Reviews for Regent Porto Montenegro
Review 1:Just two things ... The biggest one being the unbearable heat of the floor in the bathroom!!.. It's such a shame - it's an amazing space but you can only spend a minute or two at a time there as the temperature is extremely uncomfortable (I had to stand on the bathroom scales to try to avoid it!) Only other very small thing is the breakfast bar... The menu is really great but the selection at the bar itself could be better eg water, juice, more varied jams .... Just a small thing that could easily be improved further:)
Review 2:Everything was a of a very high standard. In particular the staff - all were extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Review 3:Too much water and a bit dirty in SPA area, not Regent level View from Mountain view rooms is so so.
Review 4:Best staff ever in all Regent hotels, polite, intelligent, results oriented
Review 5:The staff is so qualified, and they are very professional with their skills about treating guests. The facilities in the hotel are very highly rated in the hotel's industry. Service is fast and responsable anytime. So very pleased to be back in this hotel anytime of the year, its a good idea even during winter days for the view and spa facilities. The food is prepared in a caring procedure.
Review 6:Not really bad but slightly haphazard room service which we did mention to them. i.e wanting to turn down our bed at 6pm when most people are showering etc.. sometimes more thorough than others but not really a problem.
Review 7:The Regent was absolutely perfect in every way. Very helpful staff, welcoming and kind. Extremely comfy, huge bed and lovely bathroom. Wonderful view out over the Marina. Delicious dinners and also huge interesting breakfast with lovely fresh fruit and every sort of meats, cheeses, pastries etc as well as delicious cooked food.
Review 8:The interiors were comfortable but boring, "upmarket international" and safe, but sadly lacking in character. The concierge was asked to confirm an airline reservation from the local airport but didn't have the number and couldn't find the website of Montenegro Airlines! It took me less than a minute on Google.
Review 9:Very large, well equipped rooms. The breakfast staff were amongst the most pleasant and well trained I have ever come across.
Review 10:Surrounding of the hotel is not very intimate. Although location itself is very convenient... there is a huge open parking beside hotel and great building site for the future construction plans of Porto Montenegro... so try the rooms looking over the port.
Review 11:Service, breakfast, rooms, details, garden... this is exactly what Montenegro needed. Finally you can expirience international standards in this region. Very special vintage indoor pool.
Review 12:although we were upgraded to a 'better room', there was no bath in it while a standard room has one. This was a bit strange for a supposed upgrade but it still was a very pleasant stay.
Review 13:- Location - very comfortable room - spa - breakfast
Review 14:I like everything about this hotel, from staff with the warm welcome, reception and manager are so qualified and very warm people helping with any needs during the stay. The location of the hotel is superb with a marina view, and the food is very picky and with great treatment and tasteful. The room space is very comfy for a short or long period of stay, very clean and with perfect amenities. Cant wait to be back in this wonderful hotel
Review 15:None
Review 16:Perfect! The best staff ever, excellent location on the sea front, beatiful rooms/residences, gorgeous breakfast. As a frequent traveller, no doubt that Regent Port Montenegro and Square Nine Belgrade are by far the best 2 hotels in whole Balkan
Review 17:Absolutely nothing wrong with it whatsoever.
Review 18:Perfect staff, beautiful building, amazing views, spectacular rooms, incredible breakfasts and the most amazing stay all in all.
Review 19:Hotel pool is tiny and there is an exhorbitant charge for a bigger pool ( €25 each) and to take you to a nearest sea beach is €40 each! Both should be free.
Review 20:Nothing!
Review 21:Service, environment is lovely, nice port with good variety of restaurants. There are also water fountains and a playground where kids can play
Review 22:There is no beach and the waters here are so great it would have been perfect to have had beach access; the outdoor pool at the hotel very small ; indoor pool nice but hot inside ; you can pay extra 25 euros to walk over very close to new party complex Lido that has amazing fun pool and service. Hotel is far from other towns and places and roads are one lane so no point in my opinion to leave this luxury hotel to see small towns with hundreds of tourists ! Hotel could have used some more staff to assist with general things at the pool ; car ; - for busy season seemed they needed more staff at front.
