Reviews for Hotel Principe Di Savoia

Review 1:The parking cost 45 euro for 1 day is very high

Review 2:The location, the concierge is the best, they are so helpful, i recommend this hotel , the wifi is very high speed, incredible restaurant , thanks for all the people there, grasias

Review 3:Drinks at the bar very pricey. The cooked breakfast was not acceptable, never mind for a 5 star. On its own the breakfast is charged at €45, the food we got both mornings didn't justify that price.

Review 4:Staff were very warm and friendly. Hotel beautiful, pool and steam room etc lovely to have. While the location isn't excatly central but a nice 15 min walk to a nice district and the hotel does a free shuttle to the main area.

Review 5:Wi fi was poor kept dropping out. Some noisy repair work outside my room for a whole day prevented me from working in the room.

Review 6:Pool & Gym facilities were excellent and underused by others!

Review 7:Everything, including the nice upgrade. The Hotel has been revamped and what a surprise. Love every second of it, including in room dining which was excellent

Review 8:Breakfast was ordinary (what you can find at 3 star hotels) yet extraordinarily priced (45 Euro/pp). Wasn't reminded that breakfast wasn't included or what the price was and was an unpleasant surprise at check-out. Up until the breakfast and check-out, the experience was very enjoyable.

Review 9:Staff was very helpful, professional and customer focused, from check-in to spa services to concierge and luggage storage. Overall worth the extra money to try a luxury hotel experience on last night in Milan, as a treat.

Review 10:Dinner food stylish but a bit bluffing - considering price. Advice on restaurants outside hotel seemed to be limited to some "preferred partners".

Review 11:Style and staff just great. Excellent breakfas ans servicet.

Review 12:The ambiance of this great hotel. The friendliness of ALL the staff. No noise from adjacent rooms or from other floors. Excellent wine list. Very alert security.

Review 13:On my floor, the guests in the room next to mine, during three days, placed outside their door huge amount of discarded shopping bags, boxes, and food leftovers, which remained there until the early morning and was unpleasant.

Review 14:Truly exceptional service. The staff were very courteous and attentive. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel and the quality of services provided.

Review 15:Lack of sockets. I was obliged to unplug light fittings to charge my phone and my computer. Even doing this, there were only Italian sockets. A hotel at this level catering to business travelers should have multiple sockets including some for US and North European plugs.

Review 16:Comfortable and spacious room.

Review 17:We couldn't stay longer.

Review 18:The staff was excellent from the concierge to the Lounge staff to the doorman.Seamless perfection and wonderful professionalism.

Review 19:The moment we walked through the door to the second we left the staff were so attentive. Even when we were dropped off in the centre by the limousine driver, he stopped, got out the car, reach into the passenger side and gave us both a bottle of water. We got engaged whilst here, and the waiters at the hotel offered us a free glass of champagne which was extremely unexpected. They were all perfectly kind and respectful.

Review 20:Beautiful hotel, great staff, very good food in the hotel restaurant. Everything was perfect. The concierge was helpful in trying to retrieve our luggage which arrived a day late from JFK.

Review 21:Clearly a hotel of consciousness to visitors. Entire staff is welcoming and helpful. Love the car service, such an additional perk. The facility is beautiful and our room, lovely. The included breakfast offered something for everyone and enjoyed 2 evenings in the bar where our host went out of his way to accommodate our requests. This hotel is as classy as they come and I will definitely return. And thank you for not being so ridiculously expensive!

Review 22:Expensive drinks and food.

Review 23:Great aircon during heatwave late July 2015, Elegant and comfortable. Loved the limousine shuttle to shops and Duomo. Excellent room service. Even supplied power converters

Review 24:I often stay at five star hotels, and this has been the only one in years where I had to queue at the restaurant for breakfast. Complimentary internet connection could have been better.

Review 25:Wonderful hotel in the center of Milan. Hello to Maurizio, elderly but very helpful and nice doorman!

