Reviews for Hotel Regina D'Arborea
Review 1:A very personal hotel, one of those gems that you really want to keep for itself to ensure that it is not fully booked when you return.Very personable and helpful staff.Really good breakfast for being in Italy served on selected porcelain. A place to yearn for
Review 2:The room was a bit small and there was no room to stack suitcases or to unpack them (no cupboard). Not really an issue, but parking space was hard to find (as always in a city-center)
Review 3:The location is excellent, right in the town center. The building yields a sense of history.
Review 4:The shower and toilet doors in the Sophia room could do with door handles
Review 5:Excellent breakfast Very hospitable staff and Roberto was friendly and helpful Excellent location
Review 6:A little dated. Could have had better instruction on where to park.
Review 7:Great location - right in the centre of town. You can't park there but there are car parks quite close. The rooms are amazing. The breakfast is good and in a lovely room. The town is fun to explore with some very good restaurants.
Review 8:Everything about it. The room was fantastic with a high domed ceiling with mural and three large windows overlooking the square. The furniture was antique but the shower, toilet and washrooms were very modern and clean. Breakfast was great with a large selection of good quality food (although not hot food). everything was served in antique crockery and glassware, which was lovely. The staff were excellent, helping with advice on parking and even sending on some clothing that we had left in a wardrobe. Service at breakfast was cheery and attentive. Location right on the square, near the museum and easy to drive to beaches. The town is quite small with a good atmosphere. No parking on site but nearby in the street.
Review 9:nothing!- would love if there was a small swimming pool on site to cool down during the hot days . Then it would be perfect!!
Review 10:Nice beds, lovely staff, attention to detail with breakfast presentation. The owner has put so much love and attention into this refurbishment it really shows. Sky movies , kettle in the room and a jacuzzi bath? What's not to like ! So relaxing and quiet!
Review 11:Nobiliary house conserved perfectly you feel you are in a palace, also furniture and breakfast tools are epoque. Helpful workers, all facilities, great location, I strongly recomend this place
Review 12:the hotel was the most beautiful hotel my husband and I have ever stayed in. We were there on our Honeymoon and we were treated like kings. The staff were lovely, friendly and could not do enough for us. We have booked for our first wedding anniversary next year.
Review 13:The location is right in the city center which is good for sightseeing but you cannot sleep with open windows because there is a lot of noise. At one night there was a cleaning car which was extremely noisy. Some people like me may be sensitive to this.
Review 14:Excellent Italian breakfast. The hotel and rooms are very authentic in the royal style so you live like in the museum which is quite romantic. Would recommend to surprise your second half.
Review 15:Car parking - the hotel is in a pedestrian zone and we were told by hitel staff we would be okay to park on the street near the Church-- the next day we had a €50 parking ticket!
Review 16:Great location! Lovely room, friendly staff and nice touches.
Review 17:The best there is in the very centre of Oristano. Friendly and very helpfull staff, authentic atmosphere, great breakfast, and all this in the heart of the city. Parking nearby.
Review 18:Nothing.
Review 19:Excellent service from all the staff, the breakfast in the lovely dinning hall was fresh and great. It's not a five star but better than many 5 star hotels!
Review 20:We were greeted by friendly staff. The room "Sophia" was beautiful with a circular ceiling painted with frescos. We had a semi circle balcony that opened on to a piazza near the centre. Parking nearby was nearby and was easy to find. Breakfast was generous and delicious. This hotel was a real treat.
Review 21:The staff were outstanding in their warmth and helpfulness, and the room and building were exceptional in both beauty and comfort. I thoroughly recommend this hotel to all travellers!
Review 22:Oristano was obviously once a beautiful town but it is now neglected and covered in bad graffiti. Food options are limited to cafes serving mediocre food.
Review 23:This hotel was a delightful surprise. Located on the second floor of a former grand home overlooking the statue of Eleanor. Room was large with beautiful painted ceilings. Bathroom modern and clean.
Review 24:An extremely elegant hotel with beautiful facilities and very helpful and friendly staff. I can't recommend it highly enough. One of the best hotels I've stayed in in Italy. Breakfast outstanding. It's a gem.
Review 25:The single bed at the loft of the triple room is quite hot and stuffy (in June) as the air conditioning could not reach it.
Review 26:The hotel staff were very friendly and provided excellent service.
Review 27:Our room overlooked the statue of Eleonora - surely the best location in Oristano. Staff were friendly and helpful to the extent Fransisca came in early to make us breakfast. The period style room was very stylish.
Review 28:nothing
Review 29:Everything, a very nice super authentic hotel. The rooms are unbelievable beautiful done with very much thought into details and love. Breakfast goes with regional products and silver cutlery. Definitivly not a "normal" but something very special. The stuff goes the extra mile and is more than friendly, without be being to much. Our special thanks to Robi for the nice night cap we had. We will come again definitivly! Thank you
Review 30:The centre of Oristano is difficult to access with a car. However, once we had located the hotel, the staff were able to direct us to free parking nearby.
Review 31:An elegant building , furnished in a traditional style, but comfortable and with good facilities.
Review 32:Nothing at all except lukewarm shower.
Review 33:Location, decor, friendly staff, great breakfast, beautiful bathroom.individual and personal , furnished with period furniture, art etc but with all mod cons.
