Reviews for Boutique Bungalows
Review 1:Friendliness & helpfulness of our hosts Steve & Sharon. Brilliant breakfast in 'the Garden of Eden'. Beautiful decor of the bungalow. Elegant and comfortable. Lovely pool. Beautiful garden with wildlife roaming around. Being able to see the wild, rare, Wallabies rescued by Sharon who takes care of them for release back into the wild once fully recovered. Go to Millers to eat. Food is great, especially the Burger! The best bit...the price! Extremely fantastic value!!!
Review 2:Nothing to dislike.
Review 3:Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, cabins are clean with more than adequate facilities. Pool is lovely in great setting. Abundance of wildlife making stay very interesting and enjoyable. Very good breakfast with fresh fruits and eggs laid by owners hens.
Review 4:Not being able to check in 50minutes prior to check in time and the staff being very rude about the situation. We could have easily waited in the pool area or had a coffee in the outdoor area.
Review 5:Fantastic location, well priced and the an amazing breakfast especially if you love fresh tropical fruit.
Review 6:Everything was perfect.
Review 7:Amazing place!!! Bungalows are set in a lovely rainforest setting with daily visits from wild but friendly cassowarys. Total of 3 bungalows with no kids allowed so it's a lovely, quiet and private spot for couples. On top of this breakfast is free and really yummy not just the standard toast and cereal. Pool is also nice as is the accompanying hammock. Finally, the owners are lovely, friendly and are wildlife carers so you get to hold some baby joeys, a snake and whatever else they are currently rescuing. 10/10 :)
Review 8:No bad experiences only good ones
Review 9:The location was quiet and the people welcoming and friendly. The owners are wildlife carers and this added something extra, particularly their passion and knowledge of the local wildlife. Everything was clean and the breakfasts were plentiful and well cooked.
Review 10:There isn't anything negative about these cottages.
Review 11:We loved the secluded cottages, the way they are fitted out, the breakfast and friendly owners. We have travelled to 44 countries in the world and this is one of the best places we have ever stayed.
Review 12:Very good host and hostess, great location, good accommodation, exceptionally good value for money. We would only provide this rating for a really good deal.
Review 13:Lovely cottage in rainforest setting with great facilities. Wonderful dawn chorus. Loved it would have liked to stay longer. Great welcome and breakfast.
Review 14:Our hosts Steve and Sharon were wonderful, helpful and very generous in their time spent with their guests. The bungalows were excellent and set amongst beautiful gardens. One of the best B&B's we have ever stayed at in Australia.
Review 15:Leaving after only 2 nights!
Review 16:Everything. Sharon and Steve are wonderful hosts and the facilities were immaculate. Especially loved breakfast - best so far after 3 weeks of travel. Loved the Mission Beach area - so natural and relaxing.
Review 17:Great value for money. Very caring couple. First morning on our arrival after a wonderful hot breakfast, we sat down with the owners and were introduced to the current Australian animals being nursed back to health by them. They included baby wallabies, Papuan frogmouth and a carpet snake. We were even able to nurse the little wallabies. Their advice on restaurants and things to do was very good.
Review 18:Steve and Sharon are very helpful, and make you very welcome. Their roles in wild animal rescue adds lots of interest. Breakfast is terrific. The cabins are very comfortable, contain everything needed, and are set in a beautiful rainforest garden.
Review 19:Absolutely nothing.
Review 20:We loved the bungalow, it is very well decorated, very well equiped, clean, calm. The breakfast is amazing, with the opportunity to see wild animals. The garden and the pool are a real bonus too. Steve and sharon are lovely and work hard to make our stay unforgetable.
Review 21:It wasn't just a place to stay, it was an experience. On top of the great customer service and amazing facilities - we got to play with the baby wallabies, snakes, owl and even had a once in a lifetime experience with a cassowary on the property! Afternoon tea and breakfast were also both unable to be faulted
Review 22:The weather was disappointing. Three wet days out of five.
Review 23:The best place we have ever stayed in. The breakfasts and afternoon teas were absolutely delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and then there was the cassowary walking past the cabin-amazing.

