Reviews for Hotel Finn

Review 1:Not much to mention.

Review 2:The staff and the service are absolutely fantastic. Nice and clean rooms. Initially it looked a little old and not very nice to me but a little later I absolutely loved it, especially due to the wonderful service.

Review 3:Water runs out of the shower and the indications 'hot/cold' were not correct. Clock on the wall wasn't working. Even though I had no problems,my room was on top of bar and terraces area and can get noisy when busy.

Review 4:Modern room with all main facilities, friendly staff and wifi worked well

Review 5:Bathroom not very comfortable, especially if you share the room with another person. You can hear the noise and music from Anno, the disco-pub in front of Finn.

Review 6:Nice room, very near pedestrian and shopping area.

Review 7:I could hear the noises from some bar at night - I stayed on a Sat night though i.e. Not sure if every night is like that.

Review 8:Very central to train station and city centre

Review 9:The first night a bar nearby produced a lot of loud music till late at night.

Review 10:Very helpful staff who kindly and efficiently accommodated our request to move to the quieter side the building.

Review 11:Nothing of significance, hotel was great for a night stay before my meeting

Review 12:Local to Centre of Almere and walking distance from the Train Station as well as the main square for eateries.

Review 13:Booked a room with square view. Saturday night was club night at Anho and music didn't finish till 4am and noise continued till 5am. Even with windows closed it was very hard to sleep

Review 14:Breakfast is very poor and not fresh. Cheese, ham and scrambled eggs are dried out. Bacon available just once per 5 days. Value for money 12,5 Eur very poor!!! Suggestion - don´t make it eco, but make it fresh....especially the eggs.

Review 15:Wi-fi connection dropped roughly once every two minutes for both guests, and often capped out at 5kb/s.

Review 16:Food is excellent, breakfast is good, rooms were perfectly clean.

Review 17:It is a bit pot luck on the type of room you get. On my first stay, I had a nice clean tidy quiet room. On my second stay, I had a larger room but the carpet was stained and i think it was above a club as I could hear music till about 12pm. Music wasn't overly loud but very annoying. Breakfast is pretty basic and not worth the cost. They need to review the dinner menu. It looks like a set menu for 2 or 3 courses but you can purchase just 1 item however if you are keep tracking of cost, you don't see the individual cost per item.

Review 18:It is in a good location and feels your basic requirements for a hotel. The new restaurant/bar area is nice and the dinner I had was tasty. The staff are always friendly.

Review 19:We has a 6 days of staing at Finn hotel. Last night was really bad. A lot of drunk people came, they were screamin and drinking and running till 5 in the morning. Our daugther 12 years old was not sleeping at all. In the morning I could not take a shower, no hot water….

Review 20:I called at 2230 to get pin code for wall safe for my keycard, but the answer machine indicated the reception closed at 2300! I had to go to Hotel Anno, to get number to phone. No one on that number either. Somebody eventually called me back. Could get no wifi connection that night. There was a weak signal in the morning.

Review 21:It was a handy location. Bed is comfortable, No Airco, but it did not matter for October stay. Great shower. Good price.

Review 22:Ran out of fruit at breakfast twice while we werr there and also cooked breakfast was mot warm enough

Review 23:Location very convenient and staff very accommodating

Review 24:My room was not cleaned for my second night on the premis they werehectic, instead clean towels in a bag were left outside my room if youdon't hire enough people to clean all your rooms you are notmanaging your hotel properly and breakfast don't bother

Review 25:Design of room is fine for the price you pay

Review 26:Room was rather small without a bathroom door. Room wasn't ready when we arrived after check in time. Coffee, sugar andilk wasn't replaced daily

Review 27:Location and helpful staff

Review 28:Sadly the Square outside was frequented by people who argued in loud voices as yelled at one another until the sun started to rise then they went to wherever they go. One can only assume they were on drugs to continue for as long as they did.We changed rooms because we were unable to open the window to let in fresh air.everthing about the new room was excellent.Staf very helpful and obliging, but after dark the racket started up and as noted earlier went on all night. This meant the window had to be closed to reduce the noise of these people and as it was summer with good warm temperatures meant the room became uncomfortably hot. Sad really as everything else was fine.

Review 29:Generally everything about the hotel was good to excellent

Review 30:Some noise at night from passers-by, very poor WIFI signal, it is at bit difficult to locate the hotel because of the very limited signage.

Review 31:Good and central location in relation to the train connection to Amsterdam, fair price. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Review 32:No proper Bar Weak wi fi in rooms

Review 33:close to the city center but remote from busy & noisy square Friendly staff

Review 34:Bit cold in the number on arrival.

Review 35:Comparing to my last visit hotel is expanded with restaurant, which is a big plus!

Review 36:rooms comfortable breakfast good value and staff pleasant

Review 37:Very helpful and polite staff, great facilities, clean and comfortable room.

Review 38:Rustig hotel, direct in het centrum. Prima bed en douche

Review 39:Strange layout of toilet.

Review 40:Room space is OK.

