Reviews for Jadan Cottages
Review 1:Not applicable as everything was spot on.
Review 2:Greeted by owner, it was a hot day and owner had the aircon on all morning, she showed us through the property which was more than big enough for the two of us. They also provided a complimentary welcome basket with loaf of bread, tin of baked beans, large uht milk and also large fruit juice and enough brekkie cereal for 5-6 days. Mentos sweets on table. Very comfy beds, info on broken hill. Great private outdoor BBQ area. Spare batteries in case our equipment ran out of juice - everything we would ever need was there.
Review 3:Everything was just perfect.Cottage was gorgeous decorated and contained everything we needed and more. Felt very welcome and can only recommend this place highly.
Review 4:Loved everything about this place. Seemed liked every little detail had been thought of - fresh bread on arrival, all the tourist activites to do in the area, box of supplies complementary, cooking oil, sauces, food wrap etc. Wonderful place to stay, made our visit to Broken Hill very memorable - thankyou Carolyn.
Review 5:There was nothing bad about this accommodation.
Review 6:The welcome from Carolyn was outstanding providing information on Broken Hill. The surprise was with the supply of the snacks, food and 1 litre of milk and juice plus a loaf of bread. This accommodation has been the best we have ever experienced. I don't give excellent on reports as I believe there is always room for improvement. Not this time, I could not find anything to improve. on.
Review 7:Was amazing. Highly recommend to anybody. The house is larger then it looks and so so nice. Arrived with milk and juice in the fridge and some food in the cupboard as well. Carolyn the owner is just beautiful and was so helpful. 10/10 for everything will definitely be booking back in for our future trips to broken hill
Review 8:The cottage had everything I needed for my 5 day stay in Broken Hill. It was close to a shopping centre and a short distance from the centre of town and major attractions.
Review 9:Friendly, helpful proprietor. Lots of welcome extras to make our stay trouble free. Welcoming and clean. An excellent property for a stay in Broken Hill.
Review 10:Jaden Cottages was cleaner than some of the 5 star hotels we have stayed at, the Bed was comfortable and it carolyn the owner left more than what was expected, The value for money was exceptional, Well done keep up the great work
Review 11:The Jadan Cottage experience was absolutely fabulous. Had everything we needed and much more. It is tastefully decorated to the highest standards. The bed was extremely comfortable and we even had the use of the secure off-street parking. Also within walking distance to the shopping centre. Host Carolyn is a warm friendly person and very accommodating.
Review 12:Carolyn was fantastic throughout booking. My Uncle grew up with the original owner of this property, so many good memories were a plenty. Four adult men, had plenty of room in a very neat n tidy re designed cottage.
Review 13:The whole package was beyond our expectations .From our initial contact with our hostess, we felt comfortable. We loved the ambience of the cottage, and the many extra thoughtful commodities that were provided.
Review 14:Nothing to complain about.
Review 15:The cottage was homey and comfortable, spotlessly clean and well maintained. The rooms were nicely decorated with the heritage theme, and were large enough to enjoy the time at home. The location was very good in the middle of the town yet on a quiet street. Private parking was a bonus. Generous breakfast provisions were unexpected but very welcomed. We had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing time. Highly recommended to all who like quiet, relaxing and affordable accommodation.
Review 16:Nothing!
Review 17:What an amazing home away from home. We wanted for absolutely nothing! So spotlessly clean and the breakfast and snack supplies were fantastic. Bonus free wifi was so appreciated too. An absolute credit to the owners. We're already telling everyone we know about Jadan Cottages! Thanks again ☺
Review 18:Probably governed by heritage restrictions, the bathroom is away from the main living areas. Otherwise all is perfect.
Review 19:From the moment you walked in, the cottage felt comfortable, homely & spacious. Carolyn greeted us & was warm & obliging.
Review 20:No negative comments
Review 21:An extremely well presented and comfortable property representing extremely good value for money when compared with the overpriced and tired motel accommodation on offer across the country. A personal and caring touch was most evident and would thoroughly recommend to other travellers.
Review 22:If there were two mature couples, and they needed to use a toilet at night, it could be rather awkward, by either going through the others bedroom, or having to go outside.
Review 23:Everything was to our liking
Review 24:Only issue was accessing bathroom from second bedroom. Would suite couple of with 2 children rather than 2 couples. Second outside accessible toilet was appreciated.
Review 25:Clean,tidy, and comfortable.
Review 26:The cottage was charming, spacious, well furnished and clean: the perfect base for a stay in Broken Hill. Caroyln was very friendly and so helpful when we lost our keys.
Review 27:A super cute cosy fully equipped cottage in a super cool town. Carolyn met us there and showed us everything. The place was clean as and had all sorts of little items provided free (butter sachets, fruit salad punnets, little packet of biscuits etc) that normally you have to pay for. It just felt like home away from home and being on an ordinary town street made it feel as if we were one of the locals. Highly recommended.
