Reviews for NH Milano Touring
Review 1:There was a queue of about 15 mins to get into breakfast, and the buffet was fairly busy too. But we were not in a rush so it wasn't a major concern.
Review 2:A clean and comfortable hotel, 10 minute walk from the central station and maybe 15 minutes to the cathedral. The room was not huge but was perfectly comfortable.
Review 3:The location of this hotel is fantastic ... its between milan duomo and milan centerale ... it take 10 mins walking to centerale and 15 mins walking to duomo. Hop on hop off bus stop is very close to the hotel (blue line stop no 5). Breakfast buffet was sufficuent with vareity in food and delecious. Sure will stay therd again if i visit milan.
Review 4:Difficult to park but this is not specific to this particular area.
Review 5:Nice comfortable hotel at a great location. Modern and clean rooms and good breakfast, which was included
Review 6:No WiFi connection in the room, the lavatory wasn't well heated
Review 7:Central location near city center, the room was clean and modern, breakfast is ok (compared to other italian hotels)
Review 8:copious, fantastic breakfast buffet with all types of food available, cereals, bread, fuirt juices, coffee machine, fresh fruit salad, even fish and vegetable for Asian-type breakfast.
Review 9:the room had a terrible noise, coming from the ceiling that was constant, loud and annoying.
Review 10:the location was very near city center. We had free wi-fi everywhere through the connectivity pack the hotel gave us, the staff were helpful, and would recommend the hotel to others.
Review 11:Worst coffee ever!!! Americano tastes to hot water and looks like tea. No way to get the service to improve. Instead we were serve expresso which is a different deliverable.
Review 12:Got two singles when we needed double, loads of dust under bed, breakfast not great. Television as no English channels, not enough storage for a longer stay, staff arrogant
Review 13:Location good near central station and about 10 minute walk either way to each centre, rooms really nicely finished even for standard room!
Review 14:I did not liked the poor internet connection and the fact that we did not have a balcony.
Review 15:I liked the bed which is very comfy and the good location near the Duomo.
Review 16:Paying parking not very close (200 meters). Only two elevators, always crowded. Too crowded in the morning, difficult to find a place for breakfast.
Review 17:Nice hotel, friendly staff, good comfort, very clean. WiFi so-so but usable. Walking distance to Duomo and Milano center. Good choice of TV channels. Good choice for breakfast.
Review 18:Friendly staff, great restaurant and perfect location! We preferred to walk to the city centre instead of using taxis or public transport. The bed and pillows were very comfortable; I have never been impressed by that before :)
Review 19:Not much shopping around and need to walk a fair distance to a decent good restaurant. Bit dull surroundings.
Review 20:Good clean hotel and kind/helpful staff.
Review 21:The staff not giving enough information to tourist like us such as the city centre and transportation.we need to ask for whatever we wanted to know. Room is quite small
Review 22:Breakfast is great!
Review 23:Wifi, though free, was very weak signal
Review 24:Good value for money in a convenient location with good facilities, friendly staff and a decent breakfast, served until late at the weekend.
Review 25:An iron and kettle should be provided.
Review 26:Location was excellent for the conference I was attending. Good breakfast. NH have always satisfied me, both for business and pleasure.
Review 27:Some staff members are rude. The 3 bed room is actually a 2 bed and a sofa bed, in which they dont inform you of,instead they make out its a junior suite and they have upgraded you but if you look on there website there is no such thing. When trying to clarify they put you from pillar to post and the staff speak Italian among themselves in front of you. If you question them at all on the service they provided your black listed and known among the staff. We were three girls that went on a weekend away and felt like we were underminded and treated like children.
Review 28:Dear all, NH Milano touring was a lovely hotel and is quite central to milans shopping streets and night clubs. I'd recommend the hop on bus straight away as it helps you find your feet. Breakfast was lovely.
Review 29:No good restuarants and shopping malls within walking distance. Rate I pre-booked early was very much higher than the rate I booked for an extra night 5 days before my trip.
Review 30:Very helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms and Super Breakfast. 10 Min walk to Metro.
