Reviews for La Terra Del Mezzo

Review 1:- at arrival hard to find the house, however, if you know the way, the motorway is only a 5-minute drive. Terribile road conditions as everywhere in Sicily. - slow wifi (almost unusable) - appartments on the ground-floor have no panorama (neither the sea, nor the Etna)

Review 2:-Beautiful garden, lemon trees, flowers. -Daily cleaning, towel change in two days. -Excellent food, a la carte and menu. Nice Sicilian wine selection, reasonably priced. -Near the motorway and all sights on the east coast. Perfect place to explore the Etna, Taormina, Catania, Aci Trezza... -Sea is walking distance (1 km), memorable morning runs. -Friendly and helpful hosts.

Review 3:the journey was a bit lively signposts are a bit erratic.

Review 4:The people so friendly the food was exquisite and the whole place sheer heaven set in a beautiful setting

Review 5:Need a gps to find it

Review 6:Great location, among lemon orchards On site parking Very nice family suite: two good size bedrooms with bathroom in between Very good restaurant with lovely breakfast and dinner Ideal to go to Mont Etna

Review 7:Peaceful and tranquil location, surrounded by beautiful scented flowers and lemon groves. Excellent set menu different every night. 1km from the coast and a great view of Etna.

Review 8:It's a lovely place to stay for a few relaxing days but not if you want to drive up and down the coast since it doesn't have an easy access to the motorway.

Review 9:This hotel wasn't easy to find even with the GPS, but once we got there it was worth it. The set dinner was delicious and reasonably priced, as well as breakfast. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious and the surroundings were beautiful with amazing view to Etna. Staff were kind and friendly. Definitely a place to come back.

Review 10:- you gotta drive to get to the beach, there is nothing in walking distance (that's why it's so quiet, on the other hand) - takes a lot of driving on small roads to get there - the room was OK but had a lot of dust which didn't do good for my allergy

Review 11:charming , nice "agriturismo" place near Riposto with beautiful garden, lemon trees and a lot of lizzards all around. nice personnel, they seem to understand English but will reply you in Italian :) we used it as a base for trips to Taormina, the Etna, Siracusa etc...takes much driving to get anywhere though

Review 12:Not easy to find even with technology....as the road has three different local names.

Review 13:Beautiful gardens set in a citrus orchard. Our room was spacious and the air con a welcome respite in the heat. Food in the restaurant was thoughtfully and locally sourced and prepared by talented chefs. Excellent wine list, too, from Sicilian wineries. Easy driving distance to Etna and about 30 mins north of Catania airport.

Review 14:Good restaurant, sweet people nice environment, well kept gardens, cant really complain about anything.

Review 15:Genuine friendly staff. Lovely place full of charm and character.

Review 16:Walk to the beach on single road track with lot of cars

Review 17:Nice room, good diner in restaurant

Review 18:Nothing

Review 19:The location and the dinner caused us to return to Riposto. The four course fix price menu for dinner is wonderful.

Review 20:Extremly quite location. Staff were lovely and the location is perfect to explore north Etna villages

Review 21:Bathroom a little dated

Review 22:Lovely location, excellent food

Review 23:You really need a car, otherwise you are stuck at the hotel.

Review 24:Very good atmosphere amongst the lemon and orange trees

Review 25:Everything was more than fine. We had a beatutiful week there, hope we will be back soon!

Review 26:delicious dinner

Review 27:Wifi wasn't working at all

Review 28:Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and amazing food

Review 29:Clean room, beautiful garden, nice breakfast and very nice diner!! Friendly people and a view on the etna.

Review 30:Maybe a bit hard to find...

Review 31:evrything is perfect. the room, the menu (really good breakfast and dinner), the staff.

Review 32:Nice agriturismo in a lovely garden

Review 33:Just the confusing road system to reach the villa from the Autostrada. La Terra del Mezzo was fabulous

Review 34:The Villa was located in a peaceful lemon grove, away from traffic. There was a lovely courtyard and garden in which to relax. Our room was elegant and spacious, and everything worked. The staff were tremendous, the breakfast excellent, and the added bonus was having a fabulous restaurant 4 course dinner for Euros 22. I was sad to leave.

