Review 1：Jago was verify friendly, helpful and gave us good advice. We had a superior double room with a large terrace on the top floor overlooking the sea. The room and hotel generally were very clean. Excellent location in Chianalea!

Review 3：Great location, beautiful sea-view from balcony. Beautiful, large room, spotlessly clean. For a small fee, a cart is available to transport you and luggage to hotel which is located at the bottom of many steps.

Review 4：We were traveling with 7 people for over two weeks with lots of luggage. Getting our luggage to the hotel was a challenge since you can't pull a vehicle up next to the building. The lack of direct access from a road proved challenging for the older relatives traveling with us, but the taxi services from the hotel helped to alleviate the problem. Breakfast offering could also be improved.

Review 5：The location was fantastic and the views from the room and the balcony were beautiful. This boutique B&B was very charming and the staff was extremely helpful, particularly when one of my children became ill and needed to see a doctor. The rooms were large and comfortable and amenities were more than adequate.

Review 6：- They charged us 8 euros for a parking that we couldn't use.... - The breakfast isn't good. No real coffee, no real juice... And everything seemed not so fresh.

Review 7：Hard to find and no one there to meet us, we had to telephone to access our room. Inaccessible by car, and lots of steps to access from the road above. The bathroom was extremely small, as was the shower door opening.

Review 15：The only drawback I would mention is the lack of a elevator but as the Duca di Uzeda is on the first floor this was not a major problem to us.

Review 16：We enjoyed our over night stay at Duca di Uzeda. This small boutique hotel is family run and provides a warm welcoming service and comfortable accommodation in a very central location. I was particularly impressed with my gluten-free breakfast choices which uniquely included delicious chocolate cakes! I would happily recommend this B&B.

For over 100 euros you should get an espresso for breakfast without paying extra (filter coffee available free if charge + some cake/cookies but no fruit/yogurt. Can't get there with car. Called the hotel to get directions and they offered to send someone (5 mins up the road), only date we discovered it was a moto taxi and you have to pay extra

Review 19：The place is fantastic and it's great value for money but it must be said that it is simply shameful in 2014 you can't pay by card in a hotel. They got the cash and I even had to ask for a receipt (same for all the guests whom I saw leaving on that day). Unacceptable.

Review 29：Unbelievably nice place, I'm already dreaming of returning. We got abeautiful and spacious room with sweeping views over the centro storicoof Chianalea di Scilla and the sea. Nice breakfast, free wifi, friendlyservice. Just perfect, we loved every minute of our stay. Note thatguarded parking costs €8 and is about 1 km away, but there is ample freeparking nearby.

Review 30：Although we had booked a room for 7 nights about a month in advance, the room was not ready when we arrived but we had to take a different room the first night. The morning after, they wanted us to move to their other hotel "La piccole grotte" which of course we did not want to because we'd chosen Locandiera. We had also been confirmed upon ordering that we would have both a sea view and balcony. Now, the balcony turned out to be only a French balcony that you could not sit on. After some arguing about what we ordered and what Locandiera really confirmed we got both a balcony and sea view, after being forced to talk to the manager on the phone. It seemed like they did not care about which hotel you booked but sent people at random between the two hotels by saying that it was the same, which of course it was not. When it was time to check out, it was suddenly not possible to pay the day before. It felt like a really complicated place to stay.
