Reviews for Shirogane Park Hills
Review 1:Onsen looked a little old. Quite a drive to and from the hotel.
Review 2:Value for money, has onsen. Comfortable room. Hotel is tucked away in the woods, will definitely need a car if u are to stay here.
Review 3:Lovely staffs, spacious room with very comfort bed, great dinner and breakfast buffet, nice onsen, the Shirogane waterfall is just right behind the hotel and the Blue Pond is a short drive away.
Review 4:Tatami bed is good but the western bed is too soft and springy. No wifi in the room.
Review 5:The onsen and hotel surroundings were very nice. Short driving distances from the Blue Pond and National park.
Review 6:Its about 20km from Biei town where you'll find food else you are stuck with hotel food. Hotel is a bit dated. You need to have a car to get around.
Review 7:Peace and transquility. A number of nature walks around the vincinity.
Review 8:The hotel and the onsen was a bit old, and the amenities in the onsen was basic compared to other hotels. Although the falls was right behind the hotel, I'm not sure if it was worth staying a night there. Certainly if you had a car, you could make it to the attraction and back to your hotel in less than 30 minutes from Biei town. The hotel's only restaurant - pseudo French style - only served buffets for both breakfast and dinner - opted to go out for dinner but because it's quite a distance from everything else, and restaurants closes early, we could have benefited from eating in. Otherwise, make your restaurant reservations before arriving or before 4pm.
Review 9:The Shiratake falls was literally behind the hotel.
Review 10:This is a large modern high rise hotel catering to tour groups with lots of kids and senior citizens. The swimming pool is a big attraction for family groups, and was constantly full, and noisy. There was no place (e.g. No bar) for adults to sit and chat. The food in the restaurant was about the worst I've found in any Japanese resort--big, low quality buffet. I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless looking for a "family getaway" without much class.
Review 11:Nice location with green forests all around and good hiking at the doorstep.
Review 12:The bus schedule is not made available easily. Infrequent bus schedule. Last available bus is 5:26pm.
Review 13:The Daisetsuzan National park is in the same area. Walkable distance to some trails

Review 27:The bed is so small and the matress is not comfortable.
Review 28:Onsen was good with kids yukata provided.
Review 29:Free wifi only in the lobby, not in the room. Diner menu is expensive (>3000 yen/pers.)
Review 30:L'onsen!
Review 31:The hallway was very smoky because the smoking room was next to it and not closed. The rooms were rather old and the atmosphere not so nice.
Review 32:I love the outdoor onsen.
Review 33:It takes a bit of time to travel to nearby region.

Review 37:Hot spring
Review 38:Hotel is a bit old.
Review 39:Close to blue pond, water fall and onzen in hotel.
Review 40:Onsen was a bit dirty and food not value for money.
Review 41:location is too far from the JR station. Transportation is poor.
Review 42:service was good
Review 43:Very limited English speaking customer service, but their attitude is very good; the hotel room needs some upgrade, look quite tired; The room we stay is very big but the carpet is outdated, and the curtain is faded; can't completely block the sunshine which is annoying in the morning.
Review 44:walking distance to white waterfall; breakfast buffet is more suitable for Japanese customers; The room is big;
Review 45:There is no wifi or Internet access in the room. Had to stay out at the lobby to connect to Internet.
Review 46:The huge hot spring spa that is available for guest. Nice buffet dinner. Near to all Shirogane places of interest including Shirahige waterfall just 1min away. There is a souvenir shop available.
Review 47:The carpeting and upholstery are worn.
Review 48:The location. Was right in the mountains - perhaps on the back of a national park. 2 minute walk to falls and river. 5 minute drive to a blue lake. Staff spoke English sufficiently enough that we were comfortable with it.
Review 49:No meals included in our plan and generally there wasn't much aroundto eat. Just a small mom&pop eatery 5 min walk away (was pretty okand cheap home made food) and a small convenience store about 7 minwalk. Hotel was old in general, 80s feel. Quite inaccessible, need totaxi there or rent a car. Tried to book the shuttle bus but nobodyresponded to repeated emails written both in English and Japanese.
Review 50:The relaxing hot spring bath and very close proximity to the Shiroganewater falls and blue river. Lovely views.
Review 51:Hotel was shabby inside and the room was very spartan and small for the amount we paid - we were expecting a luxury resort hotel but it was more like a tacky Japanese downtown business hotel - not at all welcoming or tasteful.
Review 52:We had a nice view of the volcano through our (small) bedroom window!
Review 53:The location is in mountains and you'd better get a car to go there.
Review 54:Near the green river.
Review 55:if there was any japanese style room would be perfect
Review 56:very good service very good hot spring very comfortable
Review 57:Great sightseeing spots very close to the hotel. Hot spring.
Review 58:Room is smelly no curtain, too bright in the day time.
Review 59:nothing
