Reviews for Boutique Hotel Texel
Review 1:Dust under the bed. Cold room and floor. Spa rate is expensive .
Review 2:Sauna, jacuzzi and pool facility's were great but the rate of €25 p.p I found expensive . Staf took a great notise of my food allergies. Nice decor due the whole hotel. Friendly staf . Nice breakfast.
Review 3:In the summer there is a camping place 2 m behind the building what could be to noisy when having a room first floor...
Review 4:The Staff is extremly friendly and the food is fantastic.
Review 5:Located relatively far from dunes/sea or village. You need a bicycle or car to write around...
Review 6:Great staff, personal and professional. Great restaurant, use of local ingredients and very well prepared food. Spa and swimming pool are fantastic!
Review 7:The Internet didn't work in our room and they couldn't fix it. We had a very nice suite but there was NO TELEPHONE in the room so we had to down from the second floor way out to the lobby if we needed anything. Pool is very nice but there were teenagers running and jumping in the pool scaring our little boy.
Review 8:Breakfast was included but not that special and doesnt match the luxurious feel of the hotel, spa and rooms. Location is quite remote, but that is exactly what you are looking for at Texel isnt it?
Review 9:We stayed in the suite, which was fantastic! Very luxurious, great bath, great view and very comfy beds. I loved the spa as well!
Review 10:you can see through the bathroom door, the clogs were a size too small (maybe put an average size 38-39 in there?)
Review 11:hang out area, fireplace, great interior deco, pool, sauna
Review 12:Some of the staff is still new or inexperienced, which I found a little surprising considering the price. The sliding door on the bathroom has a huge gap so privacy is a little compromised in the rooms.
Review 13:That staff were very friendly and helpful - even kindly went through the laundry to find the T-shirt I had forgotten! The place is gorgeous, the view from the swimming pool and spa is fantastic (you can even take a walk outside after the sauna). The restaurant was pleasant and excellent quality by Dutch standards (not always great).
Review 14:- no gym
Review 15:- the feeling of relax - nice room and bathroom - nice garden around the room - nice breakfast - nice restaurant in the evening - nice lounge for a drink
Review 16:No phone in the rooms. A bit strange but it actually didn't bother us at all...
Review 17:Excellent hospitality. Crew was very attentive and assisted with every request we had. Receptionist was very warm and always smiling yet super efficient. Great location to travel around the island; yet remote enough so you can relax and enjoy the countryside. Suite was spacious, very eloquently designed and really answered what we thought when we booked this boutique hotel.
Review 18:Being so close to the main road. The noise vibrated through the room and its fixtures. Lorries in the early hours woke us up several times. Room was not clean when we arrived - e.g. dirty floor. No cooking trays to use the oven. One cutting knife which was very blunt. Shades to the room did not work properly and let in light in the early hours, waking us up. Lights around the living area did not work.
Review 19:Staff at reception were great and facilities were good.
Review 20:I did not have any bad experiences, but I do have a few constructive comments! At breakfast there was only 1 coffee machine, which meant at busy times there was a queue. The room was quite warm at nights, which meant the windows had to be left open which resulted in my partner getting some pretty nasty mosquito bites. The bathroom is similar to a wet room, but you have to scrape the water back into the shower drain whilst showering, if you don't pay attention, the water may flood into the carpet in the bedroom. No Fridge in room.
Review 21:We really loved this hotel, We went for my partners birthday and were not disappointed. The atmosphere from the outset was wonderful, staff so friendly and helpful and could not do enough to help or assist you. We booked a suite and it really was stunning. spacious, romantic, tranquil and just perfect for a weekend to get away from the stress of the city The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bed linens were very high quality. The bathroom was very spacious and clean, they also provided nice shampoo's / soaps. Our room came with complimentary access to the spa and pool which was accessed via the end of the corridors where the rooms are located which was very convenient. We also booked to have massages during our stay here, and the Costa rican masseuse was wonderful, she made us feel very comfortable and we left feeling incredibly refreshed and relaxed. The breakfast is a typically European style breakfast, breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, fresh juices, coffee, tea, bacon, scrambled eggs. This was also very good, with the staff constantly replenishing. We really had a wonderful weekend here and would love to come back on our next visit to Texel.
Review 22:The spa need more attention to be taken care of... There is water from the shower on the floor in the sauna area and swimming pool area all over the place, made the floor quite slipy and it's dangerous. no body refresh the complimentary water from the bottle...
Review 23:The staffs are amazing, happy and friendly. The property is very nice. Really provides everything for a gateaway trip....
Review 24:Warm weather, so sleeping with window open allowed noise from road; and with window open at sunset (very beautiful view!!) no protection against mosquitoes. Dinner hours at (very good) restaurant too short.
Review 25:All the staff was so friendly and helpful, especially Nancy and the owner, Marian. The hotel in general and the room were tastefully appointed and comfortable - good modern taste. Enjoyed spa pool and sauna especially after a day out bicycling. Restaurant was very good, unfortunately only serving dinner between 6-8. Early closing hour difficult if out for a summer day; hours more suitable for shorter winter days.
