Reviews for Dormy Inn Himeji
Review 1:The hotel is on the other side of town. Means we need to go through the station building before can see the centre of tourist spot. However this is not the main issue.
Review 2:Near to station, hospitality, onsen, free supper at night, breakfast also great.
Review 3:Nothing
Review 4:Very beautiful public bath! Either indoor or outdoor (especially outdoor onsen). The room size is okay. There is wifi in the room. Breakfast is okay. There is convenient store at the bottom of the hotel. Can leave the luggage at the hotel after checking out.
Review 5:Breakfast was good, location is near the train station, there is a convenience shop right beside, and behind it is a fabulous local restaurant that serves fantastic local food, English menu included. The top floor bath is great and you can get a massage costing 1000 yen per ten minutes just beside the bath. Landry laundry machine and detergent is free and there are also coin drying machines.they even provide free ramen for supper, not that I tried.
Review 6:No bad experiences at all.
Review 7:I like the few Dormy Inns I've stayed in because I know just what to expect. The are close to the railway station, very similar facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable
Review 8:Great location, just a short walk from train station, and close to eateries. Breakfast mainly Japanese food was terrific for us. Hot spring bath and free ramen were icing on the cake. Room was quite quiet despite close to train station, plus clean and tidy.
Review 9:the room was very small
Review 10:the location was great, the staff was very helpful. our first room had a problem and they changed the room to a new one with no waiting.
Review 11:Room and bed were small for two people. For one person it would be fine, however.
Review 12:Public bath on rooftop and morning breakfast were fantastic. Great value for money.
Review 13:The air conditioner was not above the entrance to the room, but above the bed. The washing bowl was not in the bathroom and it was located just at a side wall, no space for the right hand.
Review 14:Location, less than five minutes walk from the station.
Review 15:Great location close to the JR station, very clean and comfortable. We stayed during a very hot period and the air conditioning worked wonderfully! The staff were helpful and looked after our luggage while we continued to explore Himeji after checking out.
Review 16:Bed is a bit small, couldn't book standard twin room (with two beds)...
Review 17:Breakfast was surprisingly good, with lots of variety and everything was so tasty!
Review 18:Dormy Inn is extremely conveniently located. It is just about a block from the bullet train station. They were also extremely accomodating of our children. The hot spring bath was so relaxing!
Review 19:Nothing....
Review 20:The hotel was very close to the castle and the city centre. It was very clean and everything was perfect. We liked the Dormy Inn so much, the next night we booked into another one, different city...
Review 21:We had 3 single rooms which were very small. The breakfast was mostly Japanese and not many European options.
Review 22:The hotel was basic but able to accommodate our needs. It had a waching machine with clear instructions and public bath - which we did not use but looked inviting. Very convenient walk to Himeji Castle
Review 23:Location was very convenient for the train station. Breakfast was a big buffet with lots of western and Japanese options, it was great! Very small room, but still a good value.
Review 24:The rooms are quite compact and the restaurant furnishings could do with a bit of an update.
Review 25:The location near the station was terrific and the rooftop spa was delightful and a terrific way to recover after a lot of sight seeing along with a well priced massage. The staff were really helpful and quick to help. The free noodles and tea in the evening was nice offer. The buffet breakfast was realky enjoyable.
Review 26:Rooms are a bit small but with all needed contents
Review 27:Great breakfast, very japanese oriented Beautiful onsen on the top floor (closed and open-air baths), massage was perfect Kind and available staff Good location just near train station and Piole department store. Close to city center and not far from Himeji castle. Great experience at Gassai restaurant round the corner, recommended by the hotel
Review 28:Staff speaks limited English Small room, apparently normal for Japan
Review 29:Quiet and clean rooms Located close to the center and central station Good value for money Good breakfast (Japanese+International) Helpful staff
Review 30:Great service from the staff. Location was great, really close to the train station. Good public bath and free noodles- so yummy. Not too far of a walk (about 15 mins) to the Himeji Castle which was beautiful with the blossoming cheery trees. Thanks for the great time!
Review 31:The location is very good as only few minutes walking to the train station, the hotel make you feel warm, during such a cold weather I feel like eating a hot nice noodle, never expect when I check in and they told me that there is compliment noodle for us in the kitchen, I really feel warm :) . Besides, I think this is the best breakfast I ever have during my travel time, I love all the food provided, every single food I try I like it so much, even my boss want me to write about his comment here, he really love this hotel :)
Review 32:the room is a little bit small
Review 33:the location is excellent to visit the castle (15 mn walk). The hotel is very clean, modern, well equiped and breakfast was great also.
