholesome delicious Italian good food! What an amazing holiday!
Review 22:One thing which barely shows up: the restaurant is excellent. Beautifully located with a great view of the whole village, very nice food and amazing staff!
Review 23:There isn't much sound proof between the rooms. You can hear what people are watching next door.
Review 24:The staff is wonderful and the room is spacious, clean and pretty. Breakfast is held outside and the food has variation each day! There is a private area in the beach for the hotel customers. But I recommend you drive there as it is a bit far.
Review 25:you must park in some place and ask them to help you with the luggage, since the location is in a narrow old place. Notwithstanding this, they are very helpful and everything is done nice and quickly
Review 26:the facilities, decoration , staff, breakfast
Review 27:We had a non-smoking room but for some reason the room smelt like smoke every time we entered it.
Review 28:The hotel and its rooms look very charming. The staff was helpful in picking us up when we arrived. They showed us where to park and brought us and our luggage to our room ( our room was not in the main building). They also helped us getting our luggage to the car when we checked out. Finally, the dinner in the restaurant on the 4th floor is also very worthwhile. Good good and nice views of the village.
Review 29:Beach was 2km out but the hotel had free buke rental for the spin out which I thought was brilliant
Review 30:Loved the location, chraming old town and loved the fact there were seperate buildings. Davide was a fantastic host, at our disposal for everything and even printed our boarding passes for our departing flight.
Review 31:The hotel itself is very pretty, the pictures online don't really do it justice. It is centrally located meaning everything is in walking distance. Our room was great - modern bathroom, air conditioning, comfortable bed and a really nice outdoor seating area. Breakfast was fantastic - plenty of choice and good quality. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Also - we hadn't realised that the hotel had it's own beach area for guests, including parasols and loungers - great!
Review 32:Better directions to the parking area of the hotel would be appreciate. Piazza Mercato isn't on any maps!!!
Review 33:The entire hotel is gorgeous and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The quality of the food at breakfast was exceptional. Couldn't recommend it more!
Review 34:A bit difficult to reach with public transport. However, if you have private car or private transfer, no problem.
Review 35:Very great customer service! Davide the receptionist helped us with almost everything... Checking bus times, booking excursions, taxis to even dinner recommendations. The hotel even gave us a refund for the first night as we didn't stay there due to a missed flight. Overall, well done, 10/10!
Review 36:Not by the beach. Parking is down the hill and hard to load/ unload if you have a lot of luggage. No soy milk at breakfast.
Review 37:Very cute with beautiful patio/ courtyard. Large rooms good wifi. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. Well worth the money.
Review 38:The sea is not as close as we had thought but it is a pleasant walk to get there.
Review 39:The main hotel building is cute. Our room was in another building located a few mins away. We really enjoyed the breakfast. The staff is really friendly and helpful.
Review 40:Very friendly personal Loved the local interior which has been designed with much passion for local materials and furnitures. Very clean and comfortable
Review 41:It's a very tricky town to drive in - very narrow, one way streets. Worth the effort but be prepared! Make sure you go to the main reception first as there are 2 other room locations without receptions. Also note it closes for siesta.
Review 42:Very nice comfortable room in the Torre. Big bathroom. Easy stroll to very pretty little town with good dining. Electric bikes great to get around to the beach. Nice breakfast. Helpful staff
Review 43:Nothing. Loved it.
Review 44:We absolutely loved our stay here in this restored historical building which is within walking distance to the town centre. The rooms were clean, staff were super helpful with providing advice on what to do and where to eat and even though we were tourists, we felt like we were living with the locals. Just wonderful :) Ps. The beach is a fair walk, be sure to take advantage of the free bike hire to get there. Once you're there, it's worth it.Lovely private beach with plenty of sun-lounges available.
Review 45:Our hire car got damaged whilst parked in a nearby car park which we had been assured was safe.
Review 46:Great location and facilities, the hotel is mixed in with local houses and it was great to hear music playing and conversation (some people may find this too noisy but we loved it) Fantastic views and gorgeous cobbled streets Staff all friendly and all attempted to understand our limited Italian Rooms quirky and clean Fantastic if you're not a fan of big chain hotels.