Review 23:The hotel for looks is truly amazing 5 star ; the view; the boats all around; even the little village they built is very beautiful. If you have a boat and can come here and stay for a few nights to be pampered then its amazing! We truly came to see this new place built and it was worth the trip just to relax from the busier city centres. Great food amazing breakfast - really relaxing - great music in the evening at the hotel!
Review 24:Even thought the pool is very cute, it is rather small and they redirect you to Lido pool within Porto Montenegro where you need to pay 25 euros to use their facilities. Also, if you want to go to the beach, you will need to drive or take a boat since the hotel is located in the port. It is perfect for those that have their boats docked in the marina in front of the hotel. Since we travel a lot, I noticed that the staff even though very helpful is still learning the operations of the hotel. Also, they need to pay attention on cleaning the rooms a little bit better during the stay.
Review 25:The breakfast was excellent, the staff is nice and helpful, the spa is very nice ( hamam, steam room, sauna, rain forest room). Our suite was beautiful with three large balconies and had a great view of the marina. Everything in the hotel is brand new.
Review 26:Nothing
Review 27:The staff are professional and friendly. They explained every single thing. The location of the hotel is fabulous and the facilities are great. We enjoyed our stay!
Review 28:Wonderful hotel, beautifully decorated spacious rooms. The reception staff were amazingly nice and gave us late check-out, and props to the concierge for going above and beyond in securing reservations and boat rental at the last minute.
Review 29:The hotel doesn' t have the beach in vicinity but it does have a private beach where they can take you by boat. It is completely inappropriate that they charge it, on top of it very expensively: 40 eur per person!
Review 30:Very comfortable and beautiful room, attention to details, large and fantastic bathroom, SoundLink Bose in the room, wonderful view at the Marina, very good breakfast, beautiful surroundings....
Review 31:Very bad bed linen, coffee in rooms no regular provision! Disappointing swimming pool and very tight area around for relaxing! Poor selection of fruit for breakfast!
Review 32:Location with very nice view. Good air conditioning and quiet rooms.
Review 33:Although our room did have mountain views it also overlooked a car park which let the view down a little and didn't make us want to sit on the balcony
Review 34:Superb quality hotel, in a great location. Great staff, unique swimming pool, great breakfast. What you would expect from a 5*.
Review 35:The are still working on the port and for that reason it was a bit noisy. And it might be because of the port, the port had a sewer smell.
Review 36:I really didn't expect to find such luxury in a very small town such as TIVAT. I can say that Poeto Montenegro is becoming one of the most luxurious places in the Balkans.
Review 37:The outdoor pool was too cold to really get in but it was very early in the season.
Review 38:We absolutely loved our stay in this hotel and only wish we could have stayed for longer. The bedrooms are luxurious and the breakfasts are delicious. It was the perfect place to spend our anniversary.
Review 39:Sauna was too hot - way above 100 degrees celcius both times we were there. The bedsheets and pillow cases were very rough to the touch and not breathable. I expected much softer sheets from a 5 star hotel.
Review 40:Breakfast was amazing, combination of hot a la carte and cold buffet, this was absolutely a bargain as it was included in room rate. Room was luxurious and cleaned multiple times a day. Spa was large and spacious.
Review 41:.... but they charged extra €15 for 'staff tip' out of a bill for €180. Disgraceful. The lady at reception then had nerve to say 'it's what 5 star hotels do'! Like I've never stayed in a 5 star hotel before. Well I haven't stayed in a 5 star hotel that's charged me over 8% for a involuntary tip for the staff, that's for sure. I have stayed in 5 star hotels where it's customary to put some cash in an envelope for the staff to share out.
Review 42:Great room...
Review 43:Was a hygiene issue in the gym but quickly addressed by the lady manager.
Review 44:If you live in the region and want a weekend break, this is without doubt the best hotel within 1000km radius. The price, hotel comfort and the whole package is a world beater. Highly recommended - Will not disappoint at any level. Rooms are a haven of peace and perfection. Try dinner at the nearby Japanese or Posto Giusto for the perfect weekend.
Review 45:A beautiful building with contemporary decor, a great location, spacious room that feature luxury furniture, excellent SPA with modern amenities, amazing food and professional staff which really paid attention to whether anything else would help. If we could stayed longer, we would have stayed a lot longer
Review 46:The staff is very qualified and kind, helpful for any need, from reception to the manager high regards for everything. Breakfast is very rich with every kind of lifestyle food. Seaview is breathtaking over the luxury yachts and beautiful garden in front of hotel, cant wait to be back!