Review 26:Check-in was too long and the welcoming wasnt warm at all; we felt like we just walked in from the street instead of being expected guests

Review 27:Conciergerie was very helpful and provided excellent service. Also the shuttle to the city center was very comfortable

Review 28:Service is poor staff were quite unpleasant , room was dirty (ambassador suit ) with insects, and really noisy ( it wasn't possible to sleep

Review 29:Place is great near to the central station and main shopping street

Review 30:None

Review 31:Nice size hotel, good size rooms, good location, no complaints on breakfast and Internet - a good 2 nite stay, a good nostalgic feel for people wanting the historical touch

Review 32:Super great service. Wonderful restaurant. Very professional staff. Hotel and room beautifully decorated. Lovely swimming pool. Would love to go back!!!

Review 33:Despite being informed that it was our honeymoon they neither upgraded us nor sent any type of amenity to our room. I would pay for an upgrade to an ambassador suite if it was offered at a reasonable discount. The staff at the reception wasnt helpful and kind. Hotel rooms are nice but lighting wasnt enough.Servers are very professional eapecially Willy from peru, however don't be deceived by the pic of the pool on their internet site because it is the presidential suite pool. All u get is a tiny pool with a weak jet hot tub. Location is very central but cant walk everywhere anyways.

Review 34:location was perfect.

Review 35:they look first the personality of the clients upon how they dress up. To bad for 5 star luxury hotel. They are not so welcomed.

Review 36:the bed are so comfortable. Amenities are good. Using facilities for pictorial.

Review 37:The hotel lobby was outdated with 80's gold mirrors. We were only there in transit for a few hours, since we had to fly out that night and the moody concierge was incapable of checking our flight confirmations. We walked out of the restaurant since it was depressing and the menu was rubbish. We had 6 hours to rest and there was drilling which I had to beg them to stop. The corridors were extremely noisy (staff, not guests). The room carpet was dirty. The elevators were claustrophobic and I paid 9.50 euro for being served the wrong cup of tea!

Review 38:One receptionist upon arrival that greeted us well.

Review 39:Amazing properties , one of the oldest hotels in Milan . It is very well kept, very clean , and lovely inside . Close to all shopping and eat Itsly is a few minutes away . Free limi to shopping every 15 min .

Review 40:Surprisingly the beds were seriously uncomfortable, in fact they were hard. My adult son described them as concrete slabs.

Review 41:It was truely a five star hotel!

Review 42:Breakfast is not included.

Review 43:The room was beautiful and upon request we were moved to a room in front with a beautiful view. Complimentary car service to La Scala area.

Review 44:Distance to shopping and activities.

Review 45:The Staff was warm and friendly. The accommodations were high end. The room was phenomonal (gave my wife design ideas for our home).

Review 46:Breakfast is delicious but not that good for money. It costs more than 40 euro per person but I didn't find any originality from it. Cleaning staff rang the door bell 3 times at night. 2 times were offering for turn down service, another was just checking if the bell works! Why did they do that at night?

Review 47:Concierges are very helpful and kind. Bed and furniture are good.

Review 48:Nothing.

Review 49:It was our first time in the Principe di Savoia but it felt like home. We had the feeling to be back in la belle époque. The staff was very very friendly and they always looked for the welfare of their guests.

Review 50:Nothing

Review 51:The rooms are fantastic! Great bathrooms with amenities and a nice comfy bed. Staff were very helpful and the free shuttle to the Galleria and back was very handy. We were traveling on our honeymoon and on arrival we had a bottle of prosecco and strawberries dipped in chocolate along with a hand written note from the hotel manager. The next day when we returned from exploring we had a large basket of fruit.

Review 52:Loved the breakfast offering, being close to a metro station, concierge service was excellent. They referred us to a great restaurant for dinner and assisted with further travel arrangements.

Review 53:We did not like the pool, sauna and Turkish bath area. It does not correspond to the overall quality of the hotel. The pool was not very clean and smelled horribly of chlorine, the whole setup around the pool is careless, lie-lows are ugly, everything was swamped and used towels and bottles were around everywhere. The area of Sauna and T.B. are too small, a cold basin for after the Sauna is lacking. The rest of the SPA is very nice, but that part of it really needs a serious update. Thankfully it was free to use it.