Review 31:No design at all in the room and the hotel, looks like there wasn't any design tough, but that a small thing. The hotel is a nice walk to the center about 15-20 minutes, but on a nice weather it's o.k.
Review 32:The room was big and comfortable, we took the xl on the 9th floor, was quite. Breakfast was very good as well. There is opposite the hotel a train to the center.
Review 33:Great location, very central, metro in walking distance. You could reach Duomo within 10 min. Also great staff, kind and helpful. And comfy beds. A very good choice.
Review 34:I would have preferred an iron in my room for my work clothes - instead there was an ironing room downstairs. The room was a bit chilly - I couldn't get the temperature above 21C - but wasn't really an issue.
Review 35:Staff were nice, helpful and spoke very good English.
Review 36:They throw away each day the soap as well as shampoos we had just opened. It is not very ecological approach.
Review 37:Room was very clean and location was good.
Review 38:I don't have any compliants.
Review 39:The room was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. The location was good as it was close to the Duomo, but far enough away to where it was quiet. About a 15 min walk, which is a pleasant one. The staff was able to speak English as well.
Review 40:5` walk to the underground station Repubblica. Only 20' taxi ride from Linate airport. Next to the hotel is a huge park, ideal for a morning run or a stroll in the afternoon.
Review 41:All is on the pictures... + manager and desk manager both away for theweek end. (A main week end in Milano) "Before managers used to taketurns, but now there is no manager from friday evening to mondaymorning" (a disappointed employee)
Review 42:- slowmotion reception desk, untrained on escalation process (managing director is not reachable during weekends) - value for money (microscopicc room for EUR 300+/night)
Review 43:- restaurant staff & porter service very good and helpful - rich breakfast buffet
Review 44:Don't know if it was my room location but quite a lot of corridor noise during cleaning of the rooms and it went for hours.
Review 45:Clean comfortable room with excellent wifi. Double glazed windows Fantastic breakfast selection.
Review 46:Sometimes the line was long at the reception desk as they are very busy.
Review 47:Walking distance to Duomo ...and shopping, also walking distance to the castle...Very good breakfast choices...Really liked the portable wifi as we didn't have service, very convenient!!
Review 48:Since I've seen a self service check-in/out system at another hotel, I always would like to have it. It's so quick and comfortable...
Review 49:Nice room, cleverly designed. Quick wifi.
Review 50:For the price of the rooms hotel should provide more water bottles for drinking specially when you have children. Instead of one bottle for coffee also need two for drinking.. Could be more friendly ... Why the extra service charge for room service?
Review 51:Overall ok.. Location good..
Review 52:Parking was a bit of a hassle. It would be nice if the hotel could offer a voucher (or something similar) for street or garage parking.
Review 53:The hotel was comfortable and clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Delicious breakfast buffet!
Review 54:1) The room was impossibly small to even move or unpack! 2) You HAVE to pay for using the business center which consists of One pc! And even pay for one printed page!
Review 55:Breakfast
Review 56:Breakfast was ok in terms of quantity but taste was blunt
Review 57:Location is OK, the facility is well maintained and clean, furniture is in a good state and clean.
Review 58:Service was terrible. There were a huge line at the reception and only two service managers were operating very slowly. When I tried several times to call from the room to an operator, nobody picked up the phone. At the breakfast I had to wait for a tea for 15 minutes
Review 59:Location
Review 60:receptionist gave me normal room when arrived and first clamed that it is XL room!!! Then, he explaned that they are fully booked and I can get XL room next day, then... I got XL room as It was confirmed after hard (and stupit) comversation!!!
Review 61:Location is very good, a special for my business! I am fashion buyer... XL room is good size + beds are 130cm - very important, because I am traveling with friend/collegue and we are taking ine room for both of us!
Review 62:There is a big trouble about hotel and booking. I booked a room for 3people a triple room, but in hotel ,I just have a big bed room, I pay one more room for two days, I booked hotel eveywhere around Italy. Just this hotel give me the trouble.
Review 63:Breakfast is very good
Review 64:Breakfast was so busy and noisy There are not enough lifts. You sometimes waited ages and then it was full.
