Reviews for Villa Guarnaschelli
Review 1:You need a car.
Review 2:The room was clean, the staff was nice. We checked in at the late evening and we had a problem with the a.c in the room. the guy at the reception was really nice and helped us, called a technician to solve it although it was 10 pm. The view is great.
Review 3:I have booked for 2adult and 3 children, but they told me that booking only for 2adult. Then I showed my booking details and they did not agree with that and I paid additional charges in the reception for my kids. Also staff services are very poor and I will never ever stay there
Review 4:We had no bad experiences - only good.
Review 5:We loved the location and we liked the very friendly and helpful staff. We were even more pleased when we heard about the special people employed in the villa and on the farm.
Review 6:We did not have our own transport. It was a train and bus trip from Florence and then a then 20 minute uphill walk from the bus stop to our accommodation. The journey taking over 1 hour. The wrong side of Tuscany to be wanting to walking in the countryside.
Review 7:Very clean private and spacious accommodation. Friendly and obliging staff. Good breakfast.
Review 8:The highway lies just very closed to the house and cars are going through all the time which makes a big noise.
Review 9:The view from the window is great, staff is very pleasant but only housekeeper and one reception guy speak English. Personnel understands only Italian. The room is very nice and comfortable.
Review 10:A little hard to find the very first time but once we knew the route it was fine.
Review 11:Great location for taking the train/tram in to visit Florence. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful location.
Review 12:ABSOLUTELY only for people who have their own transportation!!!! 1. Although the hotel says it is in Scandicci, it is actually out in the country on the other side of Scandicci from Florence, there is no public transportation convenient to the hotel, and when we explained that we needed to use public transportation, their solution for us was to walk 1 1/2 miles to the nearest bus station each morning and each evening when we returned. This was a lonely country road with no shoulders or sidewalks. Between our walk, a bus ride to the tram, & then the tram, it took over an hour and fifteen minutes to get from the hotel to Florence then another to get back each night!!!
Review 13:The hotel staff was friendly and there were pretty views.
Review 14:Large comfortable room
Review 15:no english speaking personal
Review 16:garden, view
Review 17:Outside there is a noise of a nearby highway though it is very quiet inside the hotel.
Review 18:A wonderful place to stay near Florence with views of Toscana. Very clean and comfortable.
Review 19:Great hospitality. Wonderful people. It was the first time that manypeople there didn't speak English, except the younger ones, but thiswas not a problem at all. They want and they manage to help you to havea great time. Clean rooms, nice breakfast. I highly recommend thisplace. It is near Florence, but you can also visit the whole Tuscany. Wevisited, starting from here Pisa, Lucca, Viareggio, Livorno, Siena,Voltera, San Giminano.
Review 20:Note a and coffee making facilities. Staff could not speak basic English and appeared oppressive. Glad to escape through the locked gates at times. Motorway spoiled a great view. No outdoor facilties to relax and sunbathe.
Review 21:Character of the building.
Review 22:The breakfast was very ordinary. The hotel is at the end of an unsurfaced drive, very difficult for bikers. No bar.....but water was provided.
Review 23:The location, the bed, which was so comfortable. Really nice staff. Very picturesque, and a discount at two local restaurants.
Review 24:Location, it is so hard to find this place even for the taxi driversfrom Santa Maria Novella station don't know this place. One nightstaff 'Rafael' is so kind to me when I arrived on Aug. 5. He wasthe only one. Other than that it was bad. Location; forget it if youdon't drive or have a gps. One of the staff even told me that hedidn't want to give me a glass so I could drink my water properlybecause the guests are likely to steal the glass/glasses. How wouldthat make you feel. You have traveled so far and wanted Italian friendlyhospitallity, but not from this place. Big mistake that I made. It wasnot my first time in Florence and in Italy. I thought I could have awonderful experience in the countryside, but no, I felt so helpless andtrapped there. Maybe, it is ok for only the Italians who stop there fora day or two. I will never go back there ever again. I will plan my tripbetter next time. Oh! They don't speak English or answer the phonein English during the day and the guy(didn't know his name)didn't answer the phone at night either. He could care less.
Review 25:Cleanliness
Review 26:Villa is perfect place for those that look autenthic experience in Toscana. Quiet, close by Florence, Pisa, Sienna... and after active day outside you may enjoy beautiful garden and view. We had quadruple room which is very comfortable. While some people may find anoying that staff do speak only Italian, we find it cute and enjoyed conversation :-)