Review 54:I loved the overall extreme friendliness and helpfullness of the staff, from Giovanni at the valet parking over reception and concierge to the wonderful service staff. Only exception was the head waiter (apparingly of Asian origin), who was polite, but lacked a bit of interest and friendliness.

Review 55:Welness with 1 swimming pool, 1 sauna and 1 steambath can be more but for a city hotel one does not expect more...

Review 56:Very friendly staff, lovely room (Aqua di Parma products in bathroom), nice bar, superb breakfast. Also perfect dinner, however a little bit expensive. Free shuttle service to center of Milan is ideal. We will come back...

Review 57:Bed a little too firm, but, a soft mattress topper provided without fuss.

Review 58:Plush and luxurious, just as you would expect from The Dorchester Collection. Staff superb and unobtrusive.

Review 59:Principe Di Savoia is a great hotel; however, what really stands out is their concierge service. I simply asked them to book me for 5 nights for dinner in trendy restaurants, and they took care of everything. We had an amazing dining experience every night of our stay.

Review 60:no kettle in the room, which is a huge inconvenience and no significant cost for the hotel to provide, and, having to pay Euro 19 per day to use the wifi for more than one device . . this is a technical failure in the modern world, and inconvenient

Review 61:Luxury, comfort, style, location

Review 62:Wifi coverage was very poor in my room. even when I paid for it I wasn't able to have my work video conference easily.

Review 63:The reception staff was nice and very helpful when I checked in. room service staff as well were very nice.

Review 64:Milano is great for art's business. I have been there working and i used a lot the business center. The staff there has been very helpful and competent.

Review 65:Politeness always pleasures me, unfortunately it is not there everywhere. All the staff I met in this hotel was very kind, helpful and polite. Traditional Italian hospitality, amazing food in the restaurant and quality environment make this place a perfect one to rejuvenate.

Review 66:The hotel location isn't near any local bars or restaurants that were open. The stay was marvelous but coming home late from our travels we were quite hungry or thirsty for a night cap. Also, accessibility for the shuttle pick-up was confusing. I was able to get assistance via Email.

Review 67:The hotel was close to the train stations or accessible transportation. The Plazza was walking distance which was convenient.

Review 68:As above for the price ( my husband and I travel extensively and prefer 5 star) nothing special. Rock hard bed, tiny room, sound of trams and airplanes. Bar prices just plain silly. Go elsewhere.

Review 69:Not much. I repeat for supposed 5 star very ordinary. Stupidly expensive with no special benefits. Simply pricey to keep riff raff out. And cap it if charging 60 euros for new Zealand wine worth about 12.

Review 70:In the morning I woke up and had 25 minutes to have a shower and rush to the airport. I am little cold and there was no hot water in the washroom!!!!! I was not dressed up and had no time to call the reception in order to fix it as I had the flight. I had never meet in a luxury hotel an inconvenient situation like that.

Review 71:The staff were arrogant beyond belief. Sad to say this bears no resemblance to the Dorchester or the Dorchester Collection hotels. Do not be fooled! A great disappointment.

Review 72:We had a wonderful three-night stay in this magnificent old style hotel. For comfort, style, relaxation and enjoyment, this hotel is hard to beat. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff were second to none. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in our spacious, luxurious room with two balconies overlooking the city. We would love to return one day!

Review 73:The long walk in the corridor.

Review 74:Nice decor and friendly staff. From the very reception it was a very warm welcome. It was a very late check in. They arranged my food at the bar. Also took care of my phones credit charge. Lobby & Room was extraordinarily well decorated. Enjoyed the very good Breakfast with the outdoor view and the morning news paper.

Review 75:one member behind the desk in a grey suit who was rather abrupt and seemed not interested in my problem. Our shower leaked water onto the bathroom floor

Review 76:Warm welcome, my wife having an ironing board+ iron in our room when she needed it, the fantastic breakfast, the Concierge Nicola Ciccone who was excellent+his team, Emanuela Farina in Guest Services Centre + Silvio Zanella from maintenance who helped with my i-pad problems even though that was not his job, the location, the limousine into the city centre, the history of the place! A great hotel which helped us recover from our long flight and we would go back again.there is a lovely elegance to the place.