Review 34:Horrible stay. First of all , booking advertized the property as 4 stars, while the hotel itself displaces 3 stars. This is a huge misrepresentation. Secondly, we booked a junior suit and instead received the worst room in the hotel. It was a small room with mismached antic pieces and no king size bed. the bathroom was tiny and not well appointed. Even the towels were stored on the small chair and there was absolutely no room for our toiletteries . the overhead shower did not work and so we could use only the handycaped small shower which you need to hold in your hand. there was not even a glass where to put our toothbrushes - we had to use a cup fro the room.....there was no internet in the room. when i finally got on line in the common area at 9;30 pm and saw that i was given a wrong room, the hotel argued that my room was junior suit and had a balcony ( it did not have it of course). they claimed that the one suit that i booked ( duplex), was already booked but showed me other rooms, which were nicer than others ( for sure it was not difficult) but we already settled - which pains me even more how incosiderate they were - we stayed one night and clearly it was not the high season so instead of offering us choices they put us in the worst room and thought that was the way to treat customers. our room was really a 2 star with the view of a service courtyard. Really if you charge that much , it must be worth it.
Review 35:the location is good, it is in the center of the town with easy walk to everything.
Review 36:A bit noisy-- our sleep was disrupted several times by people on the piazza below the room, and by church bells early in the morning.
Review 37:18 foot high frescoed ceilings Roberto is a great host and speaks fluent English Spacious room, good breakfast Great bike ride from the hotel to Torre Grande beach, Tharros ruins and back.
Review 38:Honestly can't think of one negative
Review 39:Should definitely feature under Boutique hotels category. Excellent location, very friendly staff going extra mile for you, rooms large with a view and very clean. Hotel foyer, dining room and guests rooms decor great, scrumptious breakfast. Definitely coming back. We have been to many hotels, but the unique mix and quality and ambiance in this one makes it our favorite. And no, we are not on their payroll :)
Review 40:Some more printed information would be helpful for guests (e.g. breakfast times, checkout time, and a sign for Reception!) but staff happily supplied the necessary information. Wifi is limited to the splendid drawing room owing to the thickness of the interior walls, but this makes the experience more sociable!
Review 41:Beautiful interiors, really friendly staff and perfect location. And I had a fabulous bathroom!
Review 42:Wifi was not working in our room, despite that add claims it is available in whole property. Balcony was not cleaned.
Review 43:The hotel is as impressive as in the photos on website or google maps. Spacious room, nice balcony, comfortable common area.
Review 44:The old world style & elegance of the hotel & the courteousness of the staff, particularly Brigette & Roberto.
Review 45:Nothing
Review 46:Beautiful decor, wonderful staff
Review 47:Just perfect. Marvellous room (Sophia). Great style.
Review 48:The hotel staff made our stay very pleasant
Review 49:A beautiful property with recently upgraded facilities. Staff very friendly. Location perfect in the centre of town.
Review 50:Hotel with few rooms in an old palace. Unforgettable hotel .
Review 51:This was like staying in a museum (without the red ropes). Absolutely loved it.
Review 52:Quirky layout of the room. The antique furniture and the delicious breakfast with typical Sardinian biscuits etc.
Review 53:This is a great place. By all means, stay here. And stay longer than initially planned. It really is that great.
Review 54:Nothing bad.
Review 55:Lovely staff, super breakfast, great location.
Review 56:The rooms were fantastic, very period, very original, good owner, good staff, excellent central location.
Review 57:wifi was unreliable
Review 58:Old world style
Review 59:The elegant ambience, the position overlooking the central square and statue of Eleonora D'Arborea, the availability of nearby parking.

Review 66:Excellent location, spacious and clean (bath)room, very friendly and helpful staff
Review 67:very good location
Review 68:Very Beautiful room, with a very Beautiful view, and with a very very Beautiful breakfast. You leave with a sense of Beauty.
Review 69:This is a beautiful hotel with lots of old or old style furniture. Lovely! And the breakfast is top class, not only for Italy!
Review 70:Absolutely superb!
Review 71:In junior suite the bathroom is located on the second floor - although it's really cool in its way/setting, it may be annoying to climb there in the middle of the night... Had a double room for elder kids and there the setting was usual/OK.
Review 72:Location (in the very heart of the old city), design (room decorations, high ceilings, attention to detail), staff attitude and helpfulness, breakfast (special request: gluten free), other services (restaurant booking, special requests). Basically everything. Good value for money.
Review 73:There wasn't a great deal to see in the City and limited restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. However we were travelling out of season so it may be different in the summer. It is a good location for seeing the beautiful beaches near by.
Review 74:Stunning rooms- very atmospheric.Lots of antiques and attention to detail. Just like staying in a small boutique hotel. Lovely.
Review 75:About the hotel absolutely Nothing! Oristano is not that big, so we would advice a maximum stay of 2 days.
Review 76:Beautiful hotel right at the prettiest piazza in the town, with gorgeous rooms! All the rooms almost have a royal appearence, beautiful classic furniture, silver platters, high ceilings combined with all modern comfort (like a modern bathroom with rainshower). The hostess is very friendly and will provide tea and coffee (with biscuits :)) if wanted. Car can be parked near the hotel, the hostess has a parking pass if needed. Oristano is a small town but has a good atmosphere, some shops and restaurants.
Review 77:Excellent location and friendly staff. Enjoyable to stay in a period home with beautiful furnishings. Location on the Square was great.
Review 78:super good and luxe hotel, very friendly receptionist.
Review 79:Location, atmosphere, service
Review 80:Breakfast WiFi Oristano is a rather insignificant town for a visit Overprized
Review 81:Boutique style Friendly staff In the heart of town
