Review 1：The Wi-Fi only in public areas - but that was about it!

Review 2：The location - right next to the jetty where the ferry docks (as the only way to get to the island a massive bonus). But still quiet and right on the edge of town.

Review 3：Great location, a short walk from the dock and main street. Charming old house with family memorabilia. Sizable room, up-to-date amenities, lovely view, friendly staff.

Review 5：No wifi in the room. Breakfast was poor value for money (my package didn't include, and it cost E10 to buy, and no good (canned fruit for instance!). Couldn't get a cup on tea when I rang room service on Sunday afternoon as safe member didn't know how to get hot water. Generally staff were not clear about their jobs, and slow to react to any questions at front desk

Review 13：Our room was right at the back, the plants were overgrown and we had no natural light. Had to go through a jungle to get back at night! Shower was hot, but weak. Thin walls!

Review 14：Come off the boat, take a left onto the main street, and then first right. So easy with luggage! Off the main street so without noise. Great villa feel to it. Spacious and clean, felt like your own mini retreat. 24 hour manned reception with lots of information. Free Wi-Fi in public areas.

Review 15：We were given a room that did not match the description we got when we booked it. It was much smaller than promised. The bathroom was so small you could only make one step inside and turn around and get out. The view was on a noisy street and on the Lipari's cemetery. When we complained about the room, we were given the usual lousy excuse of the hotel being fully booked. Then we noticed that there were still rooms available for booking on the internet. We had to put their lie in the their own faces to get a better room. Two hours lost because of that attitude.

Review 16：We arrived earlier than check in time, and requested if we could check into our room 10 mins early as we had a tour boat to catch. The receptionist pretty much said no, and did not make a call to the cleaner to prioritise our room for cleaning. Room was very basic. Bathroom had no screen, so water from the shower went on the toilet and around the toilet on the floor.

Review 18：I do not recommend to stay at this hotel (in particular during high season). Although it was supposed to be the nicest hotel of our trip in Sicily (because the most expensive), it turned out to the worst: the lady at the reception was very unpleasant, our room had a door going into the bathroom of our neighbours.... and there was no swimming-pool although it claimed to have one.... A big disappointment...

Review 19：One of the night porters was extremely unfriendly when I wanted to get something for my friends from my room at 11 pm. He wouldn't let them in. Stuff cannot speak English which made the whole situation even harder to resolve. Breakfast buffet is half empty although still more than an hour to go and mediocre quality. Fountain in the garden is a reservoir for nasty mosquito.

Review 22：The room was spacious and very clean. The air conditioning worked very well and we were very surprised that there are so many amenities offered on-site (spa, sauna, two garden terraces).

Review 23：I don't recomend this hotel, because if you book it via booking.com, you will not get the room in the picture. You will get the room which will be available at the moment. In our case there explanation was that the picture in booking.com is only symbolic. We often using booking.com and we always get what we pay!

Reception, main hall and veranda-style garden (with WiFi) are very nice, and the hotel has both a wellness center and a nice and well furnished terrace. Members of staff were very friendly. The room (on the top floor) was on the small side, but very clean. Great value.

Review 29：This hotel is absolutely wonderful, the location is fantastic as soon as you get off the boat its a half a minute walk in a side street just off the main shopping, restaurant and night life.. The hotel itself has a very tropical peaceful atmosphere, and there are also rooms available in the garden area which is gorgeous, fountains and tropical feel. The staff here have been very helpful with any request I had. There's a gym, wellness centre and many facilities. Great value for money, rooms are very clean, WiFi works in large main undercover verandah style sitting area. Cooling is available in rooms as well as small refrigerator which is great for summer and came in handy. Free use of computer room, free photocopying, faxing etc.. Overall an absolutely wonderful, peaceful and welcoming hotel, great value for money, highly recommended!

Review 61：We stayed 2 nights in Villa Augustus and loved it. We were initially given a room in the patio but on request (and at a small fee) we changed to a room on the top floor with a terrace. Definitely a great move. It had a private terrace that led onto a common terrace, what a beautiful room! It was peaceful and quiet, the hotel is a former country house converted into a hotel in the 50s and still run by the same family. Beautifully decorated. Breakfast was the best we had in Sicily. Perfect location, right in the centre of Lipari.

Review 62：The were ants in our flat and it was very hot; we had air conditioned machine, but we didn´t have the remote control to switch on it. It was expensive.

Review 65：the hotel is located 2 min walk from the main harbour. In spite of that it is really quiet. However what I personally liked most about this hotel is the atmosphere/decoration . So different from other hotels . I would define it as a vintage place, with original sicilian furniture and family memorabilia, very authentic and charming . It is a sort of 'retro' place, with authentic sicilian atmosphere - time seems to have stopped here.

Review 66：Our room was filled with Mosquitos. We ended up buying insect spray andgiving our room a blast every night because we were waking up covered inbites. This seemed to work, but the hotel should've taken measures toprevent this.

Review 67：Villa Augustus was a nice place in a really convenient part of town,close to the ferry, bus stop, bars and restaurants. Our double room wasquite small but very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated, with asmall balcony and ensuite. The hotel had a lovely, comfortable receptionarea with lots of brochures, an outside seating area where breakfast isserved, television and wireless Internet. Breakfast was buffet stylewith croissants, fruit, muesli, yoghurt, fresh coffee, juices etc. Staffwere pleasant and relatively helpful.Overall ours was an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
