Review 1：Hotel finishes are very dated and needs to be modernised. Not much has changed since we've been there more than 15 years ago.

Review 3：No bathroom extras - shaving kit, toothbrush and the like. Pretty standard stuff for a hotel that sets itself out as having 4 starts.

Review 4：The rooms are nothing to write home about. Very plain and functional; however very clean. Lots of stained pine which is now very old fashioned and dated. Stunning view from balcony over valler and sea.

Review 5：Room was noisy in the morning with trucks stopping under balcony. door was weired to lock and had to hassle to close curtains and go out of room in order not to leave my belongings visible.

Review 10：This is one hotel which we have been visiting for a long time now. It has retained its unique character, exquisite charm, friendly staff and Gozitan atmosphere ... very rare to find in these 'fast-paced' days! Thank you Cornupcopia ... so many pleasant memories!

Review 11：The bar staff were keen to finish early meaning the bar was closed if you were out in the main part of town and returned after 10.pm. The location is a 10 minute walk into the main square.

Review 22：Layout of hotel is great, Rooms spread out so peaceful, nice balcony and view. Very secluded. Good breakfast, fresh Bread and croissants, fresh fruit and English breakfast.

Review 23：The airconditioning system was very poor - initially I thought because the temperature was very hot but when I was describing my stay with my friends at work they commented that they visited same hotel some 5 years ago and had the same conditon. Furthermore I am coelic and the only serving I was offered was some white bread; no cakes - take it or leave it:(

Review 30：If you wish to have a relax in a luxury 4* hotel that is a perfect place for you to stay! 3 swimming pools and jacuzzi in a beautiful green patio; spacious big luxury rooms with all necessary and additional facilities.Room service available and good price, the same as mini bar. Cleanliness was so surprisingly good that we have had a thought we have never stayed in such clean hotel. Staff very kind and the level of service was almost like in The Ritz Hotel. Breakfast with full choice of menu, english dishes and the continental ones. Restaurant and bar open the whole day, possibility to eat from grill in the courtyard. There was no option of double bed, but they have prepared two combined in such a good way that we have not felt the difference. Location in a quiet small city, but with few local restaurants and shops. Close to Victoria and the Ramla Bay by public transport. To sum up: an idyll in the middle of nowhere. Definitely recommended place to stay and it is worth paying a little extra.

Review 32：This was a very pleasant experience. The hotel has character which I liked, not corporate at all, and the staff were very helpful. It is also in a nice location of Xaghra. The room was also very comfortable. Next time I might try the bungalows just to try something different.

Review 119：We went down for breakfast,only two or three tables where taken.We decided to sit on a table of 4,as it was in the sun.Just near us,an english couple where also sitting on a table of four.The waitress came up,she told us,you are only 2,why did sit on a table of 4?We told her as nearly all the room was empty,we didnt think it matters,and that there was even two people on the other side of the room sitting in a table of 12.She told thats because they are a large group.We had already tea on the table,but we told its not a problem we will move,she then told us stay.The thing that bothered us most was that she told nothing to the english couple,only to us maybe because we where maltese.The room remained empty till we had breakfast and left,but that didnt ruin our 25th anniversary breakfast.

Review 122：Male staff and the man calling himself the manager was very unprofessional (younger women staff more competent).Pool maintenance guys started shouting outside our rooms at 7.30am and continued to make noise - oblivious to the fact they were working in a hotel with guests asleep and the poor management did nothing to control these workmen. Loud music played below our room until 11pm - the manager refused to turn it down or do anything to increase our comfort - rolling his eyes at me when I complained. These guys are amateurs and I suspect this hotel will go bust. Poor breakfast - eg no fruit only very basic - not up to the supposed standard for the money paid- VERY poor value for money Note that the positive reviews on this website for this hotel are locals
