Reviews for Hotel Marzia

Review 1:Beautiful small hotel, 5 minutes drive from highway; ideal for exploring Florence without hussle of driving to city center as it offers free secure parking and excellent connections to center by bus (right across the street) and tram. Also helpfull staff, very clean and nice room (stayed in classic).

Review 2:The furniture seemed a bit run down. Some remodelling wouldn't hurt.

Review 3:The bus stop is on the other side of the street so you can get to Florence easily . There's free parking within the hotel's yard. Breakfast was OK.

Review 4:the breakfast buffet is reasonable but to sweet for my taste.

Review 5:the free secured parking, the room comfort, the cleanness, the staff and breakfast. A much better option than the crazy hotel price in Firenze, with a bus stop 1 min walk from the hotel and a 35 min trip to Firenze centre with public transportation. Great hotel.

Review 6:Couldn't sleep because of noisy bed (metal frame generating squeaking sounds with every move). Noise from other guestrooms / slamming doors. Very spartan furnishing. Only Italian speaking personnel with barely attentive approach so much different from general Italians' friendly attitude.

Review 7:Relatively convenient location easily accessible from highway. Good public transport options to Firenze centre. Recommend to choose better "Classic" room for a small surcharge because of better bathroom. Modest but good breakfast.

Review 8:A man at a reception was always talking on the phone and did not pay any attention to me (a lady who was there the day before and the day after was very attentive and helpful).

Review 9:A good location in a suburb of Florence with a good link to the Florence centre (a bus + a tram). Not far from a highway. Has a private parking. Air conditioning.

Review 10:The center of Florence is a little bit far, but if you have a car, the're a lot of places near and outside of the center to park and take the tram. You can also walk to Villa Costanza about 15 min and take the tram, there is also a free parking there. A problem is also that none in Reception speak english, except a young girl if you are lucky.

Review 11:If you are travelling with your car or you manage to rent one and want to stay to a place with a safe(free) parking and nice rooms, i believe "Hotel Marzia" is a great place. We stayed for about 3 nights, room was not very big but clean.

Review 12:During our stay the weather was unusually cold for the end of May and there was no heating in the hotel as the central air conditioning was already switched to cold. This was a bit frustrating when leaving the shower, but it's not a big deal. Still a great hotel!

Review 13:The hotel is just by the highway so it's very easy to access by car. Even though the proximity to the highway it's pretty quiet. The access to the historic city center is easy by car/tram or bus/tram. The staff is polite and helpful and the breakfast is good.

Review 14:There are almost no equipment in the room, furniture was old. We hardly comunicated with the lady at the reception because she understood english somehow but was answering my questions in italian. I don't know if it was usual or not but there were a lot of tiny red bugs ouside of our window so we couldn't open the window.

Review 15:Breakfast and free parking

Review 16:The towels in the bathroom are like a linen table cloth along with beautiful ironed hand towels. There were extra pillows in the wardrobe which were wrapped in plastic. Warm room with heater. We would definatley stay again. Pizza restaurant across road excellent and Penny's supermarket down the street.

Review 17:- selection of breakfast could be a bit wider (eggs, etc) - no elevator

Review 18:+ price/qualtiy + although not close, the centre of Firenze can be easily reached. There is a bus stop accross the street and an excellent connection to tram T1 to the city centre. For just 1,20 euro you can take public transport to the centre. + quality of breakfast + free secure parking, large parking space + good size room

Review 19:We didn't like the neighborhood very much!however this was not a problem as the center was close to the hotel!

Review 20:Clean room, nice breakfast and only a few kilometres outside florence.a good choice for those who don't want stay in the center!

Review 21:Location is about 15min by car from florence city centre but nothing negative regarding hotel itself.

Review 22:Nice air conditioned rooms with balcony. Breakfast was good and free wifi and parking a plus.

Review 23:As an overnight stop driving through Italy, Hotel Marzia was ideal. Very close to the Autostrada with secure parking, and simple, but clean and comfortable rooms + a very good breakfast.

Review 51:Very nice hotel.Close to Florence, by car and bus/tram.Very helpful staff, very good value / budget. Quiet place even it is a few minutes from the highway.Good and tasty breakfast and sweets.Very good restaurant across the street.

Review 52:Friendly and English speaking personnel, nice surrowning, free and safe parking, beautiful internal yard with garden where you can have an evening or morning tea or a nap, large enough room and bathroom.

Review 53:Probably not the best location to visit Firenze

Review 54:Scandicci was a step on our way from Brussels to South of Italy. Perfect place for this kind of need : well located close to the highway, very confortable, modern and clean. Value for money

Review 55:WIFI was almost non exsistent since we were at the end of the hall way. We had to use our computer in the courtyard. The bed was comfortable but I think it was memory foam. Your body creates a dip in the mattress and it is hard to move.

Review 56:Close to Florence. Clean/large room. Good Pizzaria close by. Good breakfast. Private parking was nice also.

Review 57:Slight traffic noise from A1 motorway which is nearby and breakfast not exciting but acceptable

Review 58:Very friendly staff. Excellent facilities for overnight stay and quiet neighbourhood.

Review 59:When I came to the hotel ( May,11 at 17.30) the manager at the reception-desk looked at my ID card and said: ''I don't need your driver license!'' I explained him that it was an ID card and every hotel in EU accepted it ( I travel every month to different countries). He answered:''You may show it to the policemen in your country but not in our hotel. I need your travel passport''. I tried to explain him that ID card is an official document for all countries in EU. But he was looking at my document, grimaced with disgust and didn't want to hear me until I offered him to pay at once for my 2 night in the hotel. When I entered the room it was very hot there, the sun was shining straight to the window. It was 26°C outside, inside much more. I switched on the air-condition, 30 minutes passed, the air was still hot. I went to the reception and the asked the same manager why the air-condition didn't work. The answer was: May isn't summer month, air-condition works in summer only. I asked him to go to the room with me, he did it and confirmed that it was hot there, but didn't help me with air-condition. I had to open the window. Since the hotel is located in very noisy place, I could not sleep at night. I have to add to it that one half of the windows looks at the autobahn A1 ( it is less than in 100 m), another half looks at very busy street. To sleep with open windows is impossible. The hotel announces itself as pet-friendly. Don't believe it! I came to Florence to show one of my dogs on Sunday in the International dog show. In the morning I went to the reception-desk and asked the manager ( there was a new gentleman there) not to clean the room because my another dog had to stay there for about 4 hours from 8.30 to 12.30. I explained that the dog was calm and knew how to behave at the hotel ( we travel a lot with the dogs).