Review 41:Very friendly and professional staff.

Review 42:For me was difficult find hotel.

Review 43:The hotel was great ! Especially breakfast was very good :-) Modern interior and fresh food ! Good job !!

Review 44:The wifi is horrible. You can only connect it in the corridor.

Review 45:Quiet. Nice staffs.

Review 46:WiFi reception was poor from the room, but OK in the rest of the hotel.

Review 47:Location at the edge of the shopping area, easy access.

Review 48:Hotel room very clean and comfortable. Ideally located to the centre of Almere.

Review 49:Rooms do not have A/C. Would not recommend staying during the summer.

Review 50:The location was great for downtown Almere and proximity to Amsterdam.

Review 51:none at all.

Review 52:The hotel was close to all amenities, staff were very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was fine and enough for the day.

Review 53:Food price a bit expensive

Review 54:Quiet hotel mn away from center

Review 55:Cost of the hotel Restaurant Size of room Excellent shower

Review 56:Nothing ..bad experience

Review 57:Nothing..to like ..staff no good..no phone working...no security after 12 ..you will be in jail after 11 pm

Review 58:The cleanliness, the silence in the rooms and the food.

Review 59:Wifi was spotty.

Review 60:Room was very comfortable. Proximity to train station very good.

Review 61:- Depending on the room location, wireless Wifi signal can be weak in the room. If you have a network cable, no problem, you can plub in.

Review 62:The wifi connection is fair inside the rooms

Review 63:The room is clean, comfortable and quiet.

Review 64:Excellent breakfast in pleasant cafe style surroundings, pleasant helpful staff

Review 65:Wifi speed is unstable and slow.

Review 66:Good coffee service in-room: Nesspresso.

Review 67:Clean, quiet, easy to get to.

Review 68:The area

Review 69:the room was too small

Review 70:The receptionist behaviour (Kathlene) was execptional, she was very very good

Review 71:No decent coffee at breakfast. Breakfast is overpriced for what you get.

Review 72:During weekends, there is a cellar in the building next to the hotel with Parties. This means loud 'music' from midnight till 0700 in the morning. Even on the 2nd floor with windows closed we could clearly hear this

Review 73:Right in center, walking to main shops. Still close to park(s)

Review 74:Elevator not working and very difficult for elderly couple having to carry suitcases up thrêe flights of stairs.

Review 75:Convenient to station and very lively square

Review 76:The toilet floor could have been cleaner, there were splashes in front of the toilet

Review 77:the staff were very friendly. The hotel was very quiet and no noise from the street. Bed was very comfortable.

Review 78:Room had two steps down from bathrooms (toilet was across room from shower and sink!). Shower splattered under shower door (which stopped a foot above the floor) so entire sink floor got wet. Hotel not well-marked, hard to find--passed it multiple times on the street before seeing name etched on door glass. Parking 1+ blocks away (city multilevel garage). "Chairs" in room were wooden cubes. Analog wall clock, couldn't see time in the dark. Beds were comfortable, which was only real bright spot for this hotel!

Review 79:Good breakfast, convenient to train station

Review 80:Didnt like the lack of wardrobe space and the fact we wanted fresh air but the window was broken so we couldn't open it.

Review 81:We really liked the shower, that was its best feature. We needed more wardrobe space n case storage would have bee useful.

Review 82:REQUEST A ROOM ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE HOTEL, THERE IS A CLUB NEXT DOOR- IF YOUR ROOM IS ON THE FRONT YOU WILL HEAR EVERYTHING UNTIL IT CLOSES AT 5 AM!!! Don't get breakfast in the hotel, it's barely a breakfast and there are a lot of other choices for less within 5 minutes walking distance. There is no a/c, so if it's hot outside; it will be hot in the room. Lastly, don't turn the water on full blast in the shower. You WILL flood the room. The drain can't keep up with the water. I know it's not just my room, the others that stayed with me had the same problem.

Review 83:Right in the middle of the square. There are at least 10 different bars and clubs in the square alone. They don't start getting busy until midnight or 1am. Walking distance to train and bus station. 35 minute train ride to Amsterdam. The bed was comfortable, lots of outlets for phones and stuff. Wifi was free and decent.

Review 84:No room service. Towels in the bathroom were very small and a bit scratchy.

Review 85:Breakfast was basic but nice. The room had tea and coffee facilities which was nice. Shower is lovely

Review 86:Goodness... Where to start. Before I made my reservation, I rang the hotel and asked them about noise as this town has a lot of Clubs so I knew what to ask for. They told me there was no noise. We stayed for 4 nights - Monday to Wednesday te music was loud until 3am. Thursday until 5am. I explained we had a 4 month old baby with us, you would hope they would be honest about this. The beds are HORRIBLE!!! I still have back pain. The hotel is unattended after 11pm at night so you can't ask for anything anymore - not even a security person around.

Review 87:The team working there were very good and could not do enough for you. Breakfast was good.

