Reviews for Hotel Perla

Review 1:The staff was very nice and pleasant. They went out of their way to help us in any way we needed. The place was very clean and the restaurant on-site had really good food.

Review 2:The continental breakfast consisted of burnt toast, jam, butter, coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. The orange juice was the best part.

Review 3:It was a clean and comfortable room right on the Malecon with access to restaurants and bars within walking distance. It also had a clean pool and the ocean was right across the street.

Review 4:Nothing bad to report.

Review 5:For one, they have THE BEST marguarita I have ever experienced. The room decor was a pleasant surprise - very 'art nuveau'. It was clean, comfortable, & the staff was exceptionally hospitable. You won't find anything like this in the states, especially at this price. I say - 2 thumbs up!!

Review 6:Nothing.

Review 7:Fabulous location with gorgeous view, large, simple comfortable rooms, really convenient good quality restaurant, all in the center of town. Never used our car.

Review 8:The included breakfast was worth virtually nothing. Complicated parking without obvious connection to the front desk.

Review 9:The view - marvelous view of the sea. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Very good value for the money A pool area high above our expectations Quiet rooms in spite of center of the city (no rooms close to the road) Easy check-in

Review 10:The location is superb. Covered parking is great. Hotel staff is always friendly and helpful. We have never had a room with just one bed, but the rooms with 2 are super large and are conducive to 4 people sharing a room with no problem. Extra table areas in the room make it nice for sitting and talking in room while others are getting ready.

Review 11:Get a room in the back... nice to have the view out the front but the noise from the strip will negate any sleep you hope to get.

Review 12:The staff were great and they took good care of us. Recommendations of restaurants were good and were very helpful in anything we needed

Review 13:It is a great location...love to walk on the malicon...the sunset is sonice to watch from the terrace...enjoy the hot tub before going tobed...the music in the resturant ....shops and points of interest nearby..will stay there again..it is one of the historic hotels which makesit unique...thanks perla

Review 14:It is pretty noisey, and the internet sucks, but otherwise a cool hotel.

Review 15:The staff at this hotel are top notch, any of them could be working at a 5 star hotel, they hustle and are professional. This old hotel has character, cant beat the location, and is very clean. Kids loved the playground and pool.

Review 16:Payment system was awkward, room key (card) malfunctioned once almost every day.

Review 17:Right on the malecon, with an open air restaurant right next to it serving hearty Mexican fair, seafood galore. An old hotel, up to today's standards. Very beautiful.

Review 18:Hotel Perla was close to everything. It has a gift shop and restaurant. A wonderful upper deck with a view of the water. The staff was amazing! I will plan to stay at Hotel Perla on my next visit!

Review 19:we live in Cabo, I was in the states but my wife went through it alone. She was scared but OK. I finally got a flight to La Paz where she picked me up and we spent a much needed night together. The Hotel Perla staff and accommodations were outstanding. I will stay there again and would recommend anyone else to stay there.

Review 20:I saw the sign that said "ask the front desk for your coupons for breakfast in our restaurant" as I was checking out...maybe the front desk staff could make an effort to mention this at check-in--

Review 21:excellent attention from staff great location beautiful ocean views clean and cheerful decor fridge+tv+drinking water+closet+dresser+wifi all in room= super convenient!

Review 22:Only had bath towels...no face cloth or hand towels.

Review 23:Location, location, location. The desk staff were excellent and helpful.

Review 36:Service in the restaurant could be improved,

Review 37:Location, pool, retro feel to the hotel, breakfast coupons.on site parking. View from the dining room.

Review 38:Stay at La Perla 4 or 5 times a year. Have never had a bad experience.

Review 39:There was a terrible sewer like smell in the hall and room. Small room and shower. Would have been nice 3 star but for sewer and very small room.

Review 40:Rooms are small Bathrooms are small everything is outdated including the A/C Lobby is extreemly hot.

Review 41:Location only.

Review 42:Hotel is in need of updating, rather basic and old now, especially for a supposed 3 star rating.

Review 43:Location, friendliness of staff, history of hotel, cute restaurant downstairs.

Review 44:Love the location, right on the malecon, overlooking the bay. restaurant was good also overlooking the street and malecon food and service great...Good music Will stay here next time in La Paz..

Review 45:The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The location was dreamy, such a beautiful place right on the water. We were there for carnaval which was totally loud and totally fun.

Review 46:Room was very very noisy next to a machine that clinked clunked verylaud all night people in the halls voices echoed which made it doublelaud like yelling, sheets were scratchy bed uncomofortable hotelstaff rude told me the other room was just as noisy the furniture waswhat could be had for 1 buck at a tag sale room was big but furniturevery cheap would never stay there again in fact im going to their website and write a review did not get any sleep so glad I only stayedthere one night

Review 47:Pillows were hard. Might be a bit noisey.

Review 48:Great location, right on the Malecon. Fantastic view from rooftop deck, nice pool, clean rooms. Helpful staff.

Review 49:Despite continuous daily complaints about the WiFi not working, the staff continued to act surprised and doubtful when guests reported problems. The hotel counts on the fact that most guests will never return and therefore chooses to ignore the fact that the promised WiFi only works 50% of the time (at best) while their pay-per-minute computers in the lobby are always available.

Review 50:The hotel was perfectly situated along the cost and in the middle of the city center. The hotel's parking service was quite convenient and efficient. Also, since we had a toddler, the playground was a real bonus.

Review 51:Not much really. We knew in advance it was going to be a older hotel but we enjoyed our stay there.

Review 52:It was a very quaint older hotel that has been well maintained. We loved the location across the street from the beach and right on the Malecon. Close to shops and restaurants

Review 53:It was confusing to get to Perla, the road was blocked off so we drovearound in circles trying to get to the front, I eventually ran in andasked the guy at the front desk but he couldn't help me so I askedone of the traffic police for help. The language barrier was a bit of aproblem, I speak little Spanish and the people at the front desk spokelittle English. I cut my hand on the door of the shower and called for afirst aid kit and they couldn't understand what we were asking for, then we tried asking for a bandaid and they brought us a cot. Ieventually went down to get the first aid kit and show them my cut andthey had minimal supplies, they didnt have any band aids.

Review 54:Good location, lots of ammenities, staff were prompt in helping us

Review 55:The hotel is old (built in 1940) and dated.

Review 56:The location can't be beat. It is right on the malecon and an easy walk to numerous great restaurants. The front desk staff and valet attendants were very helpful.

Review 57:Could not find our reservation They gave us queen beds at first when we had reserved king The rooms were small The airconditioning blew right on us

Review 58:Good location downtown Valet parking Nice looking pool Nice rooftop deck for catching sun and viewing sunset

Review 59:We do not speak Spanish and we found your staff limited in their ability to understand English. It took us about 30 minutes to check in and we did this twice. Getting information was hard.

Review 60:The location is ideal for seeing the area. We kayaked for 4 days around Isla Espiritu Santo and then spend a couple of days touring the Town. Nice restaurants and good shopping.

Review 61:wifi was very slow

Review 62:Good location right on the Malecon, rooms are good and clean. Breakfast included was only a continental breakfast
