Boasting unique milk-coloured bubbly hot spring baths, Awanoyu provides traditional Japanese-style rooms and heartfelt hospitality. Guests can unwind in the open-air baths, try on yukata robes and savour delicately prepared Japanese meals at the ryokan. Free WiFi is offered at the lounge area and in all guest rooms.
Fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding, each room comes with a low desk and seating cushions. There are also chairs beside the windows looking out to the lush trees. Other in-room facilities include a TV, a fridge and a telephone.

Review 1：The airconditioning could be a little hotter but seriously thats very minor Its not like we were cold

Review 3：Very expensive. Probably not worth it. I'd recommend checking out another ryokan in Shirahone Onsen (about 10 min drive by car/bus) for about half the price but not available in Booking.com. Also a bit tricky to get to. Be sure to check the bus schedules from either Shinshimashima (30 mins away from Matsumoto; only a few per day) or Hirayu Onsen. Or, you can take a $20-30 cab ride from Sawando (a small town along Route 158).
Review 4：It's a beautiful, historic, facility in the mountains with all the modern creature comforts and recent renovation. The dining was exquisite (traditional "kaiseki" style for dinner and breakfast) and the baths awesome. Quiet rooms amidst a beautiful environment setting.