Review 27:Great location great wildlife wish we booked longer great value for money.
Review 28:The whole experience, including the wildlife rescue service the owners run. This is an amazing place and for the price, I still can't believe what we got (including the AMAZING, sumptuous hot & cold buffet b'fast including exotic tropical fruits) in close walking distance to the beach.
Review 29:Steve and Sharon where the nicest hosts, and there animal care is so special and a credit to them. As a bonus we got to hold baby Wallabies. Breakfast was great and a good start to the day. The Cabin was a home away from home and so clean, the Pool had great area to just relax and pass the day away in their beautiful space they have created. I would no doubt stay there again. This is a must accommodation to stay at.
Review 30:I have stayed at Boutique Bungalows on several occasions. Great hospitality, great food, relaxed atmosphere. Steve and Sharon have an extensive knowledge of the local area which is very informative.
Review 31:Clean comfortable and friendly service with an excellent breakfast; With only half a dozen guests Boutique Bungalows is truly one of the best B&B that we have ever stayed in. The owners are very attentive to your needs and provide additional services like afternoon tea and free internet; they also interact with every customer equally ensuring a warm and welcoming stay to everyone. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Review 32:We originally planned to stay for one night and ended up to stay six nights. The cabins are of an extremly high standard and are located in a tropical wonderful garden. The hosts are extremely friendly and the breakfast is on a level that we never experienced at a B&B and the afternoon cake just makes the day. The closeness to nature and wildlife that one experience here is hard to find anywhere else. We will for sure come back if we get the opportunity.

Review 35:What a wonderful little piece of luxury located in beautiful mission beach! Close to the action but secluded enough for peace and quiet. An added bonus is the local resident wildlife who pop by every now and then to say hello.
Review 36:What a lovely little hide away, tropical and peaceful. The owners Steve and Sharon are brilliant, very friendly. Review 39:The hospitality of Steve & Sharon was great, nothing was too much trouble. Afternoon treats were great and a nice surprise each afternoon. Perfect setting to relax and unwind and truly feel that there was nobody else around, could do as much or as little as you like. This would have to be one of the best kept secrets in Mission Beach, look forward to returning sometime soon.
Review 40:Really comfortable bungalows beautifully sited in the garden and close to the pool. Friendly owners, short walk to the beach. Lovely breakfast and the opportunity to meet some local wildlife.
Review 41:It was a bit farther to the beach than I had expected (but since the beaches were closed because it was stinger season, that didn't matter too much).
Review 42:The bungalow was very private and well-appointed, surrounded by greenery and close to the pool. The hosts were very helpful and friendly.
Review 43:That we couldn't stay longer.
Review 44:The hosts sharon and steve could not have been more welcoming. The bungalow was fantastic and the surroundings beautiful. As they also rescue animals we had a chance to meet them. Breakfast was delicious and then sharon spent a lot of time helping to plan our day. Thank you.
Review 45:We would recommend this Bed and Breakfast highly. The owners were very helpful and friendly. If you like wild life you will love staying here. We were very comfortable in the bungalow and the breakfast was excellent. In fact everything about our stay there was excellent.
Review 46:Beautiful well appointed bungalows just a few blocks from the beach. Wonderful hosts, Sharon and Steve. Great breakfast. Loved the animals they had rescued from the wild. A really lovely spot
Review 47:I was very aware of type of accommodation I booked, but was still surprised by how small whole area was. We arrived early and saw all that there was to see, including 1.5km walk along beach prior to check in.
Review 48:I liked that it was different from the other accommodation I had booked on road trip. It was a separate villa, which gave privacy, Sharon delivered afternoon tea and a cooked breakfast was also included. Perfect place to have quiet "down" time from 4-5 Star Resorts. Just be aware that the Mission Beach area is very small compared to other seaside towns.
Review 49:Having to leave!
Review 50:Everything was fantastic! Sharon & Steve were so welcoming & helpful, we had afternoon tea waiting for us & the cooked breakfast was delicious.
