Reviews for Residenza D'epoca 1861
Review 1:Next to the hotel is a bar that in the evening/night can be very noisy and attracts a lot of people drinking and laughing at the boulevard. When you close the windows at night it's OK.
Review 2:Very large spacious rooms in an old building with a wonderful sea view. The sea is literally a couple of meters away. The only thing between the hotel and the sea is the car free boulevard (loading and unloading of luggage is possible). There is a guarded car-parking in the village (€10,--/day and 5 minutes walking). The sunset, exactly between the Sorrento peninsula and Capri is breathtaking. About 50 meters from the hotel there are nice sandy beaches with "lettini and ombrellone". The hotel has a deal with Lido Azzurro (€12,-- a day for 2 stretchers and an umbrella). Lovely lunch at that beach too. Up on the hill lies the medieval Castellabate itself. It's worth the trip: about an hour uphill walking and about 5 to 10 minters by car.
Review 3:Noisy bar and locals gathering at night.Seemed to be the focal point for the area. Not surprising in view of the location. Did not let it spoil our visit!!!! Ear plugs can do wonders.
Review 4:Lovely suite with balcony overlooking the sea. Beautiful sunsets. Great friendly staff.Excellent location for beach and restaurants.
Review 5:We enjoyed everything about Residenza d'Epoca. Wonderful sea views, lovely clean beaches close by. Plenty of restaurants in town, many specialising in great pizza and seafood. Easy to visit Paestum by local bus. Monica and Carlo went out of their way to answer our questions and their friendly welcome made our trip very special. We will definitely return.
Review 6:Nothing at all.
Review 7:Absolultely everything. Location, views of ocean and within walking distance to restaurants, bars and beach. Monica was so welcoming and a delight who genuinely loves people and can't do enough for you.
Review 8:Only bad point was that whilst location was amazing...it was onpromenade with a few bars nearby, with loud music. Major headache wasyoungsters "drumming" on bongo drums and beat box until wellinto early hours...NIGHTMARE.
Review 9:Friendliness of staff, cleanliness, building
Review 10:It is difficult to find this hotel as it is surrounded by pedestrian and one way streets. Get details directions before arriving, google maps couldn't help!

Review 18:Noisy at night (23:00-02:30)because of the neighbouring bar.