Review 47:Service not terribly well organised probably due inexperienced management. Nobody out front of hotel and difficult to be sure it actually was a hotel and not an apartment block. Inflexible eating arrangements with a whiff of the old communist days and not always great food. It was often cold due to poor kitchen organisation. Room cleaning was poor with hair from previous occupant in bathroom and dirty towels.
Review 48:Very comfortable rooms, great location, great facilities. Very good breakfast. Willing and pleasant staff but housekeeping poor.
Review 49:We had a wonderful stay in the luxurious Porto Montenegro. We loved the spa facilities and enjoyed our suite with wonderful balcony views. We had a most relaxing stay and would not change anything.
Review 50:Mistake in the invoice Number of Staff is reduced to the season Missing touches in detail in a 5 star hotel Poor breakfast
Review 51:Location Newness Friendly Staff Good Quality Furnishing Quiet Availablity other restaurants in the area
Review 52:Having recently stayed here for three nights I was amazed at everything the Regent Porto Montenegro has to offer! I was told about this recently opened hotel by a colleague from London who was blown away by the place during his visit a few weeks ago. I am also a very frequent traveler to Montenegro and have stayed in all of their other five star hotels including the Splendid, Avala Resort, Aman Sveti Stefan and others.. None of these hotels can compare to the luxury and service offered at the Regent! The double rooms are extremely spacious and offer incredible views towards the marina, sea and the hotel itself. Materials used in the room are top-notch, everything suggest the hotel was built with absolutely no expense spared! For those who pay attention to detail like myself, this is one of the rare hotels where it is impossible to find a fault. The pool and spa area are very spacious and relaxed with excellent service from the staff. The outdoor infinity pool offers an amazing view towards the sea while the indoor spa area provides peace and relaxation in ultimate luxury. The spa offers a range of treatments that make it hard to decide what to go for if you are only staying a couple of days - I would however recommend the deep tissue treatment with Danijel. My lower back problems were almost completely eliminated. Even though the Regent is set among Porto's many cafes and restaurants they are not on par with the culinary masterpieces offered in the hotels restaurant! The prices for dining are roughly the same as in the nearby restaurants but the quality and service is much better at the Regent. If you are a single malt fan like myself, the library bar is a must see. An amazing interior accompanied by live music on the weekends with the notes of Sade and Sinatra. An amazing selection of single malt whiskeys and other drinks is offered that should not be missed!
Review 53:Not so much a dislike but the proper outdoor pool and tennis courts were at a different location and quite expensive.
Review 54:Everything. Simply a stunning hotel. Great staff, perfect rooms and a magic breakfast!
Review 55:The price is very expensive for Montenegro and the greater region but without doubt this is the best hotel I have stayed in in Montenegro, Croatia or Serbia.
Review 56:Staff were helpful and courteous. Rooms were spacious and excellently decorated with generous bathrooms. The Breakfast was a fantastic spread and everyone from when we arrived to when we departed made us feel very welcome. A beacon for the Montenegrian tourist industry.
Review 57:Trying my best to find a fault to fill this box but to no avail.
Review 58:Without a doubt, The Regent Porto Montenegro has the most luxurious, comfortable and best thought out rooms on The Adriatic if not further afield. The rooms are a haven - a sanctuary with no expense spared to make the guests experience nothing short of magical. Staff are very good and trying hard and well on the way to becoming equally world class and will get there once the hotel 'settles in'. Breakfast is perfect - nothing short of that.
Review 59:Check in and check out. The worst ever. It takes an hour for the reception to check you in and check you out. Prepatment of stay due to Booking confrmation that we will pay when we stay. Bill from someone elses room of 23 eur from restaurant??? Receptionist's answet on my protest of prepayment "It' like that here"??? Didn't bother to ask for one of 100 foreign managers??? On check out one manager came to see what happened with wrong bill and not even complementary glass of water, not to mention antthing else. When a GM gets on the floor instead of writing personal welcome notes, it will get better!
Review 60:Location,design, style, most of the staff (specail thanks to Dusan Ilic - the best hotel emoloyee ever), pool, rooms, amenities, view....marvelous!!!