Review 34:Feeling excellent. You have free late night noodle, washing machine use. They did do what a traveller really need. Room space is reasonable for couple. Will come again if in Himeji
Review 35:Wi-fi kept kicking out in the room. Connection would break every 10 to 15 minutes. (I was in an 8th floor room). Frustrating, and eventually defeating. Otherwise room was adequate. This is a business hotel, so don't expect spaciousness. Adjust your expectations in that regard.
Review 36:Staff speak good English, if your Japanese isn't quite up to it, and are accommodating. The Nihon-ryori buffet breakfast is fabulous, if you like Japanese breakfasts. If not, they have what look like enough western items to satisfy.
Review 37:not a hint of a bad experience.
Review 38:I love the bath at Dormy Inns as well as the excellent buffet breakfast. The rooms are always quiet, clean and very comfortable.
Review 39:Not a thing
Review 40:Onsen (hot mineral spring, both inside and outside): used every night..... so relaxing! and availability of massage (fee); very comfortable bed. 5 minute walk to train station, close to Himeji castle. 7Eleven with ATM right next door.
Review 41:The first room I booked, the economy single, only had a toilet and washbasin but no shower. If you wish to have a shower, make sure this is part of your room
Review 42:The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms are compact but clean and efficiently organised, the onsen is very nice and clean, the included breakfast has plenty of variety and good coffee.
Review 43:This hotel is definitely value for money! Their outdoor hot spring is awesome, the breakfast is tasty, the room is relatively spacious than normal and the bed is comfortable as well! Highly recommend.
Review 44:The room was very small, but this is to be expected in Japan
Review 45:The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The facilities were quite good, and at the top of the hotel there was an onsen (bath). It's also a few hundred metres from the Himeji station.
Review 46:The welcoming kindness of the staff. I asked for information about one of the bushes in the Onsen area, and was provided with photograph, botanical name, etc
Review 47:Easy to find from the train station. The castle and gardens are visible easily. The hot baths were really beautiful, enjoyable, relaxing...basically perfect. And the Japanese breakfast was a lovely experience.
Review 48:not everything translated (e.g. laundry), so not easy to use (but Japanese guest are friendly and helped)
Review 49:very close to JR station Himeji (800 step to shankensen track), the sauna and hot bath (onsen) on the roof is great, stuff speaks english, window can be opened
Review 50:We found our room, while small, well appointed and very comfortable; the desk and chair very useful. The breakfast provided was first rate with a great choice of Japanese and western style food. Walking distance to the station.
Review 51:The room was a it small for two and luggage for two weeks
Review 52:The Onsen (hot bath) on the roof-top The very confortable interior clothes provided by the hotel The breakfast buffet
Review 53:Outside looks old and occasionally the wifi drops out, but apart from that this hotel was amazing. The Staff were wonderful, accomodating and knowledgable. The added bonus of a full Onsen and massage room (after a long day of walking hills) was a delightful added bonus!
Review 54:A bit far as base to explore Kyoto (around one hour by train). Still, for a short stay and to visit the wonderful Castle it was just perfect!
Review 55:The onsen is great. So it is the complimentary nuddles every night! Breakfast is quite varied, oriental style but also eggs, sausages and a bit of fruit. A big shopping centre next to it.
Review 56:breakfast a little limited on the "continental" side ... althought it's a way to taste japanese breakfast
Review 57:Near the train station Termal bath (Onsen) available
Review 58:Limited selection for breakfast. Charge for late checkout. Public bath closed during day.
Review 59:Breakfast included. Wonderful public bath facilities. Well appointed rooms. Nice big double bed. Fridge in room. Very modern furnishings. Amazing location near train station. Air purifier in room. Good air conditioning system.

Review 61:Great location close to the train station. Stuff is very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was very good and I also enjoyed the public bath on the roof.
Review 62:Nothing to complain about...
Review 63:The hotel is located just two minutes from the trainstation. Althoughwe had a room on the elventh floor, the view was just of theneighbouring hotels. Unfortunatly you can't see Himeji castlebecause other buildings are in the way, but it ist just a short walk -maybe 20 minutes - away. The beds were very comfortable, the hot bathson the top floor nice but nothing extraordniare compared to other placewe stayed at in Japan. Really nice was the "midnight" soba(from 21:30 to 23:00) and even more so the breakfast!!! No cornflakesbut the kids loved the belgian waffels with whipped cream andstrawberry sauce, the croissant, etc... while we enjoyed the japanesepart of the breakfast buffet.
