Reviews for Tiki Hôtel

Review 1:Some of the staff are students from the hotel school so they may be a bit "lost" sometimes.

Review 2:Quite close to the airport (3-4kms). Clean and good hotel.

Review 3:Room decor and shower were a bit dated but good value for money.

Review 4:A short taxi ride from airport and cruise terminal. Checked in at 6.30 a.m. after overnight flight. Michael and staff were very friendly and helpful. Smashing home cooked pastries for breakfast eaten outside in the sunshine. Flowers on the bed were lovely.

Review 5:There is nothing particularly great about the location in Papeete. It is not near the beach and is actually on the other side of the airport from the ferry dock. For the money you pay you shouldn't really expect that.

Review 6:My Wife and I stayed here because of low cost and distance from the airport as we arrived at 1 am and needed a place to crash until we could catch a ferry to Moorea. The place is associated with a hospitality school and everyone was exceedingly helpful. The rooms were clean and bed was comfortable which was all we really needed. I would recommend this place for those with similar needs.

Review 7:The hotel is a part of the local school and comprises a year of the elective students curriculum. Very friendly, we arrived at 01.00, very friendly reception and told not necessary to check out at normal 10.00. Petit breakfast, croissant and coffee/tea great value $1.50. $15 taxi ride from airport. Next time we will try their restaurant

Review 8:We were hoping to stay there again during our departure , but the hotel was closed on weekends. The management should seriously consider keeping the hotel open on weekends.

Review 9:The friendly and courteous staff, clean and quiet rooms and the right price all added to a really good experience.

Review 10:Charging for the internet-- thats out of time! Take a few dollars more for the room and give Internet for free!

Review 11:Very very friendly staff. There is a bus station just 5min walking to get to the ferry by bus (200 xpf)

Review 12:We had a terrible time locating the property. Our confirmation didn't mention Lycee Hotelier or a phone number. Bus drivers didn't know Hotel Tiki. We were dumped way south at Le Merdien to get help in English. A front desk person there went through a number of sources to figure out where you were in Punaauia.

Review 13:After getting our luggage up the hill in the heat, we were offered a refreshing drink, which was most welcome.

Review 14:No free wifi. It does not bother us as we arrived very late to hotel and leave early the next day. If you dont have car to travel around is inconvenient.

Review 15:Very polite, helpful, service with a smile staff members. Very clean hotel, lovely view as hotel is on the hill.

Review 16:We had to pay 480f fir an hour if wifi

Review 17:We like the reasonable price, and the location is excellent if you have a car or you are on your way to the airport, the service was excellent the students very friendly

Review 18:The hotel, which goes by a different name, was located quite far away from any amenities, and was rather pricey considering it's a teaching hotel. Nothing tops the hotel restaurant, though - it was a complete joke. There were at least six waitresses standing around and only two options on the menu (no appetizers, no desserts, simply two entrees), both of which cost $40 a plate. We left and spent the night hungry.

Review 19:The staff were always friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was awesome.

Review 20:Little hard to locate; Not very busy. It is affiliated with a hotel training school so all employees were trainees but extremely courteous.

Review 21:Everything! great location with a view of the bay, nice clean rooms, excellent room details, well-preparaed etc. Reasonable price. Beautiful landscaping! Near the international airport.

Review 22:It was hard to find. Recommend putting more signs out by the round about.

Review 23:Nice accommodations. Staff is friendly. Would stay again. Note: Internet with pre-paid cards, about $5 per hour.

Review 24:Good value for the price. The hotel is a training center for hospitality employees - as long as you know this and are patient, as many of the staff are trainees, then this is a great place to stay! Impeccably clean.

Review 25:The taxies have difficulty finding the place. It is better to ask for Lycee hotelier de Outumaoro

Review 26:Good room with all facilities at a fair price. The staff are all students of the hotelschool

Review 27:Not all staff speak English well. It is set off the main road with a steep walk down, but the plusses far outweigh the location. We really enjoyed our stay!.

Review 28:The single bungalow was lovely - great furnishings, spacious with a traditional design, and a wonderful soaker tub. The outside patio overlooked a grassy area and the further view of a gorgeous crystal blue harbor and sailboats. It was quiet and comfortable following our long flight, and a great introduction to the island. Good breakfast options on-site.

Review 29:Restaurant has fixed menu only. Bungalow did have a mouse in it but staff moved us to a nice room on higher floor.

Review 30:Hotel is located on a hill with nice views. The bungalows are very spacious and nicely appointed. Staff was very accommodating.

Review 31:My family of six (three rooms) stayed there for one night after a long flight from LAX. Caught an early morning flight to another island, so I can't say much about amenities, or other features, but for that purpose the Tiki was perfect. The staff was literally waiting for us with a key and a smile. They arranged for a taxi and a wake up and in the morning we were gone. The rooms were clean and cool with flowers on the bed. Perfect for us!

Review 32:Location is not convenient for those without car. Only breakfast available and no restuarants near.Staff did not know where a massage could be had, except Intercontinental which is greatly overpriced

Review 33:Balcony view is good

Review 34:Got woken up at 7am after checking in to the hotel at 1am which was very annoying. Its a training school so young students do everything and speak minimal english but they are all super nice.

Review 35:Very clean and comfortable. Aircon was amazing and the flowers were cute. Close to the airport

Review 36:It was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 37:impossible to find, no signposting, charge for internetl

Review 38:friendly portier

Review 39:staff spoke little English

Review 40:everything

Review 41:Good clean simple accommodation. Great value. Students very willing. The hotel is associated with the school!

Review 42:Hard mattresses

Review 43:Polite personnel Clean room

Review 44:Good for the price!

Review 45:I saw a mouse in my room The advertised airport shuttle is not available

Review 46:Location near airport is convenient

Review 47:il faut libérer la chambre avant 10 heure.

Review 48:Le prix

Review 49:Great location, nicr view, close to airport, cool staff - hotel school, worth money.

Review 50:there is no restraunt for dinner;

Review 51:Great location with a view , friendly staff , very clean rooms. Staff was very helpful with getting taxi's . Near airport . Enjoyed our stay .

Review 52:unfortunately Lunch and Dinner was fully booked at that time and there is no Restaurant near by.

Review 53:...close to the airport and a good value for money

Review 54:It wasn't easy to find the hotel. Actually the hotel building is at the university campus (I guess it's a hostel partially that was remodeled - that's why the Tiki Hotel name didn't help when asked people about it). Didn't try inhouse restaurant, as we saw noone else eating.

Review 55:It was OK for a one night stay.

Review 56:Nothing

Review 57:The staff were very helpful and friendly

Review 58:The fact that it is a different name at the hotel to what it is on here (Booking.com). Hotel Lycée or something different to Tiki Hotel anyway.

Review 59:We were overcharged and didn't realize until going back later to recheck the booking.