Review 47:- creative, authentic and unique design of the Hotel and rooms - cleanness - great breakfast - great that they offer a private beach with WIFI, towels, umbrellas and lying chairs
Review 48:nothing
Review 49:We had a beautiful holiday in Orosei, also thanks to the hotel and staff! Everything (location, room, atmosphere, etc...) was perfect with this hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. My baggage arrived 3 days delayed, the staff helped me to communicate with the airline, received my baggage at the reception and transferred to our room (Thanks for this again!!!). We arrived 3 hours after reception closing time (filling in the PIR took 2 hours at the airport.....), but they checked us in helpfully without any problem. Orosei is a really beautiful and romantic small Italian town, with nice beach only 2km drive from center. We were really satisfied with everything.
Review 50:Dangerously steep 'ramp' through the gate onto the street. Should have steps! Despite signage everywhere, we found it difficult to find thru a maze of very tight one way streets.A very late check in time of 17hrs was inconvenient!
Review 51:Very atmospheric environment. Stylish small modern room with semi private outside terrace.
Review 52:noisy stairwell (the main entrance door slams too loudly)
Review 53:the location, the house, the main house, the team, the breakfast buffet, the town, the beach, wifi at the beach
Review 54:We stayed in the main house and really enjoyed the comforts of the room. The staff was extremely friendly and waited for our late arrival till 11:30 pm to welcome us. Definitely go to the beach where the property provides wifi and beach chairs and umbrellas.
Review 55:No parking space except public parking nearby. Its not large and fills up quickly. If you dont find a space youre in trouble. The prices are a little high for what you get and the room is significantly smaller than depicted on pictures.
Review 56:The location is smack bang in the center away from noisy traffic. Clean, in room inventory good
Review 57:Our room was away from main hotel building - minor issue so not really a problem
Review 58:Nice hotel Lovely breakfast in lovely courtyard Very clean Nice shower Great Staff
Review 59:Restaurant a little pricey compared to what's on offer nearby but the food is still great and of course very convenient if you didn't fancy moving too far for your meal.
Review 60:What a lovely lovely place to relax and forget the hustle and bustle of city life. This must be my favourite getaway place that I've been to over the last 5 to 10 years. Gorgeous setting, discrete but attentive service and full of charm. The staff all seem to love working there. I'd love to come back.
Review 61:it is not two steps to the sea, but we went to the different beaches by car
Review 62:It is really great place to stay in the old center of Orosei. Narrow streets, old yellow buildings, everything is very italian) if you have a car, you can visit nice beaches, like Cala liberotto
Review 63:Spread out locations.
Review 64:Courtyard breakfast garden. The town.
Review 65:Proximity to the centre. Breakfast.
Review 66:Bathroom on lower floor, with steep steps
Review 67:Charming location, bikes to beach, beach club, nice rooms, good food.
Review 68:It was perfect. They have thought about how to organise themselves so that you can do everything you want whilst your there.
Review 69:Utterly lovely and relaxed and friendly. Absolutely miserable to leave!
Review 70:Very friendly and helpful staff and great breakfast. Charming area to eat breakfast. The free bikes came in really handy for going to the beach.
Review 71:Great that they have their own beach club.
Review 72:Beautiful authentic property with beach club and complimentary bicycle use. lovely!
Review 73:None
Review 74:Comfortable spacious room Great shower Comfy bed Delicious breakfast Leafy terrace for eating breakfast outside Helpful friendly staff

Review 76:Our room was on the courtyard which was fairly noisy in the morning.
Review 77:Beautiful place room was very spacious.
Review 78:Room was very nice, breakfast was great.
Review 79:Excellent breakfast
Review 80:Great helpful staff, very nice room, very clean, great breakfast
Review 81:The place situated very good, the stuff is polite, communicative, gives A very good service, explain everything which is needed
Review 82:Very friendly and nice location in a typical part of Sardinia without huge tourism.
Review 83:Breakfasts, decor, friendliness of staff, authentic feel
Review 84:Our nicely designed room had only two small windows. But for two nights this did not matter.
Review 85:extremely friendly staff, scenic & historic buildings, e-bikes for rent, excellent breakfast, panorama terrace on top of our building + the whole concept of different locations embedded in the old town of Orosei.
Review 86:really narrow road, difficult to drive and park around the hotel.
Review 87:lovely hotel and staff, located in a very quiet and peaceful area of Orosei, very quaint, will go back again and recommend it to friends and family.
Review 88:Water catchment on shower didn't direct the water the best it could and the floor ended up soaked every time.
