Reviews for Ichifuji Hotel

Review 1:Onsen water not warm enough, no food services, signs of age. Some staff not helpful at all.

Review 2:Confortable room, confortable futon, view from the room was superb.

Review 3:Welcoming and pleasant staff. 3 onsen in the hotel (with different schedules for women and men). Good location, with 10 min walk from the "Ikaho onsen" bus station and less than 5 min walk from the "bus terminal" station. Then, very close to the stone steps.

Review 4:The hotel is quite old (furniture etc) but perfectly clean. We had some difficulties with the language barrier but the next time, we'll learn Japanese better! I promise! :)

Review 5:Our room was with an amazing view and we slept so good on tatami and futon that we was letteraly unable to wake up the morning after. The room was very large (12 tatami minimum) and offered all the confort of a home. The owner made a tea for us as welcome rite and they gave us toothbrush, toothpaste, towels and yukata so we could fully relaxe and enjyoed the stay. There is hot spring inside the hotel with at least five different pools divided into three different areas (used by man, women and mixed but it depends on the situation). Thank you a lot for your hospitality! Ikaho is a beautiful place!

Review 6:Hot water in room didn't work, not sure how to use the AC either, view from window partially blocked by a rail when seated

Review 7:Nice sized room, good shared bath area

Review 8:The facilities are so old (30+ years under my estimate, the owner should refurbish his premise section by section, possibly floor by floor. Then, do marketing strategy with attractive & a variety of promotions to gain back customer base. Online translation either by text or voice is a must because reception has no English profiency. Japnasese hospitality with their culture is a real touch even if such above drawbacks.

Review 9:Hotel was kind of run-down... Not exactly walking distance from sightseeing attractions, and if you can't arrange for the Japanese style dinner there are no local restaurants nearby. We took a 2400 yen cab each way to a great restaurant, but that added extra cost.

Review 10:Friendly staff and great local food for breakfast.

Review 11:Overwhelming hospitality, much friendliness, traditional Japanese setting, has its own onsen

Review 12:can't use credit card for room fee...
