Review 1：It would be helpful for foreign visitors if the food was identified. Also we were very surprised that there was no butter at breakfast, only margarine. The dairy industry is so strong in Hokkaido that butter should be easily available.
Review 2：A nice comfortable hotel with a good, friendly atmosphere. Well located for exploring Shiretoko. The open-air bath was a bonus.
Review 3：One front desk staff is quite unfriendly. Breakfast start late compare to other hotel. We paid almost SGD 400 yet we could not have breakfast because they start at 7am. Even I requested early breakfast but said NO.. We had to do check out payment at night because we checked out at 7am and there won't be front desk staff. Breakfast time and earliest check out time are not mention in booking page. Expensive hotel should not manage like that. It is not B& B. We stayed one night at other bigger hotel and another night at Nobel hotel. If I knew about timing I would continue staying at bigger hotel.

Review 5：The location is in the heart of Utoro and very close to the port for sightseeing boats. There are two big convenient stores nearby. The food they served for breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent. The showcased Shiretoko produce and seafood :). The staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 24：It would help if Hotel can put up a sign at the Bus Terminal with walking direction to its property. It would also help if they could put the English name (not just Japanese) of the Hotel on their building. Actually, the Hotel is conveniently located somewhere in front of the Bus Terminal and it's only about 3 minutes walk if you know the way; but we spent some time asking around for direction while towing bulky luggage behind us.
Review 25：Hotel is new, spacious, each room has a balcony and ours overlooked the snow covered harbour with icy stream - a nice view. Staff was helpful and friendly, came out to greet us. Both breakfast and dinner were good, served with numerous cute and pretty traditional Japanese dining sets. Bi-lingual (Japanese / Mandarin speaking) staff serving meals with details. Onsen on top floor with view of harbour but the outdoor onsen was closed due to strong wind on the night of our stay. 5 - 10 minutes walk to lazer show venue nearby. Tourist information office in front of Hotel (2 minutes walk) showing brief history and story of Shari.