Review 35:Wifi upload was poor (some kbps), so it was not great to upload photos

Review 36:Staff was friendly and helpful. Dinners were a good value for price, some more choices would have been excellent, but there were indeed good and healthy dinners. Beds are comfortable, and place is quiet to rest at night and wake up with birds. Easy to find with GPS.

Review 37:The place is beautiful well kept. Facilities are good for families with children. Breakfast is typical continental with sweets and some cold cuts. Being in Sicily would have expected more local produce for breakfast others wise very good stay and location is excellent for exploring Etna, Taormina and the surrounding small villages.

Review 38:Don't use the longitude/latitude co-ordinates which took us onsome rugged roads. As someone said on another review just put in Ripostoand follow sp1/2.

Review 39:The accommodations were basic and everything worked well. They use a lotof local design items to furnish the rooms. The food was excellent. Thegardens are lovely and very relaxing. The only reason you would go toRiposto is visit the Mount Etna area. Which we did for a whole day.Taormina is only 30km away.

Review 40:The gourmet dinners were inventive, but the execution was uneven. Somedishes were perfect, some overcooked. If you're driving, don't rely on Google for directions. Just find the village of Riposto, which is on the coast, and make a beeline for the lemon orchards, which are a 2-minute drive inland.

Review 41:This is an absolutely beautiful place. The owners obviously put alot of love into the design and landscaping. My husband and Iplanned to use this as a base of operations for making day trips toMt. Etna and Taormina, but it was so serene and relaxing, once wegot there, we didn't bother leaving to see other places. It's a great place to rest.

Review 42:Loved that the location was so calm and peaceful. The facilities offered a large lounge room, plus large bathroom and bedroom. Felt very spacious. We opted to dine at the hotel's restaurant and were so thrilled with the food that was presented....a wonderful choice of dishes and so wonderfully cooked. Truly the best gnocchi!!!! Very nice sitting outside under the pergola on a warm summer evening..

Review 43:Very difficult to find. However, after I called them, they found me (and my car) and led me to the venue. Without a car it is extremely difficult to get e.g. to the beach (which is ca. 15 km away)

Review 44:Excellent food, no need to look for dinner elsewhere. Small, but clean and comfortable room, free Wi-Fi, very nice staff

Review 45:We liked everything about this hotel - the panoramic views of Etna and the sea, lemon trees all around. But the best about the hotel is certainly the staff (very nice, hospitable and cheerful people) and the food of the restaurant - it is home made and really delicious. We are sure it's not the last time of our staying in Terra del mezzo!

Review 46:Too difficult to find from motorway. Too far from local cafes and restaurants other than in-house. Rooms need face-lift.

Review 47:Good Breakfast on terrace Lemon grove location

Review 48:It is a bit difficult to get to and from the motorway and the roads in and around Riposto /Giarre are often narrow and poor surface.

Review 49:Great location on a lemon farm close to Mount Etna. Good accomodation, nice breakfast, and a great evening meal option.

Review 50:Difficult to locate, but once there, amazing.

Review 51:The host was very welcoming; once we took our luggage to the room andwent to the dining area to use the wi-fi and he brought us espressos andwater. The room is lovely, spacious, with nice bathroom and goodmattresses. The dinner at the hotel should not be missed; the food iswonderful - a real find and quite reasonable. The breakfast was nice, not just sweets.

Review 52:Wi-fi was of poor quality

Review 53:Owners are very nice and helpful. The place is relaxing and surrounded with a lot of lemon trees.

Review 54:Food Nice place

Review 55:You need a car.

Review 56:Etna is easily accessible and very nice view. The room was very clean too :)

Review 57:The nearby town unfortunately does not do justice to the venue

Review 58:The tranquillity of the location.

Review 59:Dfficult to find, even with gps

Review 60:Nice garden betrween the lemon trees friendly staff

Review 61:A hairdryer would be an added bonus.

Review 62:Wonderfully situated with super views of Etna. Very good food.

Review 63:nothing

Review 64:attentive and friendly staff restaurant food excellent peaceful and delightfully rural

Review 65:Great location to visit the Etna and Taormina. Awesome breakfast withall kinds of cakes. A bath in the room.

Review 66:A little far from the city

Review 67:very quiet