Review 89:Cute decor, easy walk to Main Street.
Review 90:Warren of alleys made it a very difficult location to reach with car. Rather nerve racking. Better to park in one of the piazzas and ring hotel to come get you with golf cart!
Review 91:Charming rooms at the main location. Lovely courtyard. Great shower.
Review 92:Our room was a little small but we stayed there only for one night. A noisy staff (clean service) in the morning.
Review 93:Very friendly and helpfull staff. Middle in the historic Center of the City. Сomfort, breakfast.
Review 94:The location was fantastic and in walking distance of the old town. Staff we're lovely. Food was plentiful and fresh every morning and very clean throughout. I could not recommend this hotel enough. Thanks for making our stay an enjoyable one :-)
Review 95:Absolutely nothing. It would be very difficult to improve on this hotel experience. My only suggestion to the hotel would be to offer some of the jam for sale in smaller jars so that those with small carry on bags can pop a few in their suitcases (under 100 ml). The jam was fabulous and we would have loved to have taken some home!
Review 96:Mannois hotel was fabulous in every way. I spent much time researching hotels in the area and I cannot say enough about the hotel itself, the staff and the location. I have travelled all over the world and I must recommend this hotel for its authenticity, attention to detail and extremely accommodating staff, including Davide on reception who made our stay so memorable. When we arrived in the evening he ensured the wine I had requested was in our room (for my husband's birthday) and he offered to recommend a restaurant and take us there in the golf cart as it was dark and we were a bit disoriented. At every turn he assisted us with transportation, bookings, questions and recommendations which made our stay simply seamless. We stayed in the junior suite in the main building and I would highly recommend the room. It overlooks the courtyard and it is finished to a very high standard with extremely comfortable foam memory mattresses and a very good shower room with excellent pressure and space. We loved the authentic Sardinian touches; the bamboo, the exposed brick and tiles - it was simply lovely. The location is perfect for strolling in Orosei and the signs back to Mannois are very helpful as you come back in the evening. It was fun to explore the historical centre and we found the people very genuine and friendly. The breakfast at Mannois is excellent with lots of choices of homemade breads, jams, cheese, fruits, hot bacon and eggs if you wish and some local specialities such as ricotta and honey. The lady who serves breakfast was one of the nicest people we met during our stay - so friendly and obviously enjoying meeting all the guests. We had a look at the senior suite whilst there and it was also lovely. We also rented two bikes during our stay and it was good fun to explore the area and Osala beach. The hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere and in terms of cleanliness it was spotless. The attention to detail at every level was very impressive.
Review 97:Our room was a little small but we were there a few days so struggled to find enough storage for our belongings in the room.
Review 98:Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. Fantastic breakfast set in a sweet courtyard. Very friendly staff, particularly the lady at breakfast.
Review 99:Very friendly and helpfull staff. Middle in the historic Center of the City . Very nice room with balcony. Excellent breakfast / the best Selektion in One week in Sardegna . Private Transfer from the parking Spot .....Super
Review 100:We were disappointed in the size of the room it didn't look like the photos . It was a bit of a struggle for 3 nights and we would return but for a bigger room. Saying that the shower was big and great.
Review 101:The hotel had a great beach area with sunbeds they had electric bikes to rent and a useful bike route. The breakfast was very good.
Review 102:Nothing
Review 103:Very relaxed atmosphere, but with excellent staff. The room was spotlessly clean & serviced to a high standard every day. Good selection of continental breakfast.
Review 104:Hotel located in narrow one-way lane, which makes initial access by carand parking a bit stressful.
Review 105:Intimate, charming, small hotel has been stylishly created in restoredold buildings in historic heart of Orisei. We stayed in one of thebeautifully converted annexes around the corner from the hotel. Verycomfortable bedroom and luxury bathroom with own terrace area. Excellentbreakfast selection - recommend the deliciously creamy yoghurt. Veryhelpful and friendly staff. Owner has handy electric car to transportguests and luggage to annex on arrival and to point out where to parkyour car. Hotel road signs in village very useful.
Review 106:Excellent hotel - upgraded to a junior for free - nice courtyard - good breakfast - ... visit the record/bookshop on piazza del popolo for rare jazz and indie vinyl (really!) and belohorizonte on Via Giuseppe Dessì for great food, people and nocino. Orosei turned out to be a real gem!
