Reviews for Kirishima Kanko Hotel

Review 1:Central heating was too hot for kids to sleep, for us it was ok. Bit old building and facilities, need renovation

Review 2:Fantastic spread for dinner, ate like a king ! Great Onsens. One outdoor and one on the top floor with a great view.

Review 3:The access si an issue. I feeling so bad,i found for free pick up service on the hotel official website, but we are very sorry that they replied none.

Review 4:The scenery is good.

Review 5:The bathroom a bit run down and small. Overall the room and other places in the hotel could be cleaner (though not dirty). Staff is nice but only a few could understand English.

Review 6:Good breakfast, lots of food choices. Room rate is relatively competitive.

Review 7:Not many staff spoke English, making it very frustrating every time we had questions they had to get a particulat staff to talk to us. The hotel's certain design features make it quite inconvenient for guests at times: onsen baths are not conveniently located, as the outdoor baths are located very inconveniently at the hotel's far end and far from the indoor baths, while the indoor baths are not convenient for guests living in the north wing; the elevator for north wing is located on mezzanine floor which means guests need to bring heavy suitcases walking up / down the stairs.

Review 8:A very comfortable hotel for onsen lovers: a grand lobby, spacious room, large public onsen baths with great views, and a sumptuous good-quaility multi-course Japanese dinner included in the reasonable half-board price. The hotel is located amidst a peaceful n beautiful surrounding.

Review 9:I stay in southern block and I need to take my baggages upstairs to the lobby. staffs there are not as friendly as most of the Japanese. It is below the standard of services in Japan. I reserved the private onsen at 7:00p.m., but no staff was going to open the door, they were expecting me to go to the lobby to take the key.

Review 10:Private onsen is nice and with low price.

Review 11:They had a bathroom in the room but all the toilet facilities were old as such the water that came out of the shower had a rusty smell.

Review 12:A very nice and comfortable hotel.

Review 13:Some food in dinner was not hot enough, may be prepared quite early before our reserved dinner time.

Review 14:spacious room

Review 15:no

Review 16:Great hotel with perfect holiday

Review 17:difficult to reach with public transport

Review 18:Perfect location to go hiking! Food good but Japanse.

Review 19:sehr schöne Onsen (nach Geschlechtern getrennt) Nähe zur Stadt/Restaurants und Wanderwegen Personal sehr hilfsbereit

Review 20:location .. on the way to hotel .. the road was too dark & too many curves ... very scary and dangerous

Review 21:outdoor spa bath & room

Review 22:The in room bathroom was a bit old and rusty

Review 23:Close to mountain range Nice view and private Onsen ;)

Review 24:WATER WITH STRANGE SMELL. inconvenient to access onsen from north wing.

Review 25:NICE ONSEN BIG ROOM NICE BREAKFAST

Review 26:bathroom in room quite old

Review 27:offer private onsen..suite for families big room

Review 28:comfortable hotel

Review 29:Great breakfast, comfortable beds, clean and large room, large public bath, footbath outside of hotel, a feeling of elegance about the property, large check-in lobby with a high ceiling

Review 30:Despite having booked a non-smoking room, it nastily smelled of tabac. After claiming this, however, we could swiftly move to another room which was ok.

Review 31:Splendid location with a view towards Kagoshima bay and Mt. Sakurajima. Excellent breakfast buffet, several spas (including internal one), spacious rooms. We took the modern Japanese room option with breakfast, which was of optimal value.
