Review 1：No one there when we arrived to let us in. Not given receipt for cash payment. Nowhere to park, and a long,hot uphill walk from rail station.

Review 3：No wifi in building, only at reception up the road. Had to pay for water in bottles in room in cash. Had to pay for entire booking in cash, (even after booking with visa card accepted). Room on top floor very hot, air conditioner extremely lame. Poorest "breakfast" experienced in Italy.

Review 7：We already knew about the lack of access by car, but our bags were kindly taken down for us. We were offered a balcony room in La Locandiera, room 8 instead. We took this, since had stayed at le Piccole Grotte before. A road further back, but higher, offering better overall views and a very good size balcony. Room was superb, good shower, lovely rustic decoration. Balcony was a very good size allowing us to relax, fridge also for cold drinks! Lift to the upper floors. Breakfast was downstairs Wifi was in lobby area only. Wish we had stayed longer. The new restaurant, Chianalea Panoramic, two doors to the right was really good, ate there both nights. Great staff and we wish them every success. Superb views.

Review 9：The host was really nice and went to pick us up directly in Scilla, since we had trouble finding the place. He gave us a room with sea view in La Locandiera instead of la Piccole Grotte (I think it is the same owner), but that's probably because we traveled in low season. Room was very nice, breakfast very good and not standard (which is great). The location is excellent, right in the core of the fisherman side of scilla, way better than the lungomare side. I definitely recommend this place.

Review 10：Steep steps make access very difficult certainely with a suitcase. Nopossibility of reaching the hotel by car. So those not fleet of foot orfit should give this hotel a miss. Breakfast very meagre although thedining room was stylishly decorated.Staff not available for check out.
