Review 1：Facilities were not there as they advertised,there were no beach to use it's a deep sea ,we were really disappointed & I want to spread this massage out not to wast valuable money by visiting this place just only looked at the web advertisement.The prices they charge for food without any taste is higher than the star class hotels& what they have only we have to eat.

Review 9：The lovely beach you see in the photos no longer exists as it eroded away several years ago. At the edge of the property beyond the pool, there is now only an ugly wall of rocks.

Review 11：The hotel failed to pick us up as arranged from the airport which wasnot a good start, despite my having email confirmation that they woulddo so. I called the hotel to be met by frankly a load of waffle bysomeone who sounded as if my phone call had woken him up; he then saidhe was the manager and then later at the hotel denied he was themanager. I eventually gave up in disgust and got a cab which I suggestedas a gesture of good will the hotel pay for as they had left us waitingabout Colombo airport. They agreed to do this...at the time of check-in.On arrival at the hotel the receptionist immediately began persuadign me'not to be angry' about the failed airport pick-up, and whenasked if he was the person I spoke to on the phone he said that he was,but that now miraculously he was not the manager. Anyway eventuallychecked in, after a long night's travelling, we were looking forwardto a bit of sleep. The hotel was noticeably quiet and although wereached it at about 7.30am, there was no one having breakfast. The roomwe were shown to was far from the 'cosy room' described on thiswebsite. It was extremely shabby and the paint on the walls was peeling.The bathroom however was the biggest disgrace of the lot - dirty, dusty,with soap scum round the sink, a couple of tiny pieces of soap for twopeople, one bath and one hand towel for two people, no other toiletrieswhatsoever, other guests' hair and whatever else on the floor,pathetically poor water pressure, a real shocking state. The beach wasdirty and strewn with litter; even though I realise it is rainy seasonand the sea is rough and will blow detritus on to the beach, it says alot for the lack of concern of the management of this hotel that theydid not clean the area in front of the hotel at least, although thewhole beach as far as the eye can see is dirty - this was the'beautiful Mariwala beach' decribed on this very website.

Review 12：Absolutely nothing. One small glimmer of hope was a really nice waiterin the breakfast room who was very pleasant and helpful. I felt sorryfor him having to work in that place.

Review 27：No Spa bath or tv in room - room not as advertised. Staff /management would say one thing then say something totally opposite shortly thereafter. Every time it was presented as though you had got it wrong, even where you had repeatedly sought to clarify. This was not a language problem so much as an unwillingness to admit a mistake and in so doing 'lose face'. The beds were incredibly hard - mattresses were traditional palm beds