Review 65:Good location - halfway between Central railway station and city centre, although a bit of a walk to either. Comfortable/stylish room - although the chairs were style over comfort Good breakfast - large selection / waiting staff very efficient - but very busy and noisy.
Review 66:The price. Although the hotel is very nice, it is too expensive.
Review 67:Quiet, cosy and confortable room. Room with a modern and very nice design. Although I arrived very early, I was given immediately a room, which was great. Very nice and diverse breakfast! Only regret that I only stayed a night.
Review 68:The breakfast room was very crowded, although staff were doing their utmost to accommodate everyone and very helpful. Unfortunately we had a very bad check-out experience, having to wait in line for too long and staff who did not know what to do...
Review 69:Great location to explore Milan. The room was very nice and the bed comfortable. The breakfast buffet was impressive.
Review 70:None
Review 71:The location was perfect, the facilities very good and the staff excellent. We left behind a small item and the hotel staff, especially Paolo, worked very hard to get this back to us, we had many problems with the courier company and the hotel and Paolo dealt with them extremely well. I can't thank them and commend them enough, they are fantastic. Thank you.
Review 72:Nothing, it was all great.
Review 73:The location was excellent, we were able to walk from central station in more or less a straight line to our hotel, and it was only a ten minute walk to the historic centre of town. The staff at the hotel were extremely efficient and friendly, particularly our waiter Luca. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent and for this reason we ate at the hotel a lot. Price was very reasonable for the location. Would definitely return.
Review 74:The hotel was in a great location by a park and within short walking distance of station and Duomo. The staff were friendly and the bar and restaurant were very clean and comfortable. The choice of breakfast was good as was the Lavazza coffee from the machine!
Review 75:Nothing
Review 76:This hotel is suitable both for a business stay and a leisure/travel stay. Rooms are large and regularly cleaned, staff is professional and caring, the hotel's position is ideal to reach both the train station and the tube stop (Repubblica or Turati), and breakfast is rich.
Review 77:During our stay of three days the room was not cleaned once, the bed were not made and no change of towls; not even after a complaint on the second day. The receptionist apologized but there was no effort to do anything about it
Review 78:Very good location of the hotel; close to the main railway station and the city centre. Rich breakfast and mainly a helpful staff.
Review 79:It's extremely recommended place. Not a first time staying there and will come back for sure! Excellent location, brand new facilities, good breakfast and extremely nice staff! Thanks for a pleasant stay and hope to see you soon! :)
Review 80:The staff at this hotel are inefficient and rude. when I checked out, I ordered a big tax as we had a lot of luggage. Jessica yelled at me for having so much luggage as she had called an odinary taxi. Another guy would not help us book a tour. The Armani Hotel arranged this for us with ease. I woud not stay here again. They bring disgrace to the hotel group. I stayed at the same hotel group in Florence and they were briliant. Checking in and out was also tedious. 4 workstations and only one 2 people working.
Review 81:The location is perfect.
Review 82:Room was very small, A/C was fixed on 22 degrees considering the hot weather, WiFi was very bad inside the rooms
Review 83:Good friendly staff, good breakfast and perfect location.
Review 84:Welcome was a bit cold. Well, its a big hotel chain and not a small family run hotel.
Review 85:I asked for a room in the upper floors with the reservation. That was respected. Beds were very comfortable.
Review 86:Location was just outside the centre but only a 10 minute walk.
Review 87:Hotel was nice quality, staff welcoming and helpful, room was good quality and minibar was a plus as it was hot while we were there, overall I'd use this hotel again, close to train station too.
Review 88:The hotel has no parking: I had to park my car in a nearby hotel where they charge 30 euros/day.
Review 89:The staff is very professional and you see them with supervisor everywhere. The interiors of the rooms is very good and modern. The breakfast is very good with everything in a big lounge.
Review 90:was charged with extra €20 comparing with the price i got on booking.com with no explanation for what was the charge for. also my friends were charged the same. in my opinion should be more transparency for the charge but at the reception they didn't know how to explain the extra charge.