Review 88:I stayed at the room 205. Two things needed to be fixed... The shower and the socket under the bedside table next to the window. There was only one thing that I didn't like. Me and another couple got stuck outside in the cold, because the back door was left locked at night. But overall it was a good experience.

Review 89:Location, the hotel was very tidy and clean... The staff was very friendly and helpful with informations. It was my first time in Almere and I really enjoyed it. I'll come back and stay with you again...

Review 90:- Not very clean - Because I have stayed for Saturday night, the down music was very loud and noisy - The shower is not isolated from the room, i.e. it opens on the room, and if you take a hot shower, the room becomes humid

Review 91:- Excellent location, near the main market

Review 92:Lwte arrivals having to go to local bar two blocks down to get a code for the night box, some of the furniture wasnt properly cleaned in the room and it was quite dusty.

Review 93:Its quite retro and friendly enough. Rooms are nice and the showers were great!

Review 94:The noise from the club downstairs.

Review 95:It was modern, clean and comfortable. The location very close to the Esplanade where my husband had a Challenge competition. The breakfast was also good.

Review 96:The balcony could be opened from outside as well (with your room card, for example). Like this, when people go there to smoke, the smell will not come into the corridor.

Review 97:Very well connected with everything (train, airport, highway). Just outside there are plenty of places to eat and have drinks. I liked the modern decoration.

Review 98:Size of the room a little be small Size of the guardarobe small Room looking on the back side, very very noisy during the night!!

Review 99:Good location Very nice Front desk staff Good quality of the bed Room very cleaned

Review 100:Nice Staff Good quality of the beds Good Location

Review 101:Suggestion: paper tissues in bathroom

Review 102:perfect location in centre of Almere, shops, bars and restaurants around the corner, parking opposite hotel entrance against reasonable price

Review 103:Nice and convenient hotel for seeing Amsterdam, which was the purpose of the trip in the first place. Only about 4 minutes walk from the train station, and with fast train connections to AMS. Cheaper and much more convenient than to stay in Amsterdam.

Review 104:The hotel rooms are situated directly above a night club which was open until 6.30am on the Saturday all though this did not keep us awake i cant imagine for others it may and if you had kids with you could be quite a problem as a fight broke out early hours of the morning in the street causing a lot of noise xx

Review 105:The hotel was central located to all the shops, restaurants, take aways pub and clubs. was only a short 5 minute walk to both the train station and bus station.

Review 106:To start, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was slick, clean and spacious. Clean, large bathroom in-suite. It was nice to havethe view of the square and not too noisy (but we stayed at Hotel Finnduring week days only). The location is perfect to get around Almere. Idefinitely recommend it.

Review 107:Our telephone didn't work. Our tv didn't work. Water from theshower was not very hot. Rented us a uk plug adaptor which was brokenand a hazard.

Review 108:The staff were very friendly and the location was great for nightlifeand transport into Amsterdam. Also, it is pet friendly which was areal bonus.

Review 109:The room was very dusty a over and the carpets were stained

Review 110:The location was excellent for the train station and shopping. The room design was very nice aswell.

Review 111:Nothing really, but if I have to say something - the TV froze on The last night.

Review 112:Easily accessability, clean and comfortable, facilities very good, coffee nice and easy. It has a good location and easy to get back to from the local festivities.

Review 113:it was a little small, but for over night it worked the shower, it flowed over no face clothes in the room

Review 114:the bed, very comfortable the duvet was very cozy, loved it

Review 115:I would suggest they place microwaves in the rooms so that the guests have a way of heating food purchased out. Drinks at the vending machine was rather expensive, one 20ozs coke cola was priced at 2.50 Euro. I booked a double bed instead of a double bed I got a twin which was not what I ordered.

Review 116:the location was in the city center, bus & train station was within minutes walk, Restaurants & shops were all in walking distance to the hotel. The security measures was great, otherwise it was quite comfortable. . the staff was friendly and spoke English witch was a plus.

Review 117:There is a night club near the hotel so its little bit noisy. Its a little bit difficult to find the hotel despite its in the city center .

Review 118:Hotel is clean and comfortable. There is a Nespresso machine in the room.

Review 119:On weekend nights, there is a club right next to the hotel and I had trouble sleeping with the noise. The wifi is pretty bad and only works in some areas of the hotel.

Review 120:The rooms are very tidy. Small but very comfortable. The maids do a fantastic cleaning job. The vending machine is very well stacked. The receptionists are incredibily helpful.

Review 121:Hard to find, due to limited signage outside..

Review 122:Friendly staff, nice sized room with good facilities. Also an excellent shower..

Review 123:We could not have a breakfast or at least a coffee after 9:00 am on Thursday 29th

Review 124:One staff member was fairly rude

Review 125:One staff was excellent

Review 126:Everything is ok,only the cleaners need to improve their services

Review 127:Breakfast was really poor in comparison with other hotel we visited before in different countries.

Review 128:Professional personnel.

Review 129:No issues, all good

Review 130:Great location. Great value for money! Not noisy at all, even during weekend.