Review 26:Excellent stay: everything was perfect, including the dinner. Staff very friendly and helping: they organized for 8 bikes to come the next morning even if asked later the previous evening.
Review 27:When the restaurant was open for dinner there was no service in the lounge area. In the end we went up to the bar to order some drinks but the two bar staff were too busy squabbling to even notice us. It could have been a one off event, but it kind of took away our relaxing and 'lounge-y mood' at that moment.
Review 28:It's a beautiful hotel with all sorts of extra facilities (including a restaurant and a spa) close to the Slufter. They've recentely renovated it and it all looks spick and span and quite luxurious. We love the lounge area with the fireplace and the bar where you can order some nice local beers or wine after an active day of biking or hiking. It's a retreat and a place where you can unwind. We didn't make use of the spa but did have a massage. The masseuse who's originally from Costa Rica gives one darn good massage! :-)
Review 29:Surprise diner was not a real surprise. It was ample quality for money.
Review 30:Swimming pool was OK. Bar, fire place and breakfast are great. Bike rental possibilities are good.
Review 31:Cant think of anything
Review 32:This hotel really lived up to its promise as described in its overview. We had an excellent stay over a long weekend and made the most of the facilities and treatments. We are already planning ahead for a future visit.
Review 33:The restaurant does not provide water by default, which is a bit of a shame. I think placing a bottle of tap water would not harm the sale of bottled drinks (people with preference for bottled water will order it no matter, same goes for wine, beer, and other drinks) and would just increase the level of satisfaction with the dinner experience at the hotel.
Review 34:The room, the spa, the cozy lounge, the nice hostess -- our entire stay at this hotel was enjoyment. We'd book this hotel again if we return to Texel!
Review 35:rather expensive, but maybe that's the money you have to pay for a quality like this.
Review 36:beautifully designed hotel, very good food- both for dinner and breakfast, bike rental.. everything you need
Review 37:Funny smell of fertilizer in the area (through the open window). The lightbulb in the bathroom was broken, we have reported this to the hotel personnel, they didn't fix it, thus we had to use the toilet in dark.
Review 38:Localization, room design.
Review 39:There was nothing we would complain about.
Review 40:Just try out the suite! Its beautifull. Nice bath. Great room! But also the deluxe room was very beautifull and comfortable. Good price-quality relation.
Review 41:The staff was absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. Very flexible people. The location of the hotel is very advantageous for visiting the whole of Texel. Well chosen breakfast. Dinner was lovely, too.
Review 42:Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely Dutch breakfast. The restaurant is worth a visit in the evening!
Review 43:dinner menu wasn't to special
Review 44:Awesome room, lovely staff and awesome breakfast
Review 45:nothing
Review 46:very nice hotel with a lovely swimming pool and garden. Great food in a very good restaurant
Review 47:it was a perfect location for a relaxing weekend. i especially liked the decor in the hotel and the breakfast was great too

Review 49:Wonderful place with warm, friendly staff.
Review 50:Extremely friendly staff. Good breakfast. Clean, new and nice rooms. Good location to stay.
Review 51:Very genuine friendly staff, from reception to restaurant employees. They do their very best to make your stay nice.
Review 52:Excellent facilities
Review 53:Breakfast
Review 54:Spa
Review 55:Food was wonderful. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful.
Review 56:WiFi only worked in public areas, not a big deal for a leisure break :-)
Review 57:Everything, great food, great assistance, nothing was too much bother.
Review 58:No AC - small and bad quality beds - pool which was supposedly open till 10PM was covered at 930PM
Review 59:overall room breakfast sauna pool parking .... nothing spectacular but all ok
Review 60:In general, much too expensive for what the hotel is offering. Sauna and indoor pool are included in the room booking but you have to rent a bathrobe (!). The room was ok but you the Postweg is relatively noisy and the bathroom didn't have a heating.
Review 61:The personnel was really forthcoming and quick to answer your requests.
Review 62:The hotel is quite noisy and you heard the other guests easily thereforeyou felt that you had little privacy.
Review 63:The hotel was cosy and the staff were friendly but not overly efficient. The location was fine and there was no disturbance from the air fieldwhich is just next door.
Review 64:Old furniture, very small bathroom (3 m²), mattresses too soft, sauna was crappy and old.
Review 65:Staff was very kind and helpful, hotel location ideal to discover the north of the island
Review 66:Swimming pool located in an building apart from the main building, whichmade it a bit cold.
Review 67:Friendly staff, clean rooms, abundant breakfast; possibility tohave dinner
Review 68:Small room, noisy room. Outdated
Review 69:The pillows!
Review 70:Friendly people. Perfect room. Silent Small but excellent Spa facility. Verry good breakfeast
Review 71:Walls to the hallway were much to thin. Too much noise from the hallway.
Review 72:Friendly staff Nice location Excellent ambience
Review 73:Breakfast was nice
Review 74:the good position to move around to visit Texel ile
Review 75:We enjoyed our stay,It was cental for the whole island. I would stay there again.
