Marlin Apartments sells fast on our site. Set in a prime location on Buffalo Beach Road, Marlin Apartments features outstanding views over Mercury Bay. The property is within a 10-minute walk along the beachfront to Whitianga's range of restaurants, shops, Marina and tourists attractions. Free WiFi is provided.
Buffalo Beach is located across the road, where you can enjoy a swim, in the gentle waves of the bay. The property is a perfect base to explore the unique Coromandel Peninsula by vehicle, cycle or on foot.
All ground-floor, self-serviced apartments have all linen supplied. They are equipped with kitchen facilities including a microwave, fridge and stovetop. Each has a patio with wooden outdoor furniture. Extra linen and apartment servicing are available on request for longer stays.
Some apartments have bi-fold glass doors opening up to patios overlooking the beautiful bay. Some apartments have bi-fold glass doors opening onto sheltered, covered patios that soak up the afternoon sun.
The small studio apartment is located downstairs under the managers house at the rear of the property.

Review 1：Acoustic insulation could be better - could hear the footsteps of the people upstairs and when there was running water

Review 6：Had to call and wait for staff. The key to the room didn't fit properly and was difficult to use. The room was much smaller that shown online. There were cockroaches in the bathroom.
Review 7：Found a big cockcrouch in one of the bed draws. Sofa beds linens and pillow covers didn't look very clean. The waste disposal was out of order. The hairdryer was not readily furnished.

We were arriving late so she left everything ready for us with the lights on etc. we had such a lovely conversation with her and felt very welcomed to stay there. The room was immaculate and I will be recommending anyone to stay there! We will certainly be back!! :)

Review 12：Waiting for partime staff to arrive to pass over keys etc, thank goodness for the neighbour as if you didn't have a phone you would be stuffed. Glad it will be changing hands and hopefully managed fully

Review 16：The bedrooms and bathrooms while clean and tidy do not match the standard of the living areas and are quite basic. In particular the main bathroom needs a new shower head to actually generate a spray and the second bedroom was disappointing with no window and lit by a skylight which made it very hot. The road in front of the property was busier than we expected and vehicle noise echoes along the gap between buildings and is quite intrusive at night.
Review 17：The view from the living area of the apartment over the beach and seascape beyond is stunning. The living area is well equipped and offers plenty of room for the stated number of guests.

Review 51：The wifi did not connect. The CD was inoperable. Two towels (spare) were damp. The heater was inoperable but promptly replaced with one that worked. It was clear that the place had not been used for some time and items were not checked as being in working order.

We were also close to the town and the harbour so that we could walk everywhere . I would thoroughly recommend this place and we will certainly return on our next visit to New Zealand.
