Reviews for Shiretoko Village

Review 1:That there was only a public bath, but that contributed to a real Japanese experience. A bit inconvenient to have to do everything related to water outside the room.

Review 2:Dinner and breakfast were excellent.

Review 3:Small common bathroom

Review 4:One of best athmosfere in two weeks in Hokkaido! Feels like home! Excellent food and travel advise with a presentation to everyone after dinner.

Review 5:None. But think accessibility may be a problem if you don't drive.

Review 6:Spacious room. Lavish set dinner and set breakfast. For the price we paid, worth every cent.

Review 7:NIL

Review 8:The meals were extremely delicious, with expensive seasonal ingredients (for example, we got hairy crab for dinner). The rooms were big japanese style tatami rooms and there were private or public baths which you can choose based on your comfort level.

Review 9:- two days dinner quality a bit different (2nd day not as good as the 1st day) - we stayed in the new building which is connected to the old one (however, if you stay in the old building, I feel it's a bit crowded and might be a bit noisy) - payment only cash

Review 10:+ ousen (public + two private/family ones) + spacous room and clean + awesome dinner (if you book half board) + very comfortable futon

Review 11:There were noisy works going on on the roof and at the reception area. Refurbishment is badly needed. Especially the onsen would need an overhaul.

Review 12:Good size of the room and the onsen. Free shuttle service offered by the hotel upon arrival and departure (the hotel's location is on top of a hill).

Review 13:The hotel is a little far from center Utoro, but by car is just 3 minutes and walking maybe 15 minutes. And the setting in the middle of the nature is very silent. The room was veeery beautiful (the new rooms in the annex), the staff even if they spoke little english very helpful. The onsen also was great to recover after walking around in shiretoko park. Has wifi in room also. Very good choice

Review 14:The meals were excellent. For the dinner on the first night, we each got a whole crab. The Japanese-style rooms were very comfortable.

Review 15:Onsen

Review 16:Breakfast and Dinner Onsen

Review 17:It's not so ease to find a place to eat in town after 6. Better to book a meal with the hotel. We didn't, unfortunately.

Review 18:Staff were helpful.

Review 19:very authentic place; i was probably the only foreign guest; very kind staff

Review 20:We stayed in the annex room 1 which was a little noisy as the room was near the side door and next to the vending machines. We also had other visitors in the form of bugs that refused to be chased out.

Review 21:The meals was fantastic, especially the first night. We were served with a hairy crab each. The staff was attentive during meal times despite their busyness. There are private onsen which was great since we are a shy lot.

Review 22:it will be much better and convenient for unloading or loading luggage if there is a drive through porch at the entrance of the reception so that we don't have to get wet in the rain.

Review 23:the futon and onsen was great!

Review 24:The weak wifi from our room

Review 25:The breakfast and dinner provided were substantial and fresh The onsen was great

Review 26:Tasty breakfast!

Review 27:Good Food... A nice cozy small Hostel
