Reviews for Albergo Di Murlo

Review 1:The staff - the family that runs the albergo us one of the kindest, most helpful that you will find anywhere. My wife and I recently stayed 3 nights at the hotel and were treated as if we were family during our stay. As a traveller in a foreign country, it was so nice to have people willing to go out of their way to suggest things for us to do the day that it rained. We both cabt speak higher about them! As a plus, they all speak perfect english in case your italian is a little rusty! Location - the hotel is located in a beautiful small town in tuscany and only a short walk to one of the most important etruscan sites and museums in italy. The old walled town that is also walkable is besutiful! The food- the food is all cooked in-house by the grandmother who makes the best cinghaile (wild boar) that we had in tuscany. Also highly recommended is the ribollita, the cacio e pepe, and the homemade desserts! The pool- the hotel has a pool that's almost Olympic sized! It doesn't get better than waking up in tuscany and getting a few laps in before having your cappuccino and venturing out for the day!

Review 2:I needed some down time and this was the perfect place. My other mistake was leaving on a Sunday because there is not any service to Siena. It was a 50euro cab fare! Love he family owners. Restaurant nice menu and breakfast in the morning was sufficient for me, but I'm not picky!

Review 3:in the village

Review 4:stuff, swimming pool, quiet, view

Review 5:Nothing

Review 6:everything

Review 7:The room was very small. The breakfast was very, very poor.

Review 8:Location is very nice. Convenient for visiting Cinque Terre if you travel by car. The staff is very nice, supportive and kind.

Review 9:We like the hospitality and the willingness of GianMarco (the guy in front desk) to supply us with needed info around the area. Friendly staff, breakfast is good and a quiet place to relax after a long day out. Thank you, if time comes, we would surely come back.

Review 10:Bathrooms in Main building are small

Review 11:Family owned, great kitchen close to Montalcino,Siena, and an aesy daytrip to Chianti Classico, San Giminiano, and Assisi and Perugia in Umbria

Review 12:Rooms were just ok. big enough but not very clean, despite they were not dirty indeed. Wi-fi did not work, but could use they pc. Swimming pool was as 'clean' as rooms

Review 13:Note to other european travellers - the electric outlets are small in number and only the small sized pins can be used, take adapters from thicker pins to the small ones if you need them - this though is typical to most italian hotel.

Review 14:The room was clean and relatively spacious. There was free wifi (yet with weak signal it did not work in the room almost at all, we had to use the seat on the stairway instead), the swimming pool was also included in price which was really nice. The shower was quite small and cramped, yet clean. The hotel is located "in the middle" of nowhere while it was not a big problem as we travelled by car, the trip to Siena took some 20 minutes. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to others.

Review 15:Public transportation sporadic and not reliable. Should have rented a car.

Review 16:Just a nice relaxing place to hang out for a few days.

Review 17:The shower was a bit small.

Review 18:Friendliness of the staff. Genuine feeling of welcome. Family-run business made it very personable and helpful.

Review 19:Very helpful staff. We had dinner twice: it was very good and service was fast.
