Review 1：Corridors, toilets and bathroom change room weren't heated like rest of pension.
Review 2：Takeshi's is always (seriously) happy to give lifts to and from the ski lifts and restaurants. The food from Kimmie was delicious and we were happy to have the same dishes/hot pot more than once.
Review 3：We were shocked that there is no room cleaning service when we stayed for 5 nights. No one made our beds, change the sheets nor give us fresh towels. Also there is no water, tea making facilities or even a box of tissue paper in the room! We stayed consecutively at several hotels on this trip and comparatively for the price we paid per night, it is definitely a poor deal.

Review 5：Lovely family run pension. Would have loved to have stayed more nights, but even though it was our best stay of our 2 week trip, it was also the most expensive... Get what you pay for. Great breakfast.
Review 6：This place is fantastic. Its a lovely place with an alpine chalet feel. Facilities are great and the onsen is wonderful after a days skiing. Ski fields 1 min shuttle away. Owners excellent and very welcoming. Couldnt recommend more highky! We will be going back!
Review 7：The lodge is very comfortable. It has a beautiful lounge area with full bar and a TV/Video or music if you wish. Takeshi and his family have lived in Madarao of 35 years and is very knowledgeable about where to ski in what ever conditions. It has a relaxed and fun atmosphere and the dinners are exceptionally good.

Review 10：Takeshi runs his Pension like clockwork, and with a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Whatever you need, Takeshi has it covered. The Saturday night hotpot dinner with everyone at Fujio was a real highlight. We didn't want to leave! Will be back for sure.

Review 14：Everything about Fujio! Very well set-up and thought out pension. Takeshi was a great host, speaks very good English and nothing was a trouble for him. As we hadn't pre-booked dinner at Fujio before arrival, Takeshi had already booked us into a local restaurant. The evening meals at Fujio are excellent and great value. Would definitely stay here again.

Review 16：We travelled in a group of 11 people from UK, U.S., India, Belgium and Germany. We stayed for 2 nights and the stay was excellent. Breakfast and the hot pot dinner were awesome. On the second day we faced some severe snow with taxis being stuck in snow and cancelled train service. The owner pulled taxis out of the snow and helped us find a way to get back to our destination in Nagaoka. The Madarao ski resort is only a minute drive away and has great slopes and snow condition. Again, the hotel helped us getting rental equipment and ski passes. Overall we all felt taken care of and we would come back any time.

Facilities are excellent and a lot of thought put onto comfort and convenience (right down to being provided a mobile phone upon arrival with speed dial to Takeshi the host if you need to contact him while you are out for assistance.)