Review 91:the room was clean and had a nice view.
Review 92:Always cue at the reception, no ironing conditiins.
Review 93:New furniture, very clean room, diversity at breakfast, very good service in the restaurant and bar, quite good location.
Review 94:I received a wrong room key, when I check in. It was cold in the room. It was not a coffee machine in the room. For every little question I had to stay in line behind the people who come to check inn - a lot of waiting.
Review 95:Good location Good food.
Review 96:Staff was great, very nice and helpfull. Everyone at reception, restaurant, floor services, security etc. smiles and tries to help. We stayed there with my 1 year old son 12 nights and although it was difficult to stay in a hotel with the baby we left quite happy and satisfied. Thanks a lot...
Review 97:The one downside was the lack of staff at the front desk. Even when there was a queue of people waiting to check in, there was usually only one person at the desk. I had to wait a long time on several occasions just to ask a question or request a service as a guest.
Review 98:We were impressed with the location of the hotel. It was a nice walking distance from the Duomo. The room was small, but modern and clean.
Review 99:We tried to cancel part of our booking with 48 hours notice and were still charged for one day of our trip. Also they placed us in a room that appeared to have had an overflow problem as the floor outside the bathroom had a blackened area, the bathroom was equipped with handlebars for the elderly. As we paid full price this should not have happened. They did however change the room which was appreciated.
Review 100:Breakfast and breakfast staff, the room we were moved to was well equipped and maintained. Free water at front desk.
Review 101:Parking is an issue. There is a nearby garage parking.
Review 102:Breakfast is perfect. Everyhing is available. If you like something not exposed, you ask and staff will bring to you such as fried eggs and fresh orange juice. One of our three rooms had problem with A/C and they gave us another room.
Review 103:Small rooms, little overpriced compared to comparable hotels in othercities (assumingly because of expo?)
Review 104:Town center within easy reach (20 min. On foot), quiet area. Superb freewifi, interesting twists for breakfast (asian dumplings, broccoli-melon-grape juice etc). Cozy beds to sleep for 10 hours like a baby. Close tosubway (5 min on foot) enables easy access to expo
Review 105:When checking in, we wasn't informed about breakfast schedules etc.
Review 106:The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was luxurious and delicious. The room was clean, modern and very nice.
Review 107:Unfortunately, the bed was hard. As a side sleeper it meant allot of tossing and turning. The bathroom was very modern, but quite tight. Only room for one person at a time.
Review 108:The Staff was very helpful and friendly. The WiFi strong and reliable. Main lobby nicely arranged. Comfy leather seating. Loved the water with fresh lime slices available in the lobby to all guests. Jessica was one of our favourites at the front desk. Wonderful smile & very informative. Breakfast buffet had good variety.
Review 109:There is no kettle provided to standard room. No instruction or price list of the mini bar too. Location is not far to the metro but not really close to anything else.
Review 110:Given me a high floor, bright and a space room. The breakfast is excellent.
Review 111:I usually stay at NH Milano Touring on my business trip in Milan. This time I made two bookings. The first booking is for the standard room, then the second booking, after a week, for the superior room. The air-condition in my superior room could not be adjusted to be lower that 22c while it could be adjusted to 19c in my friends'. I had asked the hotel to change the room, and they offered the room next to my room with everything is the same. So, by paying more for the superior room, what I received are the size of the room that is similar to the standard room, the air-condition that didn't work properly as the standard room, the bathroom that is even smaller than the standard room. Only the decoration that is said to be "newly renovated". The more I stay at this hotel, the smaller room I get (even the same type of room). So, if you are going to stay here, either pay for the standard room or superior XL onwards. Also, even you requested the early check in. Some might get the room, some might not.
Review 112:Breakfast is quite good compare to some other hotels. The staffs are quite helpful in general.
Review 113:- Very small room - Only one bath towel was given per day although we were 2 persons in a double room! - no electric kettle for tea & coffee - poor toiletries
Review 114:Always long line at reception. That's the only problem.
Review 115:Great location, can be seen easily when out from metro Republica, just 2 stops from Milan Centrale. Convenient, modern, wonderful breakfast.Very nice bed and bathroom shower, with international electrical outlet!