Review 28:It was lovely to have a little house to stay at . It has everything from toast, juice , snacks to a washing machine ,powder to use for it, a little court yard and a garage to park your car. A must to stay at and only a short walk to a supermarket shopping center. Fantastic value for money, and lovely host. Would recommend Jadan cottages to ant traveler.
Review 29:Nothing
Review 30:Loved the cottage, we found it was close to the shopping centre but in a lovely quiet street. Inside there was a lovely goody bag for us to use and we found the cupboards well stock, very handy.
Review 31:Jaydan Cottage is a real oasis, it's just like coming home after days in motels. All comforts provided and a lovely range of breakfast goodies. Thanks for your great hospitality.
Review 32:40 degree day in Broken Hill. We arrived early afternoon, and enter the house and the Aircon has been turned on since morning. The owner really cares for your comfort. Everything was excellent, not as a B&B, but as a place for friends to stay. We loved the house, we loved the convenience to everything in town, and we loved our two day stay. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants goal peace and privacy, with a hint of being spoiled.
Review 33:Thought the bathroom was in an awkward position as it was off the second bedroom and was difficult for those in the main bedroom to use.
Review 34:The lovely ambience of the cottage and the excellent facilities.
Review 35:Packing up and leaving.
Review 36:We liked everything about this cottage including the "carport" that was big enough to facilitate our Toyota Landcruiser Prado.
Review 37:This is one of the best accommodations we have stayed in on our many travels in Australia. We booked the one bedroom Cottage 1 but were upgraded to the larger two bedroom Cottage 2 on arrival. The cottage was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped, with easy access to local shops and the town. It was full of heritage charm but at the same time comfortable and functional. All the rooms were of a good size especially the kitchen/diner and bathroom. There were two indoor sitting areas , a large covered outdoor eating area with bbq and a pleasant lawned area. Finally we were pleasantly surprised at the wide range of breakfast items and condiments supplied as part of the rental. We really enjoyed our stay at Jadan Cottages and would not hesitate to recommend these cottages to anyone, we would certainly not stay anywhere else if we were to return to Broken Hill.
Review 38:nothing
Review 39:Carolyn spoilt us with lovely variety of breakie foods , free wi fi was great and everything about the beautiful cottages was excellent , we will be back for sure
Review 40:NOTHING.
Review 41:My husband and I spent 2 nights in #2 cottage and were very comfortable. The lounge, bed, kitchen, outdoor eatery were all excellent. The inclusions surpassed what we had been used to elsewhere and we thank Carolyn for thinking of everything, AND MORE. Very highly recommended.
Review 42:I don't think there was anything to not like!
Review 43:Everything! The cottage was beautifully appointed - nicely furnished, clean, tidy, comfy beds, large bathroom, laundry with washing machine and dryer etc. everything that could possibly be needed was provided, including a 'goodie basket' of food, fruit juice and fruit in the fridge as well as milk, and all sorts of extra supplies in the kitchen drawers such as batteries in case of need - and it was a very good price. Carolyn met us at the cottage and showed us around, which was lovely. She and Gavin are obviously very thoughtful and caring owners and we would happily have stayed longer. Thank you both for everything.
Review 44:Kettle needed cleaning, there were a few floaties in there!
Review 45:The cottage was very clean and comfortable with everything you needed being away from home. We have a baby so the second room was perfect for her to sleep with an air con and very quiet.
Review 46:We cannot fault cottage 1
Review 47:Our stay at Jadan cottages was excellent . The cottage was clean and well presented . I would not hesitate to recommend to our freinds . All the extras made it mutch more enjoyable. Excellent bed lounge kitchen and bathroom. Well done Carolyn.
Review 48:Absolutely no criticism from me - I loved Jadan Cottages & was sad to leave.
Review 49:I loved the fact that we walked in & called it home - lovely homely touches throughout and the owner made us feel welcome. She went out of her way to provide everything needed to make us comfortable including breakfast etc.
Review 50:Everything. We were met by the owner who gave us a detailed introduction. There were lots of complementary essentials which were very convenient. While the layout was a little different having to access the main bathroom from the third bedroom there was also access from the patio through the laundry and a separate toilet with access from the patio. The cottage was roomy and well equiped.
Review 51:Excellent self-contained cottage close to shops and equipped with every necessity. There is enough room for a family with 2 lounge rooms and 2 bedrooms in Cottage B. Bed was extremely comfortable with air-conditioning, a lovely outside barbecue area and even a shaded carport with a back grassed lawn area. Kitchen is well-equipped with a lovely hamper of breakfast food and snacks. Would highly recommend. Lovely owners who were very obliging which made it a very enjoyable stay.
Review 52:No dislikes,large or small.
Review 53:Warm welcome by Carolyn who showed us all the facilities and gadgets. Quiet and private outdoor dining and barbie area.Well stocked cupboard and fridge with complimentary nibbles, soft drinks, etc.Food and necessity shopping nearby.Short drive distance into town.
Review 54:Bathroom location
Review 55:The property was well appointed and spotlessly clean. We received a great welcome and were surprised at the supplies provided for our use. WiFi was very welcome.
