Reviews for Relais Palazzo Magi
Review 1:Sophia, the manager, was friendly, engaging, and a real wonder. Located near the Municipal museum and the Duomo. Free parking and near good restaurants.
Review 2:Charming hotel in the middle of Sansepulcro's old city. It doesn't feel like a tourist town, but like a contemporary, living, breathing real community. And of course it was home in the 15th century to Piero della Francesca, one of the greatest painters who ever lived. Some of his best paintings there are what brought us to this town. It was a lot of fun to stay in this unique hotel which has trompe l'oeil painting on the walls. There is an unusual communal space on each level (including a pool table on one floor). In the morning there was a full-on array of home-made breakfast pastries and mind-blowing fresh organic juices, plus all the cappuccinos we wanted. Relais Palazzo Magi offered the most generous hospitality of any hotel I've ever encountered. While my husband waited in the lobby with the luggage, the manager of the hotel left her desk and drove with me to park my car in a free public lot nearby. While parking I grazed a curb, which consisted of stones with extremely sharp edges, and I got a flat tire. She said, Never mind, I'll change the tire for you myself. And she did, the next day, while her two-year old looked on. What a woman! And the restaurants she recommended were world class. She made eating well easy. Check out Osteria il Giardino di Piero. The hotel, the food and the manager were extraordinary.
Review 3:If you are on the street side of the absolute quiet pedestrian street you can have the early morning noise of the cleaning truck of the municipality and/or the market twice a week.
Review 4:Do not expect a lot of luxury but instead you get loads of charm in this old palazzo in the centro storico. The lady owner is absolutely wonderful and let you feel as if you are family. The staff is super friendly. On the breakfast buffet lovely cake made by the owner. The old center of Sancrepolco has a lot of high quality shops and good restaurants.
Review 5:Absolutely nothing!
Review 6:Everything! I loved my time here This elegant hotel is in the centre of the historic town. It is tastefully refurbished so the experience matches the title of a palace! I had a huge room with comfortable bed, full lounge suite, great storage facilities. Bathroom with spa bath and bidet and a real hair drier not a fan attached to the wall! . Best of all the hospitality was so warm and helpful. Sofia even drove me to Montecasale and then collected me after my visit. Felt like a friend not a visitor.
Review 7:Room / bathroom cleaning could have been more thorough; provision of previously used shampoo and shower gel bottles was poor, especially given the price of the room. In need of some modernisation.
Review 8:Very old and grand palazzo in the centre of Sansepolcro. Staff refined, very friendly and helpful. If you like staying in antique buildings, this is for you
Review 9:Wifi not working well and no air condition in the room. Bed could have been more comfortable.
Review 10:Nice family driven hotel with the design and atmosphere of the old historic centre of Sansepolcro. Good breakfast.
Review 11:Didn't dislike anything although I found the shelving in the bathroom difficult to reach as I'm rather short!
Review 12:Very helpful staff, great ambiance, ideal location.
Review 13:The main reason for the visit was to see the 'Resurrection' fresco but it is undergoing a major restoration which will be completed in 2017. I would have liked to have been told this but in all the websites there was no information at all. Also some information about public transport would have been very helpful
Review 14:A very easy place to stay and see - once you get there by public transport!
Review 15:Can't say anything bad about this restaurant. Perhaps a little more fresh fruit at breakfast? But the coffees made up for it!
Review 16:Great service, beautiful room, and huge! Perfect,y located in the centre of the historic town. Wifi worked perfect,y, and was fast, but from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated very specially.
Review 17:All the local restaurants were booked when we arrived because it was Valentine's Day and we couldn't get a reservation. So the proprietor added us to a party at the hotel and cooked a lovely gourmet meal -taking responsibility and going out of her way when it wasn't expected. A real treat!! ar
Review 18:Nothing. We just love Sansepolcro and finding the Palazzo Magi is the icing on the cake
Review 19:Have visited Sansepolcro many times, having friends there, and have stayed at other hotels in the town. In truth the other hotels were full when booking for this visit. Now however there is only one place we will stay on future visits - the Relais Palazzo Magi. The location is second to none being right in the heart of town, breakfast superb and Sophia and her staff charming hosts. Ten out of ten in every respect
Review 20:Nothing we didn't like but facilities for making hot drinks would be wonderful.
Review 21:Size of room. Friendliness an helpfulness of staff. Comfort of beds. Bathroom. Building. Convenience of location. Ambience
Review 22:It will not take you long to see all the sights of Sansepolcro, even if you spend an hour looking at the Piero della Francesca.
Review 23:Good hotel, a short walk from everything in Sansepolcro, including sights and restaurants. Had to leave car in free car park outside the wall, but it's only 10 minutes walk.
Review 24:Not much soun proofing. Needs some soft furnishing to absorb the noise.
Review 25:Right in the town centre and. Dry convenient when the festival was on.
Review 26:Town center location. Close to a number of restaurants and shops. Very helpfull friendly manager

Review 35:Very large, elegantly decorated room. We were made to feel very welcome.
Review 36:Superb cakes for breakfast!
Review 37:No garden or outside space to relax in Needs an additional armchair in the room Only fair value for money
Review 38:Large room Location Dependable wifi
Review 39:We got in tired but left feeling very pampered. And there was the festival! Dinner recommendations were excellent.
Review 40:Breakfast a bit frugal
Review 41:basic comfort in great location in town. Helpful staff
Review 42:Would have been good to have a bar in the evenings, but lots of small hotels don't have.
Review 43:It had a superb location right on the main (mostly traffic free) narrow street of this small town. There was a great restaurant nearby where we had some excellent food.
Review 44:The lock on my door was very tricky to lock and unlock.
Review 45:Staff were helpful and energetic. The location is very central in the old town, and the Relais has been beautifully renovated, has a real feeling of living in an old palazzo. Excellent breakfast, beautifully presented.
Review 46:Difficult to find, no signs. We arrived by car at the medieval gate only 200 metres from the hotel, and although there were signs for other hotels, there was no sign for our hotel.
Review 47:Nice big frescoed room, and very helpful, kind staff.
Review 48:Can't think of anything.
Review 49:We loved Sansepolcro and the Palazzo Magi was terrific. The rooms are huge and the bathrooms luxurious. There are several large public spaces in the Palazzo, including one with a pool room. We were traveling with friends and the large spaces enabled us to socialize with our friends - shooting pool and playing card. The location of the palazzo is inside the old walls of the town and one immediately becomes part of the community by taking the evening passaggietto that's going on right out the front door. Best of all, Sophia was personable and helpful in every way possible. We highly recommend the Sansepolcro and the Palazzo Magi.
Review 50:A hotel with a lot of character, quiet but still in the centre of the town, in an old palace with many nice murals painted on the walls. Clean, spacious, relatively comfortable rooms. Very nice/helpful personel, relatively good breafast. Very good value for the price.
Review 51:Be aware that staff are not always present, particularly overnight.
Review 52:Good location for this pretty little town
Review 53:No mirror near to hair dryer. Expensive not even complimentary water. No coffee/tea making facilities
Review 54:Right in the centre of town. Friendly staff.