Review 77:There was a royal family from Saudia Arabia which required armed security on our floor, which was somewhat discomforting.

Review 78:Hotel staff was outstanding. Quality of the rooms and Acqua di Parma toiletries were superb. All aspects of the hotel were top notch.

Review 79:There wasn't anything that I didn't like. All our needs were meet.

Review 80:We loved the hotel. The appointments were just so beautiful and the room we had was very spacious with wonderful bathroom and dressing table in the main room. The concierge was absolutely the best I've ever had. The complimentary limo service to and from the shopping area is an amazng bonus for the hotel. The fitness room is large enough to accommodate anyone's average needs. I've stayed at this hotel for the last 10 years on business twice a year and this was my second visit for pleasure and would definitely stay again.

Review 81:The water in the shower doesn't sink quickly The breakfast was limited with choices of food The room was shown in the site was bigger

Review 82:Room service was excellent The dinner we ordered was fantastic The crew were helpful ,, so helpful You feel luxury

Review 83:The underground trains didn't stop all night. Didn't have enough sleep !

Review 84:staff were helpful and suggested cool places to visit. Hotel is huge and luxurious.

Review 85:Forse non tropo vicino al duomo ma, but the have a van that take but they didn't informed us at the beginning of our stay

Review 86:The staff was great! The even offer us a welcome bottle of champagne in the room. Decoration: exquisite!

Review 87:Only wished there were more restaurants within the vicinity of the hotel. And the price of the food was a bit elevated.

Review 88:Loved everything about the hotel. Staff very friendly, excellent food, spacious rooms. Located 6 mns away from the center by taxi.

Review 89:Having to pay for wi-fi…five star hotels should not be charging for what is now a common offering.

Review 90:Bathrooms are brilliant - large and luxurious. Beds - very comfortable.

Review 91:No negatives.

Review 92:Location was good. Not close to the tourist hub. But the complimentary pick up nd drop off facility is convenient . Breakfast options were good. Well organized and systematic.

Review 93:Boss in the breakfast restaurant is very kind like grandfather. I feelthat I am in my home. All the time when I arrive in Milano, I will stay this hotel. Also very kind for my little dogs. Thank you so much :-D

Review 94:We ordered breakfast ala cart the first day but were charged for the exorbitantly priced buffet. We were unable to have the charges fixed correctly because the front desk couldn't reach the restaurant and we had a flight to catch. Also on our second morning we were charged a ridiculously high price for crossaints, juice and coffee. Staying at and dining at this hotel are a complete rip off!!!

Review 95:The room decor

Review 96:I didn't like the fact that I have to come to Europe to visit your hotel:)

Review 97:All employees were pleasant and served with excellent. Rooms were so manicured and clean. You didn't have my category above so I pick solo traveler however I traveling with my family: two sisters and my nephew.

Review 98:The hotel insists on pressing the clothing of guests since they don't provide an iron and an iron board in the rooms. However, during this visit they did not return my clothes in time which caused me a delay in attending my meetings.

Review 99:I am a frequent guest in the hotel and they have always been professional and friendly.

Review 100:The hotel is quite large and long hallways can get lost

Review 101:The staff was really wonderful and very helpful. When we arrived we noticed we did not have a bath tub. I called the front desk and immediately they moved us to a room with a lovely bath.

Review 102:complimentary services - shuttle and shower facilities offer prior to check in. The brightly lighted and spacious bathroom, and the outdoor decor (front gardens). Great service in general!

Review 103:Reception is really weak( we spent over 20 min near the desk ).

Review 104:I was really happy about concierge service, very professional team.Restaurant - breakfast was good, but it was too much people in the hotel, and for stuff it was a big challenge

Review 105:nothing

Review 106:Best service at any hotel I have stayed at. Everyone spoke fluent English...........that does not happen in London!

Review 107:Really great hostel! Near the subway and the train station.

Review 108:asked for nrwspaper but never got it...

Review 109:staff was extremely friendly, proffessional, helpful breakfast is great

Review 110:A bit noise