Review 116:We always had to wait for a long time at the reception
Review 117:The location is very convenient. It is just 10 minutes away from some of the most popular shopping streets.
Review 118:I stay here about 4-5 times a year. The size of the room is quite small. There is not much different between standard and superior room. Actually the standard room might even have bigger bathroom and room space. The worst thing is that when I stayed in the standard room, the A/C work well, but not in the superior room. So, beware that you might pay extra for 'newly decoration' with the un-breathable A/C and smaller bathroom. And the staff couldn't help much.
Review 119:As I stay here for business trip, it's near my work place. Free portable/pocket wifi
Review 120:It isn't in the heart of the city (but metro stop is within 100m) Breakfast was good, but not WOW
Review 121:The room was really nice, lots of space, big bed Friendly and helpful staff
Review 122:Those two grumpies at the front desk!! When a customer arrive to your hotel,i think you should kindly welcome her and say hello,is it too diffucult to pay attention to the newly arrive customer?!? We waited about 10-15 minutes without even an eye contact! They stare at their very 'important' computer like 15 minutes without say anything and we stand just front of them!! It was really like a sitcom. Then i said Heyy helloo, and the answer was hillarous,"hang on I am busy"!!!Really ?!? Of course you are busy it is a hotel for god sake!!! They are so rude and unfriendly i have never seen that kind of attitude in any hotel or restaurant.Lucky for us we never had to see them again during our stay thankfully!!!
Review 123:Great location,great breakfast
Review 124:I'm surprised this hotel does not have a higher overall rating because i travel a lot and consider myself a demanding client and i thought NH touring was excellent- 10/10. New, clean, professional staff, great location, excellent breakfast (important one). Recommended!!
Review 125:I paid for double room for two people, but we got only one set of cosmetics, one sleepers, etc. They made the bed carelessly. When we asked to leave the room two, three hrs later, they asked me to pay extra fee. The desk servise was in general not helpful and unfriendly. Especially one elder serviceman's behawior was strange. His face was wry. Frankly, I visited much more better 3* hotels and a few 5* cheaper... Cannot recomend at all.
Review 126:Breakfast was acceptable.
Review 127:Breakfast was good, but too crowded. We had to stand in queue for relativ long time in order to get a cup of coffee. And one morning our table was cleared (with full plates!) and new guests were about to sit down, while we were waiting for coffee at the other end of the room.
Review 128:Good location. Easy access to centre of Milan as well as to Metro and trams.
Review 129:I don't dislike anything about Milano Touring, but if thy had a gym that would be an improvement.
Review 130:The staff was accommodating and pleasant. The hotel itself was great and so was the location.
Review 131:The hotel is not stroller-friendly (or wheelchair). There are stairs at the main entrance and stairs to go to the breakfast buffet. That's the only negative point, but quite a big one.
Review 132:The location is perfect, you are very close to the metro station. To the central train station it's only one stop, but you can easily walk as well. The rooms are nice and clean. They offer a very rich breakfast buffet.
Review 133:The staff could've been more helpful. They appeared like they didn't want to be bothered with our questions. Also, when we asked for directions to the soccer stadium, we were told to get off in one location and walked when in fact the metro line was completed and there was a stop that leaves you right at the stadium.
Review 134:The facilities were good and the breakfast had lots of options. It was close to the train station and the Duomo.
Review 135:The staff at the front desk are very arrogant and rude. We arrived 15 minutes before 3 to be told there was no room and it would not be ready for an hour. When you are only staying for 1 night this impacts how much time you can spend enjoying the city in the afternoon. Lifts are very slow! We waited 3 or 4 minutes each time.
Review 136:The rooms are very modern and the breakfast is very good. The desk will get you a taxi within minutes.
Review 137:Limited choice of menu in restaurant, especially for vegetarians. Pricey for what was on offer; I'm not sure the very gelatined (not as delicate or creamy as it should be) bavarois dessert was worth €10.
Review 138:Staf were helpful about giving directions (and map) to places we needed to go.
