Review 1：Wonderful hosts....Naoko is a great cook. She does mainly continental cuisine using local produce. I recommend dinners at Alp Bach especially if you are in Madarao for skiing or a long day of activities in Madarao. very close to the ski lifts.

Review 2：Maybe the breakfast service time of 7.30-8.30 is too small (in case you want a lazy sleep in)? But fair enough, as it is a serviced breakfast rather than 'help yourself' buffet style. Nothing to complain about really. Also, we felt a bit bad that one of us didn't eat eggs at all - which were commonly served at breakfast. Next time I think we should tell her in advance.

Review 3：Lovely host who offers a personal 'shuttle service' which made it super handy arriving with big bags at the bus stop at the main hotel in town. She drove us down to their place which is very cosy, relaxing and comfortable. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfy. Bathroom is small but has everything you need. The breakfast and room were enjoyable. Dinner service also available which I'm sure would be great, but we just walked up to the main hotel part of town, which is about 10-15 minutes walking on the snow covered street. Access to the slopes is really easy. Grab your skis/board from the ski-room downstairs, head out the door and walk 50m down the street to an access route. Clip on your skis and ski right down to the gondolas or ticket office. The hosts organised discounted ski tickets for us too. Thank you for a pleasant stay :-)

Review 4：Naoko cooked all the meals and they were great, when we booked a meal at another restaurant Naoko would drive us and pick us up afterward. The place was cosy and warm the beds were comfortable, her dog Axel was great very friendly. my wife and I loved the place, we would love to return there

Review 5：A bit of a walk to the "main area", but this was more than compensated for by the service from Naoko.

Review 6：We stayed for four nights and I couldn't have picked a better place. We arrived on my birthday, and when my fiancée told them it was my birthday, I got a lovely celebration with a cake and sparkling wine, making us feel at home right away. It is run by a family, and Naoko gave us an incredible service! She arranged ski passes, ski clothes and ski rental, so we didn't really have to think about anything except to enjoy our stay. It's right next to the slopes, making it very convenient. There was also a vending machine for drinks and some snacks you could buy, which was nice. Both the breakfast and dinner was very tasty and filling, they made sure we didn't stay hungry. If you're going to Madarao, this is the place to stay!

Great location being able to strap in right across the road to snowboard down to the main gondola. Would highly recommend and am wanting to to back to visit again!!

Review 10：The host, Naoko was extermelly kind to us . She drove as around the town and made reservations for us. She also made a wonderful breakfast each morning. Comfy rooms, large fire in central area, pretty. Extremely close to ski slope and free-wifi. Really enjoyed our stay here, would recommend to all.

Review 11：Alp Bach is a truly awesome place to stay in Madarao. It's more like a bed and breakfast than a lodge or hotel, and the hospitality we were shown was extraordinary. The fireplace and common area is a nice touch. The rooms were clean and reasonable in size, and the heated ski storage area was a huge perk for storing wet gear. There are some vending machines downstairs, and a rack of candy if you need something in a pinch. Truly the best thing about this place is how incredibly friendly and generous the owners are. Also the breakfasts are pretty damn good too! We will definitely back in the future to stay at this gem