Review 56:We are travelling around Australia from Perth, and after having stayed in 15 different accommodations, Jadan Cottages was the best so far. We are sorry that we couldn't stay longer.
Review 57:Drain smell in bathroom. Would suggest a lighter colour lampshade on bedside lamp as reading in bed was difficult.
Review 58:Making the booking was easy, Carolyn was excellent. Very private, with a well stocked breakfast basket.
Review 59:Nothing - great place
Review 60:Carolyn made us very welcome, the cottage was spotless and roomy, and she had thoughtfully provided a few breakfast and other provisions which made that small difference. Two TV lounges in a weekend of football finals was most timely!!
Review 61:Felt like coming into someone's home. Very thoughtful with everything you could possibly need, including food hamper. Excellent value. This set the high benchmark by which all our other holiday stays will be judged. 10+
Review 62:Nothing. That we had to leave :)
Review 63:Complete home away from home. The items supplied in the kitchen hamper were amazing. Well done on a very well organised property.
Review 64:Lovely renovated cottage, with a wonderfully comfortable bed. Many extras such as bread, eggs, chips, biscuits, mints, chocolates, toys, dvds, the list could go on! Quiet neighbourhood. Secure backyard. Free WiFi.
Review 65:every thing was in order place was spotless and the location was perfect having stayed in hotels overseas it was nice to come to a place that exceeded some of the top hotels Good job owners i'll be back
Review 66:Everything about Jadan Cottages was excellent. Every comfort available, friendly and helpful assistance from the owners. We would definitely stay again.
Review 67:We cannot fault Cottage A a Jordan Cottages.
Review 68:Our stay in "Cottage A" gave us the feeling of being a resident in a Broken Hill home. The place is complete -- bedroom with excellent queen bed, living area comfortably furnished, spacious, well-equipped kitchen, stocked with essentials for next morning (and almost "around the corner" from the supermarket). Splendid shower in the bathroom which also houses the washer and dryer. Outside, a patio area with barbeque alongside a lock-up garage. We didn't meet the landlord, but the landlady was absolutely delightful.
Review 69:We traveled in a group of four adults. I found the single beds in the second bedroom were not really suitable for tall adults to sleep in. would have preferred a queen bed in the second bedroom.
Review 70:Our train arrived in the evening. I was impressed with the variety of breakfast choices available to us in the kitchen.
Review 71:Beautiful, cosy atmosphere, but with all mod cons. Excellent facilities with lovely extra touches. Everything you could possibly need, including exceedingly helpful and thoughtful owners.
Review 72:Wifi provided was very slow. It's like saying the property has running water, but all that comes out of the tap is drips... TV channels occasionally loose signal, but that seems to have been common on our trip in the country. Can't really blame the property I guess. Still, Broken Hill is a big town. Many hotels and properties use energy saving light bulbs. That's okay, unless if it's the cool white ones, and not the warm white ones (which I much prefer).
Review 73:Extremely clean and well presented. The weather was very cold, but there were ample heaters and electric blankets provided.
Review 74:Locked garage for our Jag, so not small garage. Breakfast makings juice, cereal, bread, jams. Good location BBQ facilities Outdoor area for dining Everything worked, 5 star for us, washer and dryer excellent
Review 75:Nothing! Everything was wonderful - wished we could have stayed longer!
Review 76:We loved Everything! Clean and comfy, spacious bathroom, stocked pantry and fridge, every utensil a cook could need in the cupboards, off street parking, large bbq, nice outdoor eating area, stocked laundry, two toilets, and most importantly, lovely hosts. We will definitely stay here again when back in Broken Hill.
Review 77:Lounge chairs were a little uncomfortable but this is the only negative we could find
Review 78:The welcome basket of goodies including milk, cereal, bread juice etc etc was most unexpected
Review 79:Nothing.

Review 81:We could not fault the accommodation.
Review 82:Beautifully restored miners cottages with modern attractive interiors and amenities. Full kitchen and excellent bathroom with many extras including laundry, lock-up garage, patio and BBQ. Snacks and cereals provided. Even free WiFi.
Review 83:Met Carolyn in Broken Hill and from that moment our stay was nothing short of fantastic.Beautiful Accom.especially for the price. For us a great location we thoroughly recommend Jadan Cottages, only wished we could have stayed longer.
Review 84:The only observation I could make is that we found the disinfectant used to clean the cottage in preparation for the next guest is far too strong and the odour from this disinfectant remained very strong throughout our stay quite unpleasant ..
Review 85:Carolyn provided a very welcoming arrival, Detailed orientation of cottage and surrounds supply of maps . Good location .close to shops and town . Lock up garage for parking . Kitchen well equipped Well contained and clean cottage Generously stocked with supplies for breakfast and snacks
Review 86:The wifi was at times slow, but that's a Telstra issue.
Review 87:The cottage has great facilities, a BBQ, separate bedrooms, and newly renovated bathroom. It's a very close walk to a supermarket and shopping centre and in a quiet street. The hamper of food and snacks, a fresh loaf of bread and milk was a very welcome surprise. The heaters worked well and made for a very cosy nights sleep.
