Review 1：Wifi was terrible. Room door took multiple times to lock. Overall not a bad place to stay however a bit expensive for what you got.

Review 6：Aktea is up a hill, away from the port. I wouldn't stay here again,but it was convenient for my conference. The staff at breakfast weregreat. The reception staff seemed extremely irritated every time I askeda question. The air conditioning was spotty at best.

Review 11：We totally loved Hotel Aktea. At 5 months pregnant, it was calm, peaceful, the staff could not have been more helpful and the whole site is beautiful. We spent nearly all our time relaxing by the lovely pool. Breakfast was also excellent. We want to go back!

Review 21：I didn't like that the pool was over 5 ft deep. I'm a non swimmer and I like to wade around in a pool. The breakfast was very basic with no hot food. Breakfast was cleared away before people were finished.The staff for the pool/dining area weren't very friendly.

Review 22：The location of hotel was close to Main Street in walking distance to restaurants. The property is gorgeous. The room was beautiful, with large terrace, modern bathroom, comfortable bed. Grounds are beautifully landscaped and pool is large and clean.

Review 25：The staff at Hotel Aktea were first rate. They spoke english very well and were extremely friendly and helpful. When we asked for the ferry timetables to Milazzo, they quickly printed them out. Also, on the day we checked out early, they provided us coffee and croissants even though breakfast had not yet opened. The morning breakfasts were outstanding. The bakery goods were freshly made with a variety of choices. The hotel room was large and had a lovely balcony. The hotel is nicely laid-out with a beautiful pool area, and is not far from the ferry terminal. We would definitely return.

Review 35：Hotel Aktea is, first of all, beautiful and designed amazingly well. The room and bathroom had a perfectly Mediterranean feel and we were extremely comfortable. The manager(s) were all friendly and helpful and clearly wished for us to enjoy ourselves completely.

Room flooring was really nice, the bed was good and the terrace was good as well. Breakfast was OK. The swimming pool is great, so is the garden.

Review 42：Currently the WiFi only stretches to the reception area and swimmingpool and does not extend the the bedrooms which can be a real practicalproblem if one is coming on business.The restaurant tries reasonably to offer different Sicilan dishes to those found in the ordinary Pizzeria and has a good choice of bottled wines, but does not always succeed in providing a good choice of dishes. For example mixed fish dishes without containing any shell fish in Sicily is something of an underachievement! The deserts are totally lacking in flair and originality- aimed at the corporate lunch- the 3 dourse meal however is a fixed price which can be good and convenient for families on a budget.

Free transfer to and from the ferry port, freetransfer dailly to the local free public beach at your chosen timeswhere you can optionally catch the beach ferry service to other privatebeaches or use the local private beach. Hugely comfortable bedroomswith shower and unexpected hydropool. Full breakfasts. Fantasticswimming pool ideal if you need to escape the ultraviolet rays from thelocal beaches.Aktea provides an exclusive relaxing retreat away from the crowds in the centre of Lipari. Its restaurant provides a competitively priced three course meal and good wine in an exclusive relaxed atmosphere. The menu is varied daily and the chef tries to be different from some of the cheaper end restaurants in town. This does not always succeed. I look forwartd to staying again at Aktea for all other reasons.

Review 45：The staff was very hlepful and very friendly. Concetta was one of the nicest and helpful front desk people I have ever met. She made me feel welcome and answered all my questions upon arrival. The rest of the staff were also as helpful but I didn't get their names. Each one went out their way to make me feel comfortable as this was my first trip to Lipari. The hotel is beautiful, has a magnificent pool and all the finishes are top-notch. Great breakfast choices. Super clean rooms that have fantastic finishes. A superb value for the money. Pickup and dropoff to ferry was included. The driver was ready to take me to the dock on my departure day and I was not even expecting it! I would stay here each and everytime I visit Lipari. This hotel was one of the best I have ever stayed in. I was raving about it to my travel companions that chose to stay in the town a few mins walk away. The pool area was well maintained and welcoming.

Margarita at the front desk was especially helpful and very good to our young boys. The pool was very clean and had a great baby pool that was perfect for younger children. The rooms were very spacious and clean. This is a great place to stay with a family, and we would love to come back again!

Review 52：The hotel is close to the port and main street of Lipari, so you can reach restaurants and shops in max 10 minutes walk from the hotel. On arrival and departure they provide us anyway with shuttle to the port. The hotel room, with amazing sea view, had enough space, luxury bathroom and balcony. Very nice and big outdoor pool. The staff at reception was always very helpful and good mood.
