Surrounded by 100 hectares of olive groves and fruit and vegetable gardens, Tenuta Del Barco is in Pulsano in the Salento region, 5 minutes' drive from its private beach.
Dating back to the 17th century, this agricultural property is set around the original farmhouse. Here the ex stables have become comfortable apartments, which overlook the courtyard. Junior suites are grouped in 2 and located in cottages throughout the woods.
Tenuta Del Barco is an eco-friendly wine resort, powered by solar energy. It uses its own olive oil, fruit and vegetables in dishes at the restaurant. The buffet breakfast also includes homemade food.
You will find tennis courts and five-a-side football pitches on site, as well as scuba diving equipment. Bikes are available to rent. There are a number of public beaches in the area and the busy port of Taranto is just a 30-minute drive away.

Nick & his team were awesome & did all that they could (& more) the food was delicious & the wine was out of this world. We have been back for a couple of weeks now & we're still on a real downer that we aren't still there!

Review 8：Many thanks to the Hotel Staff for the wonderful service and hospitality. Special thanks to the Manager Sylvia! I listened to all of our wishes, and offered a lovely room with a kitchen, instead of the cottage during the first day of stay. For mom, traveling with me in the room was much more comfortable than in a wooden cottage. Also, I want to mention an excellent restaurant and a fine wine! Perfect location, wonderful air from the pine aroma. I shall necessarily try to return one day.

Review 9：I was very surprised to see that the restaurant was closed for the whole duration of my stay and that there wasn't even a bar for a drink. That was in contradiction to the information on the booking.com hotel page. In addition the breakfast was basically a plate of biscuits and a coffee which is a bit minimalist even by Italian standards. The hotel administrator gave me a list of restaurants in the nearest town but you have to drive to it.
